This is barbaric.

What sort of anger and madness to kill someone and end your own peace in life. Now you go to jail and live the rest of your life over 5 minutes anger

Some few things are capable of destroying man

Few minutes sexual pleasure

Few minutes anger mismanagement leading to poor decisions
Its obvious that the suspect had mental health challenges, since he was accused of stabbing others in the past. I wonder if this alleged murder would have been avoided if the suspect was properly rehabilitated earlier on.
PoliticsRe: Nigerians To Enjoy Seamless Passport Processing Soon - Tunji-ojo by lozanni(m): 7:24pm On Nov 16, 2023
The Minister is really working hard to ensure a seamless and corrupt free process in the application and collection of the Nigerian Passport.
A friend based in Atlanta USA said he submitted his passport application at the Nigerian Consulate there and was told that his renewed Passport will be sent to him by Post; he got the Passport in his mailbox late last week without having to stress himself going back to the Consulate.
The above seamless process can be replicated here in Nigeria too, but the Minister might have to co-opt private Courier firms into the process to ensure speedy and efficient delivery of Passports to Nigerians through the post.
InvestmentRe: Olusola Lawanson Adeeko Wanted For Absconding With Customers' $20M by lozanni(m): 11:21am On Nov 15, 2023
The audacity she displayed in pulling such heist is unbelievable.

However, looking at the other side of the coin, could she also have been duped by those who promised to provide the dollar cover? If this is the case running away is not the right option.

This shows that all Nigerians are involved in the further wrecking of the value of the Naira when they speculate with it against the dollar. Imagine raising N10 Billion for this ! (As at June 2022).

I hope this case is eventually solved.

lastma can just get the plate number request the person show up at their office to clear their name or get fined for the traffic offence automatically instead of causing unnecessary traffic accidents.

They are not the police to do a stop and search. Get off the roads.
Simple !
Installation of security cameras will help capture the vehicle plate number and other necessary details.
The above will save innocent lives without also endangering the lives of lastma personnel as they attempt to stop moving vehicles.

Roosters are my alarm clock in the mornings,I use their crowing to my advantage cheesy

Recently one cockerel took it to the extreme standing on the fence close to my window crowing non stop and I really needed to sleep.

I had to come out look for pestle, aimed at it,I like to think I missed him by a flicker since then
the eediot stopped coming.

Aside that experience...I think roosters are cool they serve the purpose of both a wall clock/alarm.
grin grin grin I wont blame you if you believe that someone sent the rooster to disturb your sleep as it stopped coming after your pestle narrowly missed hitting him.

Why do most sitting Governors often have challenges with their predecessors, whom are most often their mentors.

The solution is: Allow the sitting Governor run his own administration without undue interference from his predecessor.
TravelRe: How I Was Able To Get My Passport In Ikoyi Despite The Mammoth Crowd by lozanni(m): 8:10pm On Oct 24, 2023
sukkot:
Let me tell you the Ikoyi format because when I went there there had been people coming for many days and hadn't collected it because the queue is just too much.

So when I GOT there I went to the immigration officer woman who helped me with my application, she gave me a very good advice, she First asked me, are you travelling ? I said no, she said, JUST FORGET ABOUT COLLECTING IT THIS WEEK THAT THE QUEUE IS TOO MUCH AND THAT I SHOULD COME IN LIKE 2 WEEKS TIME WHEN THE RUSH TO COLLECT HAS SUBSIDED. I mulled the idea over and thought ? Hmmm ok let me go and see what she is talking about.

So I went to the collections. The crowd there was like that of the World Cup finals in a stadium. The crowd stagger me. So I decided this woman gave me good advice, let me go home.

I will come back in November when the rush has subsided. However I wanted to be sure that my passport has been issued before I left the premises so they directed me to this office where they asked for my enrolment number.

I gave it to them. After 2 minutes the lady told me your passport has been issued and go to the collections to collect it. You see ehn, after she told me that my passport had been issued the kind of STRONGHEAD that overtook me ?

I then decided I may as well try to see if I can collect it. I entered into that sea of people at the collections, it was hell, people just pushing you about, stepping on your shoe, everybody sweating and frustrated. I contested with the crowd for like one hour, then I started hearing stories of people lamenting that they have been coming everyday for days and have been unable to get it because of the huge crowd.

My liver just fail me. I then decided it's in my best interest to come back in November after all I am not collecting the passport because I wanted to travel. But my STRONGHEAD kicked in again and I dipped hand inside my pocket.

There was 10,000 sitting there just languishing. So I decided its time to do business. So I started greeting every officer I saw and told them I want to do business.

They thought maybe I was undercover journalist and just laughed and walked by but this particular guy had a jovial face. I kept over-greeting him anytime he walked by and finally he pulled up and said what do you want ?

I said chairman I want to collect my passport but that crowd is staggering and scary. I said I am willing to pay 10k. The man looked at me intensely and said listen I don't do that .

Then he walked away. 10 minutes later he walked back and said what's your name and enrolment number , he took it and disappeared. He reappeared 10 minutes later with my passport in his hands and directed me to where I was to do the final process. That's how I got the passport in the midst of a football crowd who had been coming for days.

I was willing to part with the last 10,000 in my pocket but I ended up not parting with a kobo and getting the passport.

MAY THE LORD BLESS THAT OFFICER ABUNDANTLY AMEN. GOOD MAN.
Is the crowd still so much at the Ikoyi Passport office ? I need to collect mine this week

It's strange that like NITEL, they all went under also.

