Steal your billions and throw a few thousands at you. Oh Africa! We need to be educated. Even the educated ones are guilty of this. Blinded by ethnic bigotry, religious affiliations. For how long will we continue like this? How can a governor be throwing public funds that would otherwise have being used to better the life of the populace at the people. Are these the kind of leaders we have? And somebody says APC came with change? We have not gotten to Uhuru yet. We should kick them out till we get the crop of leaders that are serious minded in this country
I don't know though but we the younger generation need to form a common front to chase these greedy set of political rascals. As it stands now, I am scared for the future of our country and by extension the continent.

It has to be difficult to believe that a King/ igwe/ empire/president will allow his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to be slaughtered in order to free SHEKAU of his sins.

.but it starts to make sense when you realize that the King was the one who created "Shekau" and his initial thought for Shekau was for him to dominate the earth and cultivate it, but Shekau got carried away and wallowed in sin. Then the only way was to send a "warrior son" to the forest to get the "egg of life" and fight against the force that ab initio held "Shekau" captive

How can a Nigerian believe the son of a Jewish carpenter killed in a small Israeli village aeons ago was dying for their sins when the Jews themselves don't believe that crhap?

there are even far more Muslims in Israel than there are Christians and that is saying a lot

Judaism (75%)
Islam (17.5%)

Christianity (2.0%)
Druzism (1.5%)

these guys who's ancestors lived during Jesus time and interacted with him didn't believe he was dying for them but a Nigerian read a book and quickly concluded the Jews are wrong. A slavery endorsing book handed to them by their pink skinned slavemasters

its like saying you know Buhari more than those that are interacting with him because you read punch newspapers

There is nothing sensible about Abraham believing his wife could give birth at such an advanced age.

There is nothing sensible about Oyedepo engaging in a one year fast which resulted to nose bleeding but yet still continued...

There is nothing sensible about a Missionary leaving the good life of Europe and crashing out at sea or dying of malaria. Yet more senseless ones kept coming even hearing others had perished!

Politics / Re: Did Audu Ogbeh Lie About The Collapse Of Thailand's Rice Mills? by Lotechi(m): 11:34pm On Mar 04, 2018
Esejojo:
FACT CHECK: Did Audu Ogbeh Lie About the Collapse of Thailand's Rice Mills?

On Friday, Audu Ogbeh, minister of agriculture, claimed that Thailand has accused President Muhammadu Buhari’s government of being responsible for the collapse of seven of its rice mills.

The minister quoted the Thailand’s ambassador to Nigeria as saying that the federal government has “dealt” with his country

Ogbeh said this was because Nigeria’s importation of rice has fallen by 95 percent.

Consequently, he said, unemployment rate has risen by four percent in Thailand.

“Just like two weeks ago, the ambassador of Thailand came to my office and said to me that we have really dealt with them,” he said.

“But I asked what did we do wrong and he said unemployment in Thailand was one of the lowest in the world, 1.2 percent, it has gone up to four percent because seven giant rice mills have shut down because Nigeria’s import has fallen by 95 percent on rice alone.”

TheCable fact-checked the claims made by the agriculture minister.

CLAIM ONE: COLLAPSE OF SEVEN RICE MILLS IN THAILAND

TheCable carried out an extensive research and the minister’s claim that seven rice mills collapsed in Thailand owing to Nigeria’s low patronage could not be verified.

Instead, Thailand’s export has continued to grow. According to The Nation Thailand, overall exports in January this year alone rose to 17.6 percent with an income of $20.101 billion.

Significantly, rice exports grew to 37.2 percent year-on-year — an indication that rice mills are not collapsing in Thailand. Instead, rice producers in the country may be needing more mills!

Also, the Rice Exporters Association of Thailand said rice exports reached a record high in 2017.

Charoen Laothammatas, president of the association, said they would be able to export around 9.5 million tons of rice in 2018.

The quantity of rice imported from Thailand into Nigeria is not significant enough to lead to the collapse of any mill in the country.

Information on the association’s website puts Nigeria’s import in 2017 at 23,192 metric tonnes. What Nigeria imported in 2015 and 2016 were 644,131 and 58, 260 metric tonnes respectively.

These figures are less compared to what Benin Republic has imported. The country imported 1,811,164; 1,427,098 and 805,765 metric tonnes of rice in 2017, 2016 and 2015 respectively.

It is even suspected that most Benin imports end up in the Nigerian market through the land border.

CLAIM TWO: UNEMPLOYMENT IN THAILAND HAS RISEN TO FOUR PERCENT

Checks by TheCable found this claim to be false.

Trading Economics puts Thailand’s unemployment rate at 1.3 percent as at January 2018.

