Hahahahahah. Pls mention them o! You think I didn't research? byvan03: I attended boarding schools from 1-6 myself, I just don't like the idea of any one raising kids for me. I know good schools around your base that operate both boarding and day system . I can't do boarding no matter how good, I need to be there in those years that count. |

Mmmm. You speak so cos you have goo day schools aroundd you. If you live in a place witth no sound school then you ontt have an option. I will choose boarding anyday. The most important tthing is to be careful while selecting the schools. byvan03: I rather enrol them into taekwando/karate classes, I just want to do the guiding every step of the way till they can reason for themselves. Ave you tried dry love? Its good and I've not had issues with it. Onegai: Based on what I read here on this thread, I decided to try Molfix. Well, it didn't absorb any more than Huggies (I get leaks with both when we use overnight). But i feel it's flimsier (one of the tabs pulled off when Le hubbs was changing Baby E) and I'm not crazy about it (I feel there are better diapers out there). |

VocalWalls: Please let's not argue further.
At the bolded, it's not same in my church. So I hope you can deduct from this that various factors should be considered before throwing blames.
About having caustic soda lurking around, I agree with you, as I've earlier stated in a previous comment.
The thing is, no one wanted to consider the factors that led to the incident, it's wrong to jump into conclusion just like that. Everyone just went on to blame the school, ever without further facts.
What's the difference? I blamed them after I had seen other facts, that's the difference between our standing points.
Whatever you want to say nex... I agree. ROTFL @Whatever you want to say nex... I agree. I usually don't go back and forth on NL but I'm totally bored today! May God give us wisdom to train our children right. Have a peaceful night rest. |
Health › Re: ‘boy, 3, Who Drank Acid, Abandoned In LUTH’ by lovinam: 6:29pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
Oga, quick question. Do you have children? If you do then I'm shocked. If a child walks away from the church building to the gen house, its clearly their fault. Children are handed over to sunday school teachers before their parents go to adult service. Except its not the case in your church. You said we didn't hin deep before accusing the school. Hmmmmmmm. I still maintain it is wrong for a school to havve acid/ caustic soda left carelessly. They should have opted for hommemade scouring powder using egg shells etc. They were negligent and should handle the medical bills. VocalWalls: I'm not supposed to apologize for not seeing things your way... More still, it's everyone else that condems the school without further investigation that didn't care to put on more thoughts before writing...
I've had to dig further, and in this case, it's the fault of the school... 100%. However, I didn't come to this conclusion by just reading the opening post on this thread, it had almost no information on the incident itself.
If a kid walked away from a church building to the generator room, and got electrocuted, who would you blame? The church?
Anyways... There's no point, I already established that it's the school's fault, but that was after getting further details.
A whole lot of factors can affect a final judgement for a similar case, especially of it was a PTA meeting which held on a weekend, where toddlers were not supposed to be there, or in the custody of their parents. It's not always as easy as you may think.
But for this incident, I have rested my case on it... The school is guilty. |
Health › Re: ‘boy, 3, Who Drank Acid, Abandoned In LUTH’ by lovinam: 3:33pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
Hello, pls can you clarify if the meeting was held on a saturday? Does the school have a secondary school in the compound? That's the only way we can explain the presence of acid in the compound. yhemsy62: I'm telling you. The incident happen in my area, in fact the school should be closed down |
Health › Re: ‘boy, 3, Who Drank Acid, Abandoned In LUTH’ by lovinam: 3:27pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
Seems you own a school or you know someone that own a school. All PTA meetings are not held on saturdays. So get your facts right. Besides you are missing the point. What is ACID doing in a primary school?? VocalWalls: And you think I don't know that? All PTA meetings are held on Saturdays... And that's why everyone is supposed to be well focused at the meeting. The teachers as well as the parents air their views and worries. No teacher is left out to take care of any toddler because it's not a school day. So stop asking if I'm kidding you and take a chill, go figure if you went for a PTA meeting on Saturday, if you would leave your toddler to keep running all around or better have him stay home. Once again, don't be so quick to ruin someone's payzone. The school did support, although little, but it was never their fault. Everyone attended the meeting, to talk as equals. No nannies on PTA days. |

Hey! I'm quoting this in case some peoplee missed it. nazablossom: 2ww means 2 weeks wait, that's 2weeks after ovulation before your next menstrual flow. God will answer you soon with a BFP. please mama's that don't Take their routine drugs ,it's very important that you do to avoid the story that touches the heart. my God son is not walking now because the mother neglected taking folic acid. I was wondering what may have led to the boy's condition .they hv spent so much to correct the leg still no success. it was the last time I visited the boy that the mother opened up that she didn't Take folic acid. she was now advising me that I shouldn't joke with mine, and that I shouldn't listen to people who says they don't Take theirs, but they will go at the back and Take it that's exactly What happened to her. please mothers let us consider our baby's health first. may God bless us all and grant us safe delivery |

You are kidding me right?? All teachers must not be present during the meeting. OMG! Imagine a school with 500 pupils and they are present during the meeting! What a meeting!! If you want all teachers to be present then you schedule the meeting on a saturday. If on a school day please let your schoold heads represent the teachers. ( That's the way my childrens school organise theirs and everyone is happy). VocalWalls: No one is supposed to look after kids but their parents at a PTA meeting.
The meeting is for parents and teachers. Kids are supposed to stay home.
Imagine if it had happened at a party, would you hold the celebrant responsible? Or the mother who didn't have her eyes fixed on her kid? |

What's acid doing in a primary school? I know they teach acid and co inn basic five but due to the children are yoiung etc. They actually don't show it to them. So I'm very shocked!! Also if it was a PTA meeting with all the teachers in attendance. Who was looking after them children?? Thank God the boy is still alive. |

I'm sure it must have happened during pick up time. I'm extra vigilant when I go to pick my children from school. Some just leave the class and join the ones going home meanwhile the saff on duty might not really notice because she is attending to parents. Iff this happend outside school runs time then I will consider withdrawing the child. |

Hey! I just want to quote it in case some people missed it. He who hath ears should hear!! Jennifer89: kia nawa for some mothers o! ah! how on earth will you not take your routine drugs because of nausea? you want a pat on the back for doing that or what? such mamas do not only need slap but also five strokes kia!
my neighbour had this same carefree attitude, she was negligent towards herself and her baby. she was given folic acid and other drugs. she gave birth and the baby had spina bifida and other complications. the doctor asked if she took routine drugs she said no, coz she couldn't stand the smell and she was feeling nausea. the parents went through a lot they had to refer them to a specialist hospital in Enugu. after the whole thing four months latter they lost the baby. this is just the preamble of the what happened.
So person wey get ear make him hear. nobody dey pray for bad thing to happen but make we seff they take matter serious.
Safe delivery to all sweet mother, #mother alive, baby alive, husband alive and plenty money IJN# |
