descarado:

You don't have to believe the bible to know that everything in life is controlled by the meta physical. Blood is the strongest and most potent single entity used to conjure up and maintain powers.

We fail to know that spermandegg are blood. Blood covenant is very intense. You have heard of child trafficking. Those children are used by powerful men and women cos the most potent energy in this universe is that of a virgin be it a boy or girl.
All strong men are pedophiles. Also, you want to see a strong man weak, get him to have sex with a woman sent to him by his opponent.

This has nothing to do with bible. Even your tradition attest to that. Go and make enquiry.

Oga calm down, nor take religion more seriously than people wen invent am. Science and logical reasoning has done more good in 100 years, than religion has done in 2,000 years.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not completely undermining the essence of religion in society, but religion as we know it today is more of brainwashing folks, than carrying out the mandates of the prophets than founded the multiple religions we have today.

I just don't get it. I mean if you aint extra, extra careful, you'll easily fall.

Someone who I know to be fervent in spirit just fell because of that same sin.
I'm not judging, I'm just curious. Why?
Question of the day - How do you resist the temptation?
Oga there is no sexual sin. Have sex and enjoy your life. The Bible is just a tool to control the masses.

Romance / Re: In A Dilemma Right Now, Please Advise by Lotechi(m): 11:53am On Sep 09, 2023
Nonywendy:
I have been dating this my girl friend since 2017. She made me fall and believe in love, she ticked all the qualities I desire in a woman. When I we started dating she was in her 200L, and everything was going on smoothly. Now this is where the issue lies,
When she went for service in another state, I started noticing some changes, wen she comes back home during holidays I used to go through her phone.(note: she has access to my phone and I too).
So one of those period I realised she is seeing another guy in the state where she is serving. I confronted her and she opened up to me and confessed. I forgave her.

Then after like 4months again, I later noticed she is also seeing another guy different from the initial one I noticed, she denied that but I had to do my deep investigation and got an evidence, she opened up again, at this point I broke up with her and moved on. After like one month she came back begging for forgiveness, It took me time to heal and I forgave her.

Then this last one that broke the camel's back, I noticed she traveled to the state where she did her youth service for something and all this while I thought she was staying with her sister, not knowing she was staying with the first guy she dated while serving whch she apologised. She stayed with her for three good weeks. How I realized was, I called her line one early morning arnd 3am and a guy picked the call asking me who I am. At first, I froze cos I haven't been in that kind of situation, I calmed down and explained everything to the guy, and the guy also told me she has been with her for the past three weeks and that's the girl friend too. I was shocked. I have broken up with her finally cos I don't think forgiving a cheating partner is worth it.
The first time she cheated, 90% of my friends advised me to dump her ass and move on but I had to forgive on the basis of nobody is perfect, but this third time is a no no.
Now she has been begging and asking for forgiveness that she has really learnt her lessons. At this point I'm just so mad that I don't want to forgive her.
Now the big problem is that I'm always seeing her in my dream, I have not really moved on cos it's not easy for me. I have loved her for solid 6 yrs plus.
Note: all the family members from my side and her side are fully aware of our relationship and have approved but they are not aware that I have broken up. If you are my shoes will you forgive her for this very last time or will her cheating continues?
Your advice and suggestions will be well appreciated. Thank you
. Your mumu nor too much - when a girl cheats on you, just know she’d cheat again and again. If you do not have a problem with dealing with the same issues forever, then you can forgive her. But for me, once a girl cheats on me, there is no way I am ever dating her again.

Hello Nairalanders,

I have this decision bothering me. I know it is a personal problem, but I believe everyone need some guidance at every point in life.

Straight to it, I have been considering Japa for over two years now and I think the opportunity might be here but I am having a cold feet.

I recently started working for a foreign company as a software engineer and the pay is decent when converted to Naira. Enough to live an averagely comfortable life. But my challenge now is that, I have been talking to some friends that are outside the country and they keep telling me how life is not easy there and cost of living is super expensive out there.

