Thank you all for your replies. I am not the directly the one gunning for this but my girl friend. She is hanging unto the physiotherapy but i feel that MPH will better position her because physiotherapists may have limited opportunities especially here in Nigeria as compared to those who study public health. Also, she doesn't want to go into academics.

Please i need sound advice on choosing between MSc. Physiotherapy and MPH. Your counsel with reasons will be highly appreciated. Thank you

Is it just about jobs and admissions? How have they maintained their polytechnic and the college of education? Has zamfara been able to fill its quota at the federal University Gusau? These are penitent questions we should be asking. Pupils are still learning under trees and their schools are full of unqualified teachers who cant teach in English due to the poor pay yet he is here talking of a university.

From what I can glean from your post, your dad's attitude is the main reason you want to leave. My take is that you patiently wait till you get married before leaving because leaving now will only serve to infuriate him more and those you leave behind (mom and siblings) will have increased trouble to deal with.
