arbourboateng:Thanks. |
What's the key for ch@mpion TV? |
yawwilson:Kindly share picture. |
Christgalaxy:OK. Waiting for next step. |
jhorse:This is on what sat? |
Christgalaxy:Great idea. Was searching for ideas on thid. Share your designs bro. |
Ismy5000:Which Amos is this? Wasn't Amos 5 lost? |
On which sat and channel can I watch Chan 2018 games. |
Euroadams:Any working lnb will give you signal if pointed at the correct sat I.e. c lnb to c sat or Ku lnb to Ku sat. Of course under dish settings of your stb you put Ku settings for Ku lnb and c band settings for cband lnb. For a combined c+Ku lnb you can use a diseqc switch and connect the c to one port and the Ku to another port. You then have to tell the stb in dish settings which satellite is Ku and which one is cband so that it switches to the correct lnb when you tell it which sat you want. Positioners (motor controllers) use diseqc commands just like diseqc switches. Here is the catch, some controllers don't allow the commands to pass through to reach the diseqc switch which can be s problem. Remove the switch and test directly first with Ku then with cband if you don't get a signal then four possible issues: I. You are not on the arc. Use a normal lnb to check that you are able to lock on sats all along the arc. 2. The skew is wrong. C+ ku lnbs have a small arrow at the top for skew alignment. Use that to set the correct skew. 3. The lnb is not aligned to the middle of the dish. These lnbs are heavier than normal and can shift when dish is moving. Check that it is pointing straight and the screws are tight. 4. Maybe the lnb is faulty. Good luck. |
omaolowo:Its very annoying indeed for TSTV to be allowing us genuine FTA supporters to watch their wonderful channels for free. I am endorsing you Amaolowo as our Oga to mobilise all ASAS members to demand that TSTV encrypt their channels quickly because we are anxious and in a hurry to pay. |
NuraTeejay:This solution seems to work. I removed a wireless WiFi adapter. Strange though because the adapter doesn't work because the stb doesn't recognize it. Maybe it was trying to configure it in the back ground and was failing. Thanks bro. |
arbourboateng:Apologies, I am in southern Africa. Didn't know your beam is different. How ever OVHD is meant only for Republic of South Africa, though the rest of southern Africa can get it. |
arbourboateng:Intelsat 20 at 68.5e |
bakbayus:I checked 4 f connectors; two on the cable from the stb to the positioned (motor controller) and two on the cable from the positioner to the lnb. All seem OK. I upgraded software from 2.58 to 2.53. The reboot has reduced but is still there. |
Anyone know a solution to 4955 constant rebooting with 4.48 firmware? |
harizonal123:True. Point the dish where there is no sat then set the meter pointer to 5 as your no sat point. Then start sat hunting. When a sat is found the meter will move towards 10. |
yawwilson:Thanks, method worked well. I was able to delete junk satellites and add new ones and rearrange by degree. |
yawwilson:Thanks bro. I will do that solution and give feedback. I like having a clean channel list. |
How do you extract channel list from 4955, edit it to remove useless SATs and put it back? I couldn't get the stb to save it on flash. I edited one from 4930 using ndf efitor and tried to upload but the stb got stuck in the process and had to reboot. |
I am trying to remove irrelevant SATs from my 4955 channel list using ndf editor but the stb refuses to accept the edited file. Any one ever done this successfully with 4955? |
To those who have no patience with TSTV, Here is a picture of the first Mercedes Benz car being tested by Mrs Bertha Benz. Had she been Nigerian you guys would have boiled her alive: https:///images/FiCvg9 |
kibukila:l have not tried this but it should work: if you are south of equator and you have a motorised set up you will notice this: when dish is moving East decoder is saying moving West and vice versa. This is because the software developers have a. Middle east perspective. With hex editor on a pc you can open the decoder software and search for the word East and change it to west and find the word West and change it to east and save. Load software in decoder and and now East will be East and west will be West. If you find the word STRONG you can even change it to Lunsat and Lunsat will splash on your screen when your decoder starts. Try and report back. |
Fellow ASAS patients, anyone with name and address or street for a shop with satellite equipment in DUBAI? I will be stopping there for a day and I hope to grab some stuff for myself. I mean decoders, digital sat finders, good LNBs, cornical scalar rings etc. I want to avoid searching all over town. Thanks. |
seyizma: Where to input the values you gave me,i got invalid frequency when i put them in installation>>blind scan and also at lnb frequencySometimes Invalid frequency error occurs if you try to enter KU TP into a sat you have defined as Cband and Cband TP into a sat defined as KU. check under dish settings that values are as folows: Cband: LNB type = single, LNB frequency= 5150. KU band:LNB type= universal, LNB frequency=9750, LNB frequency H = 10600. |
freddy95: whats the position of dish for multi tv against dstv position is it upwards o downwards av tryed for the past 2 hours cant get it ryt can somebody help me location southern africawhats the position of dish for multi tv against dstv position is it upwards o downwards av tryed for the past 2 hours cant get it ryt can somebody help me location southern africaI hope by DSTV position you mean 36E not 68.5E. Because you will never find Astra 2F by searching around 68.5E. If you are in Southern Africa, MultiTv on astra 2F (28.2E) is to the LEFT of Eutelsat 36 (36E). From 36E you raise the dish abit as you turn it left, about 10cm up 10 cm left and search around there. From where I am in Zambia Astra 2F is exactly north on my compass, so I can find it by pointing the dish north then I search by just raising and lowering the dish and I hit green. |
Sensicut: on which sat ku or c bandShould be NSS 7 @ 22W |
Ilish: Gkw |
Gosh, looks like TING channels on 17E are scrambled now. |
Unless I am mistaken, what I remember is that the gurus had advised that posting keys on this forum should be avoided because it can cause serious problems for the forum owner. The satellite sub-forum can even be closed and we lose all our information. Sharing of keys can be done by email, PM or by posting a link to the site where such key is found. Others can advise. |
Those bbc channels are on c band Intelsat 10-02 at 1.0°W Eastern Hemisphere beam which covers the whole africa, europe and asia up to india. The satellite is co-located with Thor which is at 0.8°W but doesnt beam to Africa. |
2way splitters can work with two receivers! I have used it and it works even on two different frequencies !use a satellite splitter not uhf/vhf /cable splitters![/unquote] Interesting. Kindly post a drawing of how this was accomplished. This is a humble request for learning purposes. |
Hello house, this has been asked several times but I need more clarification. What is the rationale of using a splitter instead of a dual Lnb in sharing one dish with 2 receiversSplitter needs only one decoder, Dual LNB needs two decoders. |