I currently earn $3000, which I plan to either save and travel or startup a business here in Nigeria. Please, Nairalanders with experience, is it worth japa to live an almost average life for almost the rest of your life or investing here in Nigeria and growing wealth?

The healthcare and quality education benefit is there as an advantage for japa though.

Thanks in advance for your responses!
I am not sure the country you are thinking of relocating to, or the relocation pathway. Because your experience in western countries is to a large extent dependent on the immigration pathway taken.
Assuming you are coming to the U.S as a skilled professional or H1-B employee, you need to know that as a software engineer in the U.S, you will make more than $3k per month. If you have an M.Sc from an American university, you should be able to make $100k+ per year in the U.S
Yes, it is more expensive to live in the U.S, but you earn more when you live here, and if you are entrepreneurial, you have access to relatively cheap loans to start and build your business ideas. In addition, the life here is way better and easier compared to Nigeria, and this is because of abundance of basic amenities, quality education, sound healthcare, no significant corruption, and food here is so cheap, among other things.

Biko, this is a new year, you men should learn to spend on your girlfriend/wife. Don't tight your hands.

Akagum!
You are simply stupid. Why should you expect a guy to pay any of your bills. If your parents did not have enough to take care of you, why did they give birth to you?

Aareona:
Earlier this year, I went back in time to few years back when I was doing so well in Nigeria. The noises from friends and all nurtured the decision to move abroad inside of me. I became so restless till I finally leave. The first day in Canada was the day I knew this place isn't where I can be forever. Most of us would have come back before the time we had in mind except for the fact that I don't still have enough. If I want to travel to naija for vacation now, I will need up to $4k. If I take that away from my savings, I don't know how I can recover.

No one tells about the downside of this place. I feel lonely, depressed and empty most times. Because no one to talk to, just everyone in my workplace goin about their business. If I make attempt to talk to them, they just waive it with a smile. It's been 3years here and the people I still talk to on video call are friends from Nigeria. It's been 3years and my savings is still Short of $20k despite how much my friends in Nigeria do tell me how easy it is for me to make money abroad but I never tell them my situation. I can't wait to make enough and leave Canada for good. I know a lot will come at me with the usuall "come back to Nigeria na", please this is not an attempt to denigrate your abroad heaven, just for me to rant out and be fine
What kind of job do you do, do you have your MA? If you are eager to make friends, go to an African church near you. Also being able to save about $20k in about 3years is quite commendable- when you do the conversion, that’s about 10million Naira. How many average people for Nigeria get 10million for their account? So my friend, please appreciate how much you have been able to accomplish in just 3years.

It says alot about how glaring the evil dealings and intentions of the Un!ted state are around the world. And thank God everyone is coming to terms with the fact.

Do you guys even think we are stupid? You make a 10% down payment you say you buy... Dude you are on mortgage, when you are done with the payment then let's have a conversation...

I don't do mortgage I buy land and build straight up... I hate credit life

I can't imagine buying boxers with credit card... My bank here in Nigeria have been telling me to take a credit card, I don't like it...

Credit life isn't good... Mortgage is credit... You make 10%or 20% deposit and spread the payment the next few years...

So why you come dey tell me say you bought a house like say you don finish mortgage

You save 8k monthly yet you never cibsh the mortgage payment nicely... Even the whites in USA how many of them save 6k a month... Abeg make we hear another gist bro
Also, why do I need to pay off my mortgage when I can put a down payment for another house, rent it out and my tenants pay the mortgage with their rent. That’s how wealth is built over time with credit! Just a little economic lesson.

You hate credit life because you are not very educated. Without access to relatively low interest loans, societies cannot adequately grow and keep up with innovation. I am not competing with you, I just answered the question they asked about how much I make in the US. If you buy your stuff outright, then good for you. Nor be quarrel, nor be fight. But one thing I can tell you is life is way better in the developed world - believe it or not.

that is great but don't think that you are thinking of Naira with me while reeling out this figures bro...

