resurgent2019:Please the Op asked for council on the right thing to do and I think that should be our focus. The girl might have her reasons for saying that even though her approach was wrong. For instance, 500k might not be enough for traditional marriage in some traditions. I am going to be doing my best to list out some vital items for the white wedding and anybody with vital info on the costing should please append the price so the OP can be properly guided as he requested. |
yankison:Don't port yet bro. Ask her to prepare a budget and then you guys can consider it together and make adjustments where necessary. She working base on assumptions. A clear budget can convince her. Note: if she can't or doesn't want to do it, you do it yourself and show her why u feel it will be sufficient. |
I think the mere talks wont solve any problem. Is there anybody in the house who has been able to do a wedding (I think the op means trad and white) with 1.5? The person should help summarize the expenditure to better help and many others who will need this info some other times. Let's not forget that traditional marriage rights differ from culture to culture so a break though and separation of traditional and white wedding cost will do a lot better. |
Elliot2:I agree but at least criticisms should correlate to current events. Recently a corps member was shot in Abuja and many people blamed it on NYSC too. Only few cared to look at it from the point that the driver of the vehicle she was in had breached security by refusing to stop when asked to. Besides if we put the pros and cons side by side, I don't think any rationally thinking person can genuinely call for scrapping of NYSC. |
Babyforever:Were they posted to the river for picnic? Why blame it on Nysc? |
I need somebody who is into production of exercise books. I have a job for you |

I need to convert bandwidth from the original MHz (e.g 10 MHz) to say bits, bytes or slots. |
Obainoneandonly: so its because of Nigeria that your village people have harvested your thinking faculties to leave you this senseless? Haters like you will always blame others or the system instead of looking at the real issues. |
Obainoneandonly:Your mumu is confirmed and has not part two. How will separation bring an end to SARS brutality? |
First let him tell us the church he is pastoring or has pastored. Then let him give account of his stewardship i.e. how well he handled the flock and present to us the fruit of his labours as a pastor. Then and only then will I take him serous. Not here ranting because gracelessness has frustrated him out of ministry. Selah! |
You see! After all the nonsense ranting trying to pin the blame on the hospital and making NYSC to contemplate 24/7 medical services at the camps (Another way to waste tax payers money). Nobody talked about the driver and other occupants of the car that refused to stop. As long as we fail to reason rationally as a people, we can never make progress. Basic questions that should have been asked after this incident are: 1. Why did the car refuse to stop? 2. Why did the police choose to shoot at the car? because am sure that is not the only car that must have refused to stop at that check point. For those who will still choose to think with their nostrils, remember that security is everybody's duty. Just a few days ago, we heard of how unknown gunmen opened fire at a police checkpoint. Should we therefore just blame the police for shooting at the vehicle without trying to find out from the officers what actually transpired? I am not supporting the action of the action of the police as the loss of the life of the victim is highly regrettable but we must also not rush to apportion blame to the police. A proper investigation should be carried out. |
lilfreezy:How will this benefit Nigeria? Nigeria has the largest population on the African continent and that is what many of these nations are struggling to cash in on. Signing that agreement will kill our local industries. Try getting proper education before making posts next time ![]() |
someborri that cannot buy one full yard to sew cloth! is that one ma a slay queen? Mchewwwwwwwwwww ![]() |
Now they are talking. If they had started this with their councilors, Chairmen, State house of assembly representatives and Governors, the Niger Delta region would have been developed by now. As Speaker house of Rep, Tambuwal facilitated the construction of part of the the Kontagora-Sokoto road while within the same period, David Mark was the senate president and No. 3 citizen of the country yet the road leading to his state that was awarded was not properly done. After we will call the not foolish and illiterate when they are wiser than our educated-illiterate leaders in the south in all ramifications. |
sandra50:I guess Nigerians can hardly say anything these days without mentioning pastor. What has pastor got to do with the children's behaviour? The story says the mom went will two pastors to their house. Where was it mentioned that a pastor told them that their mom is a witch ?? |
Iamdmentor1:What's insecure about probing when someone is acting strange? Pls check out the meaning of 'insecure' and stop abusing that word |
Nonsense air force in shithole country. Must we fight political and even military battles on the pages of newspaper? Are the insurgents stupid that they will read of this and still wait for the air force to come and bomb them? |
Good day. Please notify me if you have and NGO or any job or internship offer in cross river, Akwa Ibom or any South South state. Qualification: BSc. Human physiology, Gender: female. Thank you |
Dillusionist:And what makes you feel no girl will if this one has taken him? |
Bros two years is not two days o! People marry women older than them and live happily ever after. The notion that she will grow old and loss interest in sex isn't true. Haven't you seen older women looking for young men to service them? You should be glad cos no small boy will have to be fucking your wife when you are old. Rather the two of you will grow old together |
