Scorpion.

Note of warning: do not watch this series if you are a programmer, network engineer, mechanical engineer or a close minded person.

But if you're an open minded person like me who believes nothing is impossible such as connecting a cable to a control panel in a fast moving aeroplane to a laptop in a fast moving car then this series is for you.

Scorpion makes the impossible fun. Makes scientific jargon understandable and relatable.

On a serious note as open minded as I am there are some episodes I watched and I'm like 'make una fear God' but overall I've giving it 9/10 for the great characterisation and for never having a dull episode.
Nairaland General › Re: Lagoons, Rivers, Creeks And Other Waterways In Lagos. by luvmijeje(f): 10:34pm On May 14, 2016
The Popo Aguda were slaves that returned from Cuba and Brazil. Most of these returnees had been stone masons and builders in Brazil and Cuba and they built most of the gothic and latin houses you see in Lagos.

They settled in the Campos and Popo Aguda area of Lagos (Campos Square is named after G. Hilario Campos, a cuban returnee).

Some of the returnees changed their names to african names (eg, Adeyemo Alakija who was originally name Placido Assumpcao), while many also chose to retain their portuguese names (eg the Santos, Pereira, Pinheiro, Emanuel, da Rocha, Dasilva, Marquis, Fernandez and other such families of Lagos).

The Popo Aguda brought elements of brazilian culture to Lagos. They introduced the carnival to Lagos in the 1800s. They were also staunch catholics and they built many catholic institutions like St Mary's Private School, St Gregory's College and Holy Cross Cathedral.
Naptu, thanks. This is very informative and educative. I never knew the slave returnees contributed so much to the development of Lagos. I've always thought the British single handedly built Lagos pre-independent.

It's saddening that our educational system is selling short their contribution while over hyping the contribution of the British.

Who has watched breaking bad here? I've downloaded from season 1 to 5 but I'm seriously contemplating on deleting the entire shit, so far I've watched season 1 and now on the 4th episode of season 2 and apart from a few action and witty scenes, it's been super boring all the way, I feel like I'm wasting my time on the movie, it's just that it's too highly rated, guys who have finished watching it, will the movie yet burst to life or should I delete the whole thing and move on to another series
I'm still better than you, at least I manage to watched the whole episodes in season 1. I just couldn't believe a series that is so overrated can can be so flat in every area.

Breaking bad made me doubt my judgement in films. I still don't believe that I couldn't find any worth watching in the world acclaimed series.
TV/Movies › Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by luvmijeje(f): 4:20pm On Apr 16, 2016
Supernatural....... I watched season 1-4 within a week and I'm not jobless. I just couldn't stop watching.

It's everything Grimm should have been. Beautiful story..... Great chemistry and rapport between the brothers........ Lively and humorous actors.

When anything happens and the presidency has spoken on it, anybody who wants to remain deaf to it, there’s then nothing that can be done. It doesn’t have to be that way. There are many ways to kill a snake. Going there to visit is not the only way.
Hian! If Femi is tired of speaking, speaking and speaking he should kindly resign as the spokesperson for the President.
Politics › Re: We’ll Deliver 10,000 MW Target - Fashola by luvmijeje(f): 12:20pm On Apr 03, 2016
I just finished watching Fashola dissecting and explaining the power sector on YouTube.

The way he dissect the sector in a layman's language is impressive. The confidence he exuded is impressive . The way he views challenges as opportunities is illuminating. The way he explained the privatisation of PHCN is educative.

I can bet with everything I have that he will deliver more than 10,000MW.

The other Ministers should learn from him.

Agents of shield and Grimm.

I'm not a fan of Marvel but Agents of shield made me one.

I'm not a fan of science fiction but Agents of shield made me one.

I'm not a fan of psychopath but Agent Ward made me one....... 9/10.

Grimm..... Nick and Juliet=dull, boring and lifeless. I've never watched a couple that their kisses is so lifeless.
The saving grace for Grimm is Monroe and the plot.

Grimm taught me the difference between a beautiful story carried out by great Actors and beautiful story carried out by boring actors.

hmm I see your point but it's not policy yet, the legislators on your behalf can invite them for proper discussions. I doubt with current income, the legislators will be against this policy; perhaps this is standard practise everywhere

I hope the government also tax all those unregulated soft drinks and alcoholic drinks - Ministry of health needs better funding
I agreed. The government should focused on taxing those that are not being taxed.

Nigerians are already paying highly for recharging their lines and buying of data.

That's what the legislators are there for. The executive presents a bill, the legislators(your representative) put forward argument for or against it and depending on your response they pass/edit or reject it- Shikena
That's not true. The executive still have the responsibility in communicating policies rules and laws to her citizens.

Hopefully the National Assembly will not pass this into law.

This is one of my issue with with this government. Before presenting this kind of suffering impacting bill there should be a National discourse. The Minister should be on every major news outlet informing us on the merit of the Bill and why every Nigerians should queue up behind it.

PDP right now has an image problem. Who are the faces and voices of PDP? Thugs. Are there no distinguish gentlemen and ladies in PDP?

We need more of Ben Bruce from every region in Nigeria. Nigerians deserve opposition with class.

PDP should focus on re-branding.

We all know that change is a process and not a destination. There is only hope for change when the people in charge put a sound blueprint and structure. This can't be said of APC that started failing from the day of campaign.

They gave gigantic wish lists to Nigerians but dodged every opportunity to tell exactly how they intend to meet up(remember I then opposed the idea of escaping debate). You all don't know that the best you can do for your candidate is to ensure he does the appropriate thing irrespective of your support. He has to show that he earns it and not gifted.

Secondly you dwelt on body language when signs of non availability of a working blueprint was on the table. I shook my head in frustration.

Thirdly, change does not exist in a vacuum. If you follow Lagos state you will see that Tinubu first set the stage from his first day in office. His blueprint WS the foundation in which is success and those of his successor was built. I'm waiting sha
As I said earlier, I'm giving them benefit of the doubt. Three years is long enough to prove their critics wrong.

I'm educated enough to realise that it will unfair to expect drastic change for a country destroyed by 16 years of PDP led government.

I'm wise enough to realise that APC inherited an economic in depression and it will take time to stabilise the country.

To be honest I'm not confident that the APC led government will deliver but I'm giving them benefit of the doubt.

ITK.

So Tinubu must wash their party's dirty linen in the public space?

If Tinubu meant well, he could have taken Kachikwu on in private.

But Tinubu has now created cracks in the party he bhelped to build.

You blamed Jonathan for all the ills of Nigeria when Jonathan was president.

Buhari must take all the blames of Nigeria now as president of Nigeria.

Tinubu should have forwarded his fuel scarcity outburst to Buhari.
He's criticising the President. He's just not doing it directly.

There is fire on the mountain.......Tinubu as a National party leader coming out openly to criticise an APC government confirm that all is not well between the President and Tinubu.

The President should tread carefully. Fashola was appointed behind Tinubu and now Animashaun. The President should go and learn why Tinubu have a stronghold on Lagos politics.

Okkkkkkkkkk! I've seen all your points. But what really nail the coffin for me is the 'woman' behind the man and the woman in question. Which begs alot of questions.

Who's she?

If it's true she is an electoral officer why will the police allow one of the parties to have access to her?

Why are they been protective of her?

What are all the major actors doing there?

Why are they not in the collation centre?

The most annoying...... Why are the major news outlets not giving us the results?
