[quote author= post=100797010]JAMB being one of the highest revenue generating Board in this administration compared to the 16 years of looting and failures (and most noticeably in 40 years of the existence of our darling nation), they still have some criminals in their midst, that have been used to stealing and blind looting.

They need to step up their technology to fix these abnormalities.
Na d same JAMB snakes and monkeys They swallow millions of naira.
They can and should do better.

52 Million Naira generated in 40 years and almost 8 Billion Naira generated in 5 years! shocked shocked

we are in the age where everyone wants to be heard and everyone wants to be noticed and liked

and this has resorted to so many new trends and culture that back in the days didn't exist.

Now a woman wants equal right as a man and will say "what a man can do a woman can do better"

I'm not against this movement or trend or whatever it is called

but if a wife also struggles for equal rights in terms of leadership with her husband

then who is the follower, who gives the instructions, who is the one to submit

two captains can't lead a ship but it seems in this days of social media everyone wants to take the lead.

so who is really the head of the house?
I guess your mother is the head of your family

oluwasegun007:
First of all the govt know the solution...but for so many reasons which include political reason they decide not to solve this problem.

Solving insecurity in this 21st century is centred around Technology and critical intelligence gathering which Nigeria currently lack.

Solution 1: we need to procure high tech unmanned drones that will man our territorial borders from unwanted infiltration and most importantly give our ground troops informed coordinate of insurgents and bandits location against ambush and attack and kidnapping..
NB: that this solution would be most effective in the north east, north west.
And it's much affordable when compared to solution 2.

Solution 2: launch Nigeria owned and controlled satellite in space (not the one launched and controlled from china). The satellite is to watch the entire country giving both the military, NSA, and para military information of ground activity throughout the country including the coastal region...the satellite would be a foundation to our missile program (that is if we have plan for any in the future) which would be launched at interval to destroy insurgents and bandits from their enclaves.

NB, solution one is short term while solution 2 is long term.

God bless Nigeria
The problem of this country is corruption. They will still money meant for security equipment

BBYYOLA:
AS PRESIDENT I WILL SOLVE THE SECURITY PROBLEMS AS FOLLOWS;

Finishing the Book Haram
As a President I Know it will not be an easy task to reduce to the bearest minimum the current level of insecurity in Nigeria. All the insecurity challeges in the country only Boko Haram (BH) will need a drastic, kinetic and offensive attack to finish them. For the BH, all the Service Chiefs and myself will relocate to Maiduguri Borno State until we finish the Boko Haram terrorists. I will lead the war to end Boko Haram even if it will meant me loosing my life in the course. I know I died in a good course. My VP will remain in Abuja to be carrying out other Governmental and officials issues on my behalf. I will inform him for critical ones decisions he should consult me.
Half of all our security forces like the Army, Navy, Airforce, Police (Mobile force), civil defense,Customs, and Immigration will be send to Maiduguri and spread across including to Yobe state and some of Adamawa State.
All allowances for the security personnels fighting the insurgency will be paid directly to their account. No involvement of third party. Reshuffling and reposting of the security will take place every three months. No compromise or sabotage from anybody in the fight against the insurgents.

Farmers/Herdsmen Clashes
There will all inclusive round table discussions with all stakeholders concern on the root causes of conflicts and way forward. Senate President, Speaker National Assembly, IGP will be at the meeting. Recommendations will be divided into short-term, and long term so that these people will be see the implementation commence.

Kidnappings
Executive order will immediately be passed into law for the execution of anybody apprehended with hands in kidnappings. Security personnels from the Police, Army, DSS, and Civil defense will be specially trained in Anti-kidnappings activities. They will be trained in sophisticated technologies of responding to kidnappings. Countries such as US, France, Russia will be invited in training the special forces against Kidnappings. There will stations for the special forces at all the major express and high ways across the country. Govt will announce that there is no payment of any ransome in case of kidnappings.

IPOB, SUNDAY IGBOHO, AND OTHERS
The criminal activities by these groups of people were purely as a result of unfair treatment from the central Govt and nepotism. There will be fair for all citizens irrespective of tribe, religion or geographical location. The Govt will send it agents for discussion and way forward with them behind the scene. If it proof abortive govt will handle them in a better way.

IBRAHIM EL-ZAKZAKY OF SHIA SECT WILL BE UNCONDITIONALLY RELEASED AND COMPENSATED.

It is matter of time. Most people who use ussd or mobile bank app can also use fintech. I use fintech to recharge over weekend. Banks are very greedy. # 2.5 is ok for #100. Banks are insisting on #4.5. Mind you banks will still charge customers #4 for alerts.
And you think MTN is not greedy? Why do you have to choose one greedy company over another? Why did mtn choose to reduce it in the first place? I'm not supporting any side because they are both greedy

What is there to understand?
I don't think you've been following this Bank-Telcom faceoff.
Telcoms have been demanding that banks payoff billions of Naira in debts incurred over USSD usage; a debt that banks have been dodging.
So now they've decided to terminate the service themselves probably to stop further debts accruing.
You that understood the article, why not give us a detailed analysis instead of insulting every living thing on the thread. Tufia, human beings.
If you have been following you would have known by now that the Bank-Telcom face off as regard use of USSD codd has been resolved since March 16th precisely. Go back and read the article don't be lazy

Subsidybad21:
Simple. The value of the naira has fallen since Jonah's time when crude cost 100 dollars per barrel so not enough dollars to raise the value of the naira due to fall in crude prices since 2014( we had it as low as 30 dollars in 2016)

Also the revenue available now to subside fuel is less rhan it was under Jonah's time again due to low oil prices. We are making at least 40 dollars less per barrel of crude compared to 2012. Laat year it was as high as 80 dollars less per barrel. In 2016 it was 100 dollars less per barrel.

And even then in 2012 Jona wanted to remove subsidy completely because even at that high oil price it was no longer sustainable. Nigerians said no then.
Can you tell us the price of crude oil in 1999 and also the value of the naira?
Politics › Re: Petrol: NNPC Can No Long Bear N120bn Monthly Subsidy – Kyari Warns Nigerians by loswhite(m): 6:18am On Mar 26, 2021
Subsidybad21:
Truth

That's what NNPC has been screaming since forever

At some point keeping fuel cheap is going to cost you billions of money that could have been used for other things.Like new refineries

It is time to let subsidy go. Many African countries who are poorer than us pay higher for fuel.

Subsidy has cost us billions in lost revenue and investment in new refineries and by extension jobs. Plus since 2012 the oil revenue has not been able to sustain the subsidy well. Time to let it go
Now what is the effect of higher prices? You guys are quick to call other African countries but will never mention that other African countries dont buy fuel to power generators Other countries dont use 60 million litres daily...you are just mad for posting this rubbish

Siting refinery close to residential areas and the city mainland, I don't know the kind of greed will let officials to allow that to happen. You think they are siting this investment in Lagos because they love you? Fulani want access to SW seaports in the event of breakup, as it's the only region closest to them.