“The unemployment rate in Thailand inched up to 1.3 percent in January of 2018 from 1.2 percent in the same month a year earlier,” information on the website read.

“The number of unemployed went up by 26 thousand from the prior year to 475 thousand while the number of employed declined by 142 thousand to 37.07 million.

“In December 2017, the jobless rate was 1 percent. Unemployment Rate in Thailand averaged 1.45 percent from 2001 until 2018, reaching an all time high of 5.73 percent in January of 2001 and a record low of 0.39 percent in November of 2012.”

CONCLUSION

The claim that seven mills collapsed in Thailand because of Nigeria’s low patronage cannot be verified. The claim that Thailand’s unemployment is at four percent is false.
Maybe the ambassador, as quoted by Ogbeh, was only speaking tongue-in-cheek to show how insignificant Nigerian market is to Thailand — but Ogbeh, eager to celebrate his achievement in office, took a private joke to the public without crosschecking.

Politics / Re: Reasons Why You Should Support Pres. Buhari For Not Assenting To PeaceCorps Bill by Lotechi(m): 4:38pm On Mar 01, 2018
khalidx:
The latest news in town now is president buhari denying his assent to the Peace Corps bill, it was greeted with mixed reaction from the general public.

but One thing I have noticed is that those who accepted that i was in the best interest of the country are more than the opposing side...

Let me sight this few reasons why they aren't in our interest..

1) Nigeria spend over 70% of its budget on recurrent expenditure leaving less than 30% for capital project, if we continue like this do you think if we continue like this we will have the Nigeria of our dreams?? Payment of salaries have always been a burden to the Fg adding another burden to it under the guise of employment is not right it will only be a bulwark to Nigeria's development. Why can't we utilize our meager resources to better things instead of creating another agency with no specific work.

2) Too many para military

Nigeria has more than 3 para military already all bearing arms, and doing there jobs effectively coupled with there problems. Approving the Peace Corps will just be another way for the corrupt Oga's at the top of siphoning our money.

3) overzealous and corruption we all know how our police, Army and other Armed Forces misuse power in the past and even presently, an NGO who is just starting it course is already hood winking gullible Nigerians, collecting money from volunteers.
What will be our faith. In the street you will see a Peace Corps volunteer asking you do you know me?? All those doesn't make sense.. instead of another para-millitary why can't we channel the resources to our police who is over stressed and better equip them with modern wares..
...this is one of the few things Buhari has done right....what is wrong with those national assembly people that made them pass the bill at their end?

Religion / Re: Benny Hinn: I Am So Wrong About Prosperity Gospel, I Don't Fly Private Jets by Lotechi(m): 3:16pm On Feb 24, 2018
HigherEd:

I would tell you that there is little wrong in the prosperity that Oyedepo preaches

1) I have never seen Oyedepo on TV asking for anybody to give to his ministry, schools etc.....

2) I have seen Oyedepo's car before(the one he drives himself). He has been using the same silver car for about three years or so. While I don't know the model, it is a very average car. Seen his house too and sitting room - very very average.

3) As per jet, Benny does not have 6,000 branched churches, Schools to administrate over, Oyedepo does. Ghana branches of Living Faith alone is 150 scattered everywhere. In one particular month he visited 27 countries hence his ministry requires it not as a luxury but a quick means of transportation. So hey it depends on how large and centralised a ministry is and living faith leadership appears to be very centralised.

4) Oyedepo always talks about the limitations of the prosperity gospel but ppl never listen to that they only pick what they want to pick. Even Kenneth Hagin once conformed that "there is a thin line between the permissible and the objectionable when it comes to issues of financial prosperity".

5) Oyedepo doesn't actually have 150 million USD in his account- he just believes it is an insult to equate the worth of a believer to a sum of 150 million.

6) I have visited all kinds of Churches and I tell you Offerings in WC is just once. Apart from special services.

7) If you like slander Oyedepo for preaching tithe or claim tithing is irrelevant. All I know is that Living Faith pays tithes of Billions to another large ministry in Nigeria every month. It takes a man of conviction to do that.

Now if there is anything that frustrates me about Bishop Oyedepo, it is that he refuses to care about his image or even lies put out there against him. Same for pa Adeboye. See how Joseph Prince quickly cleared himself from the yeye Forbes list. Now I am not bothered that Oyedepo and Adeboye are being insulted or mocked but my issue is how it can easily affect baby believers who are easily tilted. And if major pastors are left to be attacked consistently on social media, it is the root of Christianity that would shake
In years to come both the catholics, orthodox and Pentecostals would all suffer for all these unchecked attacks and backbiting within d church. Christianity in general might become more difficult to practice in a few years in this country because the devil has laid a ground work by trying to delegitimise every "who" is "who" in Christianedom and when those folks who are being attacked go on to be with the Lord, we the rest would be dealing with a society that is unreceptive

I pray for the next generations of Christians in Nigeria because they might suffer from the foolishness of we their predecessors.

