TonyeBarcanista: Wetin you de talk? Which one be strong and great woman?
If Aisha wants to be a strong woman or great woman she should pick up nomination form for Presidency or Adamawa state Governor in 2019 and prove her worth. You can't be a "great" woman through manipulation of your husband. It doesn't work anywhere.
Buhari ran for office THREE times, he won the Fourth along with Osinbajo as running mate, NOT AISHA. Aisha has no mandate, and NO single legitimacy to control government. She should emulate Hilary by running for office, that's how it is.
BTW My own definition of Great and Strong woman is the one that the Bible defined in Prov 31:10-31, like Mrs Osinbajo, Michelle Obama, Hilary Clinton, My mother and other noble women irrespective of status. If after reading her interview all what you get is that she's trying to control his government then you are been mischievous. |

TonyeBarcanista: Who is not ambitious in life? Hilary love Bill, she is an ideal wife.
Aisha is POWER HUNGRY, she's pained and frustrated that her husband, who knows her as power hungry has refused to be manipulated by her. she is pained that Daura led crew defeated her in Aso Rock Power play. As a man, I will never tolerate or endure a woman like Aisha. If my wife can't lash me privately when I err then she is unfit to call herself my wife. Going public to disgrace me and my family only legitimise my decision to keep her at length. A man who's afraid of strong woman like Aisha is definitely not a strong man. A man who's afraid of his wife been greater or powerful than him definitely has an issue. A man who can't turn a political brouhaha into a political gold pot rather he preferred to lash out on all women is not worth my respect. A man who don't listen to his wife should never get married. |

TonyeBarcanista: No mother will come to the open to lash her son, arming his political adversaries against her son. I mean no sane mother, Aisha has proven herself to be unfit to be considered a mother to Buhari.
No sane wife comes to the open to criticise hubby, Hilary stood by Clinton even when he had perjury and adultery case that threatened his Presidency in 1998. Aisha is unfit to be considered a wife.
As a citizen, she has right to opinion BUT NOT RIGHT to tell the President wat to do or WHO to appoint. That is the EXCLUSIVE prerogative of the President and his Vice.
Buhari should be very careful with the power hustler called Aisha that has brought shame to his family and washing his dirty linen outside.
Lest I forget, he should stop discussing his family publicly.
On Fashola, if it is by who hustled for Tinubu, Fash won't even be mentioned. Hillary stood by him because she is ambitious and not not because she believed so much in the sanctity of marriage. She has much to gain by staying with him than leaving him and due to that she's one step closer to the office of the President. Aisha's speaking up now will have its advantages when the electioneering period comes around that's if the President is wise. |
Politics › Re: Aisha Speaks Again - Stop Buhari’s cabal Now by luvmijeje(f): 12:15pm On Oct 16, 2016 |
TonyeBarcanista: And where in the world of politics have you seen spouses openly lashing their partners?
Same Tinubu has been accused of imposition and betrayer by some of his erstwhile political allies and adversaries. Did you see Remi blast him?
Who was Fashola prior to 2007 and what was his contribution to NADECO, AD and AC? Can you compare him with Sen Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Mr Jimi Agbaje, Ganiyu Olarenwaju Solomon or even Buknor Akerele? But wasn't Fashola preferred in 2007 that made these people aggrieved? Did Remi Lash at him?
Aisha is a BAD WIFE that I will NEVER pray for, Buhari though shouldn't have responded to her publicly- That was Wrong of him.
What I now notice is that Buhari knows Aisha as Power hustler and Aisha sees Buhari as a stubborn and uncompromising man.
She kept saying "We", who are the "we"? Did Nigerians elect her? If Aisha wants power she should go contest election.
No mother will publicly bring the image of her son to disrepute. Publicly advising your husband is not my definition of lashing out. Coming out to indirectly tell party members who are are left of the government that hayy I've done my part but he's just not listening is not lashing out. Fashola didn't come from from nowhere to become a governor. He was Tinubu's chief of staff. Which means he was in charge of Tinubu's cabinet before he was backed by him to become a Governor. She's entitle as a private citizen as you're to use the word 'we'. |

These are some of Aisha's achievements while living with Muhamamdu Buhari his wife: Emphasis on Aisha's achievements. Despite getting married at an earlier age, she was able to achieve all what you listed. I hope young girls living in the north are watching and learning. Being a wife and a mother should not stop you from wanting the best for yourself. |