Please what is the range of cost for 100 customized umbrellas to be used as souvenirs? |
These days, girls are fond of assuming that every guy who doesn't trust them or who doubt their fidelity is insecure. Hell NO! That's not true. Somebody is said to be insecure if he always feels that he is of less worth and can be discarded. A man who has weighed your actions and feels you are not truthful is not and should never be termed insecure because he just doesn't want to waste his time. So lets stop tagging people insecure just because they dont trust us. Because trust is earned and not conferred. |
Kudos to those who planned the event. Its gestures like these that inspire service men and women to be patriotic, selfless in service and help them to realise that their labours are appreciated. |
below is the full text of the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu's speech at the inauguration ceremony of the US embassy in Jerusalem. Dear friends, What a glorious day. Remember this moment. This is history. President Trump, by recognizing history, you have made history. All of us are deeply moved. All of us are deeply grateful. For me, being here brings back wonderful memories from my childhood. [Hebrew] So, I know some of you didn’t follow every word I said in Hebrew, and I’ll tell you that I spent the first three years of my life in this neighborhood, in Ein Gedi Street in Talpiot, which is not very far away. There were a few charming houses here, many open fields. I remember ambling in these fields with my brother, Yoni. He was six; I was three. He held my hand very tight. We’d walk to this wondrous house of Professor Joseph Klausner, the renowned Jewish historian who was my father’s teacher. I used to peer through the slats of the wooden synagogue where he and the great Israeli writer, Shai Agnon, used to pray on Shabbat. And David, I would approach this place right here, but only so far, because my mother told me, ‘You can’t go any further.’ This was near the border. It was exposed to sniper fire. That was then. This is now, today. Today, the embassy of the most powerful nation on earth, our greatest ally, the United States of America, today its embassy opened here. So for me this spot brings back personal memories, but for our people, it evokes profound collective memories of the greatest moments we have known on this City on a Hill. In Jerusalem, Abraham passed the greatest test of faith and the right to be the father of our nation. In Jerusalem, King David established our capital three thousand years ago. In Jerusalem, King Solomon built our Temple, which stood for many centuries. In Jerusalem, Jewish exiles from Babylon rebuilt the Temple, which stood for many more centuries. In Jerusalem, the Maccabees rededicated that Temple and restored Jewish sovereignty in this land. And it was here in Jerusalem some two thousand years later that the soldiers of Israel spoke three immortal words, ‘Har ha’bayit be’yadeinu,’ ‘The Temple Mount is in our hands,’ words that lifted the spirit of the entire nation. We are in Jerusalem and we are here to stay. We are here in Jerusalem, protected by the brave soldiers of the army of Israel, led by our Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot, and our brave soldiers, our brave soldiers are protecting the borders of Israel as we speak today. We salute them all, and the members of our security forces, the Shin Bet and the Mossad, whose head is with us today. We salute you all, all of you. Over a century ago, the Balfour Declaration recognized the right of the Jewish people to a national home in this land. And exactly 70 years ago today, President Truman became the first world leader to recognize the newborn Jewish state. Last December, President Trump became the first world leader to recognize Jerusalem as our capital. And today, the United States of America is opening its embassy right here in Jerusalem. Thank you. Thank you, President Trump, for having the courage to keep your promises. Thank you, President Trump, and thank you all, for making the alliance between America and Israel stronger than ever. And thank you, a special thank you, to you, Ambassador Friedman. Thank you, David, for everything you do to bring our countries and our peoples closer together. Today, you have a special privilege. You are privileged to become the first American ambassador to serve your country in Jerusalem, and this is a distinct honor that will be yours forever. Nobody can be first again. My friends, this is a great day for Israel. It’s a great day for America. It’s a great day for our fantastic partnership. But I believe it’s also a great day for peace. I want to thank Jared, Jason and David for your tireless efforts to advance peace, and for your tireless efforts to advance the truth. The truth and peace are interconnected. A peace that is built on lies will crash on the rocks of Middle Eastern reality. You can only build peace on truth, and the truth is that Jerusalem has been and will always be the capital of the Jewish people, the capital of the Jewish state. Truth, peace and justice – as our Supreme Court Justice here. Hanan Melcer, can attest – truth, peace and justice, this is what we have and this is what we believe in. The prophet, Zechariah, declared over 2,500 years ago, ‘So said the Lord, ‘I will return to Zion and I will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. And Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth.’ May the opening of this embassy in this city spread the truth far and wide, and may the truth advance a lasting peace between Israel and all our neighbors. G-d bless the United States of America and G-d bless Jerusalem, the eternal, undivided capital of Israel. Baruch atah A-donai Elokeinu melekh ha’olam shehecheyanu vekiymanu vehigi’anu lazman hazeh [Blessed are You, Lord our G-d, King of the Universe, who has granted us life, sustained us and enabled us to reach this occasion.]” |