Lastly as a Christian I won't criticize any other Christian for using a jet because I know fully well that if I had the money and require it then I would buy it. Whatever is unlawful for the pastor is unlawful for every other christian. If a pastor can't be rich then all Christians can't be rich either, if a pastor can't own a jet then no christian can own a jet.

For me, I maintain that a private jet is nothing more different than a private car.

NB: Please don't bother quoting me for slander, if you don't agree just talk your own comot for NL, I no get time for argument till 2am midnite.
.. So you have not heard of"Shiloh sacrifice"? You have not heard of "100,000 capacity building sacrifice"? What of the different types of kingdom investment giving?

will be 21 by Oct this year and a 400l student in a fed university. I am an introvert and find it hard keeping conversations with the opposite sex though recently I have been managing to crawl out my shell and be more free with the opposite sex though that has not been easy.

I have not known any girl since my teenage years and I find it somehow unfulfilling to graduate next year without knowing any woman throughout my 5 years in the university . bro I have been there many years ago so trust me when I say there is nothing to be afraid of. Man up and give her a kiss then the tension will fade away.

This is the problem. Anytime I am with a girl in my room(I live alone offcamp) and wants to make a move I feel very uncomfortable to the extent that my stomach starts making some disturbing noises. I can't explain the reason for the fear because I am sure that the girl wants what I want and I am also 100% sure she won't refuse. This has happened multiple times.

Recently I had this bae in my room. she came to collect movies from my laptop. she had no bra on just a short gown and her nips was pointing with her curved backside showing in the revealing tight gown.

she was clearly in the mood as she sat beside me and placed her head on top my shoulder with her warm nips pressing hard against me. I was totally nervous and my body became very hot, I just didn't know what to do or how to start the action as fear gripped me. I just disengaged from her and pretended to get something from my kitchen.

So naira landers, I don't know why I can't summon courage to subdue a woman despite the glaring green lights. I can't explain the sudden fear and nervousness that grips me whenever I am with a potential F-mate.

pls I want to know if the fear is common with first timers or is there something biologically wrong with me?

pls I really need this advice.

preciousuweh:

His job there is to pray and not to make it to come into fulfillment, that's GOD'S job to do.
The bible says "ask and it shall be given unto you". Matthew 7:7. It didn't say; ask and answer it yourself rather it says ask and it shall be given unto you, in other words ask and I will answer you in other words GOD is saying, your job is to ask, mine is to answer, so it is not his (oyedepo) part to fulfill what he asked rather it is GOD'S part and job.

The Bible also say; "whatsoever ye ask the father in my name, believe, you shall receive it". That passage says it all. A Christian part is to pray and believe while answering it is GOD'S part is to answer so far the one praying has faith as recorded in Mark 11:23, then his or her prayer will be answered.

So in essence, it is not oyedepo's part or job to answer or fulfill his prayer rather that's GOD'S job. His (oyedepo) part is to pray and believe which he has done, answering or fulfilling it is GOD'S, okay.

So he (oyedepo) has done his part which is to pray and have faith, now it GOD'S part or job that's remaining.
. You are quite right but you forgot to mention that "he" also taught you how to ask and in some cases what to ask......this type of prayercis vague at best.

Good day, Romancelanders. I met this girl last November and things were going on well between us. But lately I've been thrown into a state of confusion as to what I got myself into. She receives calls from strange numbers and a few times, I've noticed a certain patten in her conversation, like "Hello - Yes, I'm fine - Okay, let me see if I'll have chance". and this goes for every other strange call she receives. Also recently, I found out she's been sleeping out late. Few days back, I slept out just to see when she will come back, and to my greatest surprise, up till about 2.00am, she didn't return. We quarelled for about 2days and she was crying and begging me to forgive her, that she went to see her friend, a female, though I know its all lies. To make matters worse, she has a particular friend that is a runs girl! Sometimes when they're discussing, they will talk all manner of nonsense, she will be mimicking how her friend moans during sex, and they will laugh about it. I felt embarassed and walked out of both of them.

I really don't know what to do right now. She cried and apologized for sleeping out, I could tell that she was truly sorry. I love her, but I hate what she does, and anytime I think of breaking up, we still find a way to get back together. What should I do?
. Very funny people " I love her" I do not want to breakup with her" and in another breath "what do I do". When you are seeking for advice, you keep your mind open for the best logical one. Well, I think you should think properly and do what is best for your mental and physical wellbeing.
