I remember having a roommate who I loved like a brother. We were quite close and do almost everything together:we'd eat from the same plate; drink from the same cup (please we aren't gay, okay) and even lie on the same bed. At that time, we were pretty cool with each other .

He willingly agreed, and assured me he'd drop the keys under the carpet once he's packed and ready to go . But little did I know that he had something up his sleeves.

Anyway, so I came back in the evening, and as I approached my house , I noticed the security lights outside were turned off, and this didn't seem right , because I always turn on the outside lights before leaving each morning .

I said to myself ," maybe Alex forgot and turned them off ; I'd better go inside and put them back on " . As I was about to touch the metallic door , something prompted me to look up , and behold, the live-wire that was responsible for supplying current into my house was attached to the doorknob. As I saw this , I was shocked and only one question came to my mind : " Alex , do you hate me this much that you are willing to end my life ?"

I was shaken , and the next day I reported the matter to my neighbors, but they told me to let it slide as God had done a miracle for me . This taught me a valuable lesson about people called " friends"