I am surprised that the NW zone has the highest number of out of school children, I thought that dubious distinction would have been given to the NE because of years of banditry attacks and large scale displacement of the people of that zone.

The north really has to pull up their bootstraps and try much more to get their children back to school as that remains their main hope of stopping banditry and impoverishment of its people.

You can't use (SWOT) to analyze football.

If you relax to read the game in the field of play your net go tear MANY times before u say jack
You can do this. Most Coaches take notes and draw match patterns on paper during matches, which is like a SWOT Analysis, though they will not call it that.
SWOT means: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and threats.
During the match, you can observe the strength of your opponents and try to minimize and neutralise these strengths( Watch the way they caged Laura James); Weaknesses ( the team might not recover fast during attacks and fast counter attacks can be used effectively against them); Opportunities ( a team that tires out easily as the game progresses can be punished through the introduction of a striker with fast running ability late into the game to beat them with speed to score goals); Threats ( A team that is well known for scoring through set pieces should not be allowed to take advantage of this ability near your 18 yards box) etc

It's not wise to stick to a strategy that does not work, and just hope you will win through such ineffective strategy; this is why in the business world you have what is called SWOT Analysis, to help you understand competitors strengths and weaknesses to enable you exploit them to your own advantage in making more profits and to overcome any uncertainty the business environment may present

I think we should watch the game plan the England team came out with in this second half, for about five minutes, then find a strategy to neutralise it and take advantage of the weaknesses we spotted in their strategy to score our goal(s).

I hope our coaches will exploit any of the weaknesses they found in the England team in the first half, so as to use it to our own advantage in the second half.

One of the biggest problems Igbos have is that they hate the truth and you are not an exception. You mention a few Yoruba people attacking Tinubu. Can you compare that to the mob attack he is getting from the South East on a daily bases

The only exception you have is that you are yet to directly insult me even though some of your statements are snide.

Also, learn to criticize objectively. Why remove subsidy from A and put it in B. Is that not robbing Peter to pay Paul? If that is not hypocrisy, I don't know what is?

The only reason some Igbos (including you) are not out rightly lashing at Tinubu over the subsidy issue is because Obi promised to remove it immediately.
There you go again with your generalisation again. You started your reply with ' one of the problems of you Igbos...'
I can tell you have never travelled to the east before so how can you tell that Igbos are so concerned with Tinubu?
The Igbos have no time for hatred of Tinubu or any other person, infact they hardly discuss him the way you think. The last time I attended a late Aunty 's Service of Songs program, the main song that was being played was 'Asiwaju' by the Musician, Ruger and everyone was nodding their heads to the song, even though they were mostly Igbos.
Travel to the east and you will see the love Igbos will show you and you will get first hand information about how things really are and not what some tribal bigots are telling you.

You claim Igbos have moved on but how do you explain their constant attacks on Tinubu and FGN.

Igbos don't know how to move on, if not how do you explain their 8 years constant attack on Buhari to the point that they were claiming that Buhari was dead and that a clone and/or Jubrin from Sudan was the one ruling Nigeria

It's easy to come to nairaland and make statements that you know are not true. You say Igbos have moved but you that is very far from the truth because if you go on twitter, you will see loads of hate statements being made continually by Igbos at Tinubu and FGN
Generalisation is the problem you have.
That some people attacked Buhari and are attacking Tinubu means that they are Igbos?
I have Yoruba friends and I know what many of them were saying about Buhari, especially concerning appointments in certain places like NPA etc, but it did not mean that generality of the Yorubas hated PMB because that will be outright generalisation.
Also, my Yoruba friends were actually attacking PMB's clannishness in making certain appointments and not because they hated PMB as a person.
For Tinubu, many Nigerians, including Igbos, are attacking his removal of fuel subsidies without putting in place remedies like introduction of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for trucks, vehicles and tricycles to cushion the effect of the removal of subsidies on the populace and not necessarily because they hate Tinubu.
However, most Nigerians, are in the habit of insulting their leaders for their personal problems, which is not good.
Goodluck Jonathan suffered abuse, PMB suffered it too and maybe that is why Tinubu is passing through the same thing also.
I have cautioned many people, including Igbos, not to insult Tinubu or any other leader. They can criticize their polices or inactions as it will definitely affect them, positively or negatively, but it should not be reduced to personal attacks or insults.

You can not know my people better than myself.
If I have a different political opinion from you, it does not mean that I hate you; you guys should learn to differentiate political choices from personal and emotional feelings.
For example, Orji Uzor Kalu(OUK) is a tight friend of Peter Obi (PO), but politically they are different; OUK supported Tinubu against PO at the last Presidential election, but yet they are still friends.
Politics is not about hate or personal emotions, but that of group and personal interests. If you don't want a Political Party that will increase taxes, definitely, you will vote for one that will maintain the current level of taxes or even reduce it.

Ever since Obi lost the elections, IIGB0S have been very BITTERED and have vowed to rubbish Tinubu's government
Igbos know how to play politics without bitterness and have since moved on after the elections as they are true republicans in their traditional political settings.
People have become impoverished by the sudden fuel subsidy removal, though it's not a bad thing entirely, without the provision of remedies to overcome the steep rise in energy costs among other issues.
Let us focus on facts, instead of stoking primordial divisions that will do nobody any good. The Government has spoken about Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), let us encourage them to do a speedy and widespread deployment of resources to convert Trucks, cars and public transportation vehicles to CNG driven ones ( I learnt CNG is about N100 per liter).
The above measure will reduce the cost of public transportation, reduce the high cost of foodstuffs as they are transported by trucks.
It will also improve productivity and the economy as most companies will return to full production and work schedules.
