Hello,  I normally dislike braid styles, because they weaken the strand and cause hair breakage.  But I REALLY like this style of braiding.

What is the name of this braid style?

How much?

Can I have my hair braided like this in America -- Chicago?

This is true. When I first started dating a Nigerian man, my family had many warnings for me.

I think it's important for everyone to live their own life. I respect culture, but I will never be a slave to it. I'm an individual first and I have my own mind and opinions. What I notice about Nigerian culture, is that the parents have a lot of influence over their adult children. I would never respect a man who allows his family to control him and make his decisions.

It's because you're trying to kiss in an upright position.  You need to tilt your head more to the left, and her head should be completely tilted to the right so that your lips interlock with her lips.  Your nose should be opposite of her nose.

I'm not very fond of online dating, I prefer meeting people face to face (not from the internet). It's just a quirk of mine. But I know that some people meet on the internet and develop long lasting relationships, it's just not for me.

So, after the "marriage introduction", he wants you to come live with him?  I do not recommend this.  If he plans to marry you, he should do so BEFORE you live with him.  This is called "trying to have the cow, without buying it".

This guy should propose and walk you down the isle, FIRST.  It's your life, you don't have to follow his backwards plan and put your future at risk.

I do not know, but I wouldn't generalize all African Americans. What is Nigeria's public school system like? How do parents prepare Nigerians for school and college? Maybe that has something to do with it.

Well Ibraahim, I know of an attorney that I can refer you too.  You will need one if you follow Cipriani's advice. Cipriani, having a Masters in Managerial Psych doesn't make you a Psychologist.

Come on now!  A PACKET OF CONDOMS?  What if he is just a kid/teen?  What if he isn't old enough for sexual intimacy or mentally prepared?  How can you give that sort of advice as a supposed Psychologist?  The only thing that most Psychologist are good at is prescribing medication.

Yes, exactly!  You had 8 years to make a move on this girl.  Now you're jealous because she has a new love interest.  You will have to tell her how you feel face to face.  Tell her that you didn't want to betray the friendship by wanting more.  Then give her time to decide.

While she is deciding, you should keep busy.  Do not call her, or go over to her house.  Do not date any other girls either, but find something to keep yourself busy.  You do not want to give the impression that you are desperate for her.

Hopefully, she will call or stop by to give you an answer.  If she decides to remain with her guy, you will have to wait your turn.  But seriously, you had 8 years to get this girl.  Just speak your mind, then back off and give it time.