You factor in your rent and I know you will be paying at least over 3k as rent in a month if you live in a decent neighborhood. Then you pay utilities and other credit bills

It is not what you are making that matters it is what is left! Bro that's the truth

So forget what you make it is what you have left! Remeber you pay in USD bro

I bought a four bedroom house with my girlfriend and we split the mortgage. I currently pay about 1,350 for my part of monthly mortgage and utilities. I pay 600$ as car payment. Basically, I don’t spend more than $2,600 for all my bills including eating out and other stuff. So, I am able to save about $6-8k Monthly.
Do not let politicians fool you, life does not need to be as hard as it is in Nigeria.

hamouston91:

The last time I checked, I found out that people envy the things which they don't have. So I have no reason to envy them for their proud attitudes. And it's not the case of sending money, firstly you should know that nobody sends 1000 dollars home, and if true, then maybe in families with very poor financial situations.
But the point remains that most of these proud people have never received even a bottom dollar from their families abroad. Some have never even spoken to the families abroad, they just know that an uncle is in Canada, a cousin is in Ireland etc. Yet they pride themselves as if they won a gold medal or something.

Most of those who communicate regularly with their families abroad never exhibit such pride. I hope you understand me now? Thank you.
It’s simple economics. People are overjoyed when they get to work in an oil company in Nigeria, but not so much when they get a job in a private school; the reason is because of the difference in pay.
The same is true when you have a relative abroad, and they tell you stories of how sane it is, and the endless opportunities there. I am currently in the United States, and trust me, I have achieved in four years what I was unable to achieve in about 25yrs I was in Nigeria.
But I sometimes get very angry, because I sincerely believe that Nigerians in Nigeria deserve a better life than they have in Nigeria, but our leaders have continued to plunge the country into a banana-like republic.

Religion / Re: Why You Feel Remorseful After Certain Sexual Activities by Lotechi(m): 1:53pm On Aug 21, 2022
Interesting15:
God's design is that all forms of sexual pleasure should be shared between a married man and his female wife inside the safe confines of their marriage institution, with no other party involved

Therefore, any other sexual activity contrary to God's design is sinful and wrong, and a lot of people feel bad and dirty after indulging in them.

These sexual activities includes:

1. Premarital sex (fornication). Having sex when you are not married. 1 Corinthians 6: 18

2. Extramarital Sex (Adultery). Having sex with someone other than your own spouse. Exodus 20:14; Proverbs 6:32-34

3. Homosexuality: Sexual relations between members of same gender, like lesbianism (which is between females) and gayism (which is between males). Romans 1:26-32

4. Pornography And Masturbation. Deriving sexual pleasure from seeing the unclothedness of others; Playing with your sexual organs for sexual pleasures. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4

5. Other Immoral Sexual Acts like smooching someone not your married spouse, sextings and the rest of them. Colossians 3:5

One of the major reasons you feel remorseful after doing something wrong is because you have a conscience. God created you and purposefully inserted your conscience inside you as one of His instruments to regulate your actions. He did this because of love. So that, whether you are a believer or not, you won't go on taking dangerous steps that will bring you into harm.

Now, if your conscience is dead and you don't feel bad after doing wrong and sinful things, you are close to destruction. Hence, you should quickly declare a state of emergency over your life, and run to Jesus for help right now. Simply call upon the Name of Jesus RIGHT NOW, and ask Him to show you mercy.

If you have indulged in sexual immorality, repent and ask the LORD for mercy. It gets easier as you get closer to Jesus, giving your attention to spiritual things only. Study the Bible more, pray and fast often, etc. You can contact me if you need assistance.

Finally, the flesh is weak, and the devil will always want you to indulge in sin so you can destroy yourself. Therefore, avoid people, things and places that keeps pushing you into sinful things.

The LORD comes...