kabrud: I understand ur point to the last letter.
But my argument is that we seem to place so much emphasis on political appointment as a compensation for participating in politics which is wrong. It shouldn't be because u played an active role in my election, I should compensate u with appointment, no! Ur purpose of participation should be ur zeal to ensure good governance. U don't need to participate in politics b4 u are given an appointment if u have the qualification. Although, our system is so wacked that this is the common mentality among we Nigerians. Creating jobs for Nigerians is part of good governance. Creating jobs for people who are Nigerians and loyals to the party is also a bonus to the Presidency . Don't get me wrong. Bringing is technocrat who is loyal to the country is okay but bringing in a technocrat who is loyal to the country and the party is also more than okay. |
Politics › Re: Aisha Speaks Again - Stop Buhari’s cabal Now by luvmijeje(f): 6:33am On Oct 16, 2016 |
kabrud: Exactly what I'm saying.
U want appointment to be based on who know who rather than CV, recommendations and past records. Then, how will the country progress? And if he does that, it is ur types that will still come online and be shouting upandan making some funny noise that he is not running an all-inclusive system. You still don't get it. The party loyalists are not all uneducated people. Majority are graduate and qualified or have dependents who qualified for the position. While those that are not graduates are given positions that fits their qualifications. Do you know majority of women that clean the street of Lagos are also members of APC? In a country where majority have apathy to voting, these are the people who has a lot to lose that go out to vote. |
Politics › Re: Aisha Speaks Again - Stop Buhari’s cabal Now by luvmijeje(f): 5:54am On Oct 16, 2016 |
kabrud: This is one of the people I'm talking about. Okay, with reasoning like this, how can this country progress for God's sake? How did APC have stronghold over Lagos states for more than 16years? I will tell you one reason. Tinubu understands the Importance of rewarding those that are loyal him and he has created an army out it. How does he do it? For every 100 jobs, 60 will go to party loyalist. And for the 60 they all have dependents who will go to the polls to vote. And those 60 will still be bring in a lot of referrals. That's the big picture the President is failing to see. |

My respect for this woman has gone up. This interview has shown that she is an intelligent, brilliant and politically astute person.
I said it earlier that for her to come out to criticize her husband, it shows he doesn't listen.
Where is it done in the world of politics that those who fought for you to be President must be sideline. He's making the same mistake Jonathan did and he's too stubborn to realize it. |

kazyhm: yeah! I understand you perfectly...........but does the first lady seem to understand her roles as a woman, wife, mother, first lady and an equal gendered ? going by this her contributions. As a wife and a mother what she did is wrong. None of her misgivings should have been said in public except if their marriage is at the point of no return . But she's not an elected candidate like the President which means her words doesn't carries much weight as the President. |
603]
Joke as in how? The verbal version of the comics he's fond of reading? I wonder why APC operatives and supporters never think things through! In this time where there is heightened sensitivity about the role of women and equality of the sexes that is when the mightily daft n dull president, standing beside a world leader who happens to be female, decides to make a tasteless, sexist statement about where she belongs and they call it a joke!
Do u guys realise the implications on our image worldwide? Did he even need to address his wife's interview via the press? What happened to a private conversation whether via telephone or face to face? What do u mean by saying that Garba says it's a joke and it should be left that way? That Nigerians are not allowed to have independent thoughts and opinions or he's the only one qualified to interprete the President's spoken words? Jokers!
They just don't get it. The statement by the President is sexist, demeaning and derogatory to women . And I'm not not surprise majority of posters don't get it. They are all products of a society who sees women as nothing but a second class citizens.
But what's is annoying is seeing women who should be annoyed supporting rubbish which shows we still have a long way to go. |

Politics › Re: Aisha’s BBC Interview – She Got It All Wrong, My Respect For PMB Just Soars by luvmijeje(f): 10:59am On Oct 15, 2016 |
The only thing I see wrong in the what the first Lady did is coming out to criticize her husband publicly and for her to do that it shows the President don't listen.
What she said doesn't warrant the insult to all women. It doesn't warrant the President to sanction our men to treat and see women as only good in the bedroom and in the kitchen. Which kind wahala be all this na. |

aalangel: Well, I said it right from when i decided to watch them again that Okiemute was the best. Like Enemmo said, the show needs a total overhauling, from Presenters to Judges and Faculty.
For the first time after Chidinma, the finalists got what they deserved accordingly. Though I wish it was Kitay that was 1st runner-up not razz girl Elizabeth who I can't really stand (she's just fortunate). Her gra-gra annoys me. Her fans should not eat me raw. My opinion.
Congrats Okiemute, shine on!!! Why do you say Elizabeth is razz? Na una type deh call actress weh act ashewo well inside film ashewo outside. |

shumuel: I was not chanced to post the winners yesternight, thanks to all those who did.
Anyways i knew a lady would win and it was certain when that ashawo Praiz added a trip to SA to the Prize, even Bolanle gave a funny reaction when she mentioned it, hmmm... Make he sha no give our Okiemute belle o before the trip ends, Mr Ashewo Rich & Famous
Okiemute: a well deserved position, even though she over hyped some of her performance which hadn't required that much energy, we still wanted her to Win, and yeah she did.
Elizabeth: I don't need much talk nor should i be so surprised she got this position, thats what happens when your entire church worldwide is behind you, something i thought L.F.C a.k.a Winners chapel should had done for Steve but sadly they didn't, hmmm, anyways she did good from the start and earned her place among the best 4, only that i was thinking Kitay would be placed better than/above her.
Kitay: On point from start to finish, did great and he his fit for the 1st''Winner'' position but hey this is PF, where anything happens.
Pere: Pererere... Has the voice but not much of a performer, wanted him to be right where he his, so its all perfect for him atleast he has something to take home to his mama oooo .
Dapo: If he takes is acts seriously, i see him as one of those contestants who didn't win anything but made it big outside the academy, i only pray he does.
Winner: Let her just go Gospel, giving us some real gospel songs that touches the soul, the ones that makes you close your eye and connect with your maker ''God'', with tear drops rolling down your cheek, like Cece wanners, she is good and i see her successful with that, Secular no be her thing.
Sleepyeyez, Amicable09, Imoniyi, Dqueenzy, Luvmejeje, Shugacane, Sleekyshuga, jasmine21 e.t.c thanks for keeping the thread alive.
