after my university days, the first business I ventured into was fish barbecue and I did at nysc orientation camp, as I know these otondo coppers like evening enjoyment, well it was a wonderful experience but after going to about three camps I decided to stop because Nigerians decided to flood the camp with their barbecue stand as well too and the hustle became too competitive with little profit margin. Essence of my story is , if you have a good location and customer base you will live well with the business.

please and please do not come into the business, if you must come in you need millions and millions of naira. To put things in perspective fish feed we used to buy for 4k is now being sold for over 10k, so if you add the extra cost to each bag of feed you need for your fish you'd see that we are talking about millions. It is still lucrative but no longer a cheap business

How can there be this jump in price of petrol not to talk about the ripple effect it would have on other goods and services and there's not even a single cent rise in the pay of the common man? Fueling my car to full tank would cost me almost 40k that won't take me for one week. How much is my income? If fuel consumes more than 200k a month

The main issue of all right now is that her boss, she once worked for who she was consciously sleeping with inside office once others are not around, always, hotel, even when they (claim) or go to conference or meetings together, knowing that he is a married man, called her yesterday to give her a job offer to return . This is a boss she served years back, even during uni he kept calling and always wanting to have her, during and after NYSC he kept calling her for him to have a bite, same boss she was pregnant for and aborted for him, though she hanged it on her boyfriend as of that time and the guy didn't know . She never told me all these her self, but I won't like to share here how I got to know.

The same man she has been avoiding for years, that she doesn't want to go back to sin or her past life, but just yesterday she even took excuse sneaked out of office and went to see him and accepted the offer, then came back home called me to tell me this and that and before I could talk she said she has accepted it, was shocked and trying to reason why she did that, she asked me if there was anything wrong in her decision, she began to yell at me on phone, as usual I kept mute and ended the call. Please would I be wrong if at this point I take a bow and leave now?

As a retired man with meager money, I decided to manage a little business which barely gives me much money. One of these my children, a professional, though not teacher, is currently residing with me doing teaching job in different places as part time, pending when he would get a much better job.

We are living in my personal house. l would single handedly pay electricity bills, lawnman, etc. My son would not want to help in any way, not even with pure water of #10 claiming that he is with his father.

Efforts to convince him to assist me is not yielding positive result, instead he would pick quarrels with me. His senior sister has married, while the junior brother is still in the school as dependant, what sort of counseling do you think he needs to change.

I am afraid even if this boy owns shop rite in future, he would not help either.

sir I would tell you from personal experience kick him out of your house , I repeat kick him out, if it is to assist him with part fund to rent a one room apartment please do, ensure you drive out the entitlement mentality from him now before it is too late else, when you are no more your family would be amazed at his actions and decisions, I can't share my personal experience on this forum but I hope you see this message and think twice. Ensure you get him to be responsible for atleast himself while you are alive.

lol you shouldn't be sorry man, I am doing well outside the geology field. My advise is to the young man. If he seeks job after education and he is relying on geology he will be severely disappointed. That's why I have my earlier advice of petroleum or production engineering. Ps in the oil and productive sector in nigeria if 10 people are wanted tfor employment 8 would be engineers and 2 would be geosciences. So that would give you an idea of job opportunities as a geologist

undergraduate you still are, I am a graduate from uniben for over ten years with a very good result , I think I would be the one to advice you here bro. Just ensure you go for masters and do not end up doing geophysics like the bandwagon. You'll regret it

He's better off with geology/Geophysics. There are little to no jobs in the oil industry. PE is too streamlined,I'll never advise anyone to study PE as a first degree. I'm studying PE and in my finals and I know better now,wish I had someone to put me through earlier on.
