8 Questions Peter Obi Must Answer

The Vice Presidential debate has further strengthened what we know about PDP's Vice Presidential candidate, Peter Obi. His half-truths and misleading exaggerations have once again been brought to the fore.

There are many things that are unclear, for which Nigerians demand answers:

1. Where did Obi serve under NYSC and in what year?

2. Obi's resume is silent on his early employment history. Where did he work before he became the chairman of Next International?

3. Who funded the acquisition of Obi's house in London just 3 years after graduating from school...Next International or Obi?

4. How much did Obi earn between 1984- 1987 to afford a posh property in London?

5. Is there any truth to the allegation that Obi's business deals in Brazil in the late 1980s involved illicit drugs?

6. How much taxes did Obi & Next International pay between 1984 and 1987 or was Obi & his company exempted from Tax?

7. Why did Obi hide his ownership of flats in Ikoyi & London? Is he hiding the source of funds?

8. How many shares did Obi assign to his company, Next International when he invested Anambra's money in Intafact Beverages

Politics / Re: What President Buhari Told 36 State Governors In Closed Door Meeting Today by Lugard89: 4:57pm On Dec 14, 2018
PoliticsNigeria:
@POLITICSNGR

President Buhari has challenged state governors to redouble efforts in addressing infrastructure deficiencies in their respective states to revamp the nation’s economy.

PoliticsNGR gathered the meeting was hinged on the nation's failing economy. The Chairman of the Governors’ Forum, Gov. Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara, said the president stated this at a closed door with the 36 State Governors of the federation in Abuja.

He said: “Mr President, as usual, responded by telling us that the economy is in a bad shape and we have to come together and think and rethink on way forward.

“So, Mr President talked to us in the manner that we have a task ahead of us. So, we should tighten our belts and see how we can put Nigerian economy in the right direction and how we can address the nation’s infrastructural decay.

“So, all of us as leaders especially those that are coming to the National Assembly and those coming back as governors and the president who will be re-elected by God grace we should not think that things are going to be easy.

”They are going to be harder than before, this was the message of Mr President,’’ he said.

On the meeting of the National Economic Council, the governor disclosed that the Council deliberated extensively on new ways state governments could generate additional revenues for speedy economic growth and development.

However, Yari declined to confirm on whether the meeting discussed the issue of the proposed N30,000 minimum wage.

so if a governor encountered an unfortunate incident on his way coming or going to Abuja to answer d president call, it will be because dey want to discuss infrastructure and economy.... Ọdi kwa egwu... Person like Obiano go don write 2, 000, 000 as expenses wey Em talk go Abuja.

Update: Madonna uni just banned tablets. This comes after the recent posts about the university on social media. Before this Madonna already banned smart phones.

Instead of trying to improve the standard of living in the university, they are trying to cover up all their atrocities by preventing students from posting about them.
To imagine that the so called university is owned by a Rev. Father.

Religion / Re: The Recipe For Effective Prayer - Talk Less And Believe More! By Reno Omokri by Lugard89: 9:34am On Dec 09, 2018
Hakeem12:
First of all, here's a simpler question: are prayers answered literally, in the same way a nairaland question is answered literally? I.e., are prayers answered clearly and explicitly, in English or another human language, without any doubt as to what the answer is, in a timely manner?

I think 95 percent of people would agree that the answer to this simpler question is no. Growing up in a christian religion I was told, "God answers prayers in his own time and in his own way." Religious people who believe prayers are answered or who have experienced answers to prayer experience them in the form of feelings and comforting thoughts. Answers to prayer are generally in the spiritual realm rather than the temporal realm--whatever that means.

So, given this, are prayers "answered"? Not in any scientific or predictable way. But do humans experience spiritual "answers" to prayer? Absolutely. The problem is just that these "answers" to prayer are completely unrelated to physical reality as far as I know, so they don't exist as anything more than a human experience.

Which isn't to say that human experiences aren't valuable, as long as you classify them as such.

Putting your belief in modern science, will do you more good than putting it in a sky daddy whose supposed delegates scam you of your hard earned money and leave you to wallow in abject poverty. The great unmentionable evil at the center of our culture is monotheism. From a barbaric Bronze Age text known as the Old Testament, three anti-human religions have evolved - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. These are sky-god religions. They are, literally, patriarchal - God is the Omnipotent Father - hence the loathing of women for 2,000 years in those countries afflicted by the sky-god and his earthly male delegates.

Religion / Re: Father Mbaka Escapes Assassination, Shot At By Gunmen - Adoration Ministry by Lugard89: 8:16am On Dec 09, 2018
linx123:
The Adoration Ministry Enugu, headed by Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, on Saturday alleged that there is an assassination attempt against its director, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka.

This is coming amidst controversies generated by Mbaka’s message last Sunday during the church harvest thanksgiving service and bazaar which has attracted wide criticisms, including from the Catholic Bishops of Nigeria.

In a statement signed by Chief Aka Emmanuel, President, National Adoration Family, Chief Okolo Godwin, President, Adoration Fathers’ Associations World Wide, Mrs Ann Aligwe,-President, Adoration Mothers’ Association World Wide, Chukwu Agoziem, President, Adoration Youths’ Association World Wide and Barr Ike Maximus Ugwuoke- Media Chief, they said Fr. Mbaka was shot in Enugu, the State capital.

The statement made available to DAILY POST read:

“It is with rude shock and utter surprise that we received the report of the attempted assassination plot of the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria last made Thursday evening by some unknown gunmen who fired gun shots at him on his way in Enugu.

“This incident has added to several other assassination plots targeted at Fr Mbaka since after the first plot that was carried out on him on his way from the Bishop’s house where he had gone to answer an impromptu call by his Bishop during the regime of Governor Chimaroke Nnamani of Enugu State .

“This assassination plot against Fr Mbaka is coming barely few days after the 2018 Harvest and Bazaar of the Ministry whereat Fr Mbaka had come under massive media attack for asking Peter Obi, the PDP Vice Presidential Candidate for the 2019 General election who attended the Bazaar programme, to make public his support or donation for the Church Project of the Ministry.

“Many Supporters of Peter Obi and even clergies have misconstrued this as embarrassing to Peter Obi and to the Catholic Church and this has consequently given rise to the statement issued by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) that same Thursday on the issue. The issue had lingered.
