Elsah: Lol, noone is a thug. We are all just going through difficult times. Sometimes abusing ppl makes other ppl feel lighthearted and happy, due to the harsh conditions they face in reality. It's just 'passive aggression'. I don't take things personal like that. Lol.
You do have a good head on you but not many people do. I've met a lot of people here who take insult personally and I'm happy you're not one of them.
Why did I tell you that I love you? I love your view of loneliness. I fought 90% of my war on my mind. It's a war that I have gotten to realise no one around me understand.
alBHAGDADI: Perhaps you didn't see that luvmijeje's post doesn't in anyway tend to my post. I ignored her post not only because it didn't treat my post but also because it reeks of ignorance. Let's have a look.
According to her, she can make heaven by not being born again but simply by feeding the less privileged and clothing them. That's why she cited the verses she did.
Like I always say, the Bible is not a book for the carnal mind. If you are not born again and with the spirit of God, you won't understand the words of the book which are spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Now, she quoted a passage but didn't understand stand it, that's why she got the wrong notion from it. That wrong notion is that she can enter the kingdom of God simply by rendering help to people without believe in Jesus which makes one born again. She forgot that the passage spoke of some people on the RIGHT and some on the LEFT. Those on the right did certain things, thinfs which luvmijeje thinks if she does she will also make the kingdom of God. But guess what? Those on the RIGHT became something first before they could do those things which now made Jesus place them on the RIGHT. They first became his sheep by believe in him which is equivalent to being born again. Look at verse 34
Matthew 25:33-40 (KJV) 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Below is Jesus talking about his sheep.
John 10:27-28 (KJV) 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
How did they become his sheep? They became his sheep by doing the will of the father which is to believe in Jesus Christ as seen in the verse below. Notice how they both speak of eternal or everlasting life.
John 6:40 KJV And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Luvmijeje is saying that she doesn't need to be born again which is the same thing as believe in Jesus Christ. According to her, all she needs to do is good WORKS just as the sheep on the RIGHT did. She is skipping the part where those sheep believed in Jesus before they could become sheep worthy to be placed on the RIGHT.
Luvmijeje is simply trusting in her WORKS of righteousness to save her instead of having faith or believe in Jesus. She doesn't know that our works are filthy rags before God, so such can't save us. What saves us and makes us righteous is our believe/faith in God, same thing that got Abraham saved cos God counted that as righteousness.
Genesis 15:6 (KJV) And he believed in the LORD ; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
Your works of righteousness can't save you. If you like do all the good in this world, if you lack faith in Jesus, you will end up damned like the goats in Mathew 25 who failed to do God's will. Works cannot save you but faith in Jesus will.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of WORKS, lest any man should boast.
Those people whom Jesus placed on the right were placed there first due to their faith which made them sheep of Jesus. It was after that was done that their works now brought them reward. It never said their works is what saved them. If it's their works that saved them, then what's the need for Jesus? As for the goats, many of them did good works as well, but they got condemned because they didn't have faith in Jesus.
Now, as long as you have faith in Jesus, you are a righteous man. Even if you don't do works, you are still counted as righteous.
Romans 4:5 (KJV) But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Now compare the above verse with how the Bible refered to Abraham below.
Genesis 15:6 (KJV) And he believed in the LORD ; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
That's how you climb the pulpit to start teaching rubbish. Do you know why I quote that scripture? I quoted that scripture in order for you to see how flawed the scripture is
In order to justified the scripture I quoted, you quoted a parable of a sheep and a goat to me. The other scriptures you quoted is bullshit because I don't believe in the teaching of Paul. I've already opened 3 threads on how the teachings of Paul differ from the teaching of Christ and I'm still going to open 17 more threads.
You have been deafening our ears on why we must be born again, why at the end of it all, it was never a requirement.
When Christ sent the 12 and 72 disciples, he didn't command them to baptize anybody. You all make having relationship with God, rigorous, difficult and cumbersome with all these teachings of men. The Bible is the teachings of men and one of my purpose on this section is to prove it.
wiseGD: It's a shameful thing that in this day and age a country's president treats its citizenry according to how he is voted into power.
And even more shameful when said citizens support such actions... Citizens who should be educated and better still enlightened.
Goodluck Jonathan served first term. As incumbent and someone who had done what you could see, you deemed it safer to vote for him than for a former general who had no on- ground achievement except being a one- time army general.
And now, the same general who felt no qualms knocking out an incumbent is angry at any region he got little votes because he thinks he DESERVES their vote?
DID YOU HAVE THE SAME CONSIDERATION TOWARD YOUR PREDECESSOR? Or was it gonna turn into a bloodbath if not in your favour?
Four years gone and I must be intimidated into another vote else I'm thrown away??
Is Nigeria truly practising democracy?? We need to answer this truthfully. Or is it fear of 'vote for so and so to pave way for us next time'?
We keep spouting... "Freedom of speech" "Freedom to vote and be voted for" "Freedom..........."...... Are they just empty words?
If you did not vote for me, that means you thought someone else could do the job better and I have not convinced you of my capability. The reasonable thing to do would be to use my time in office to give you reasons to trust me..and not a deliberate negligence!
The citizens had better save this nation their forefathers were so proud of. No one else will do it for you.
Everybody knows APC have no chance in the Southeast. Despite Buhari calling the south-east the 5% the constitution will not allow him to deny you developmental projects that belongs to you even if he wants to.
Saying that, I agreed with those who says Ohaneze is not wise and generally when it comes to National politics the Igbos are not there yet. But you will learn and you are already learning how to play politics
1. By endorsing PDP, the Ohaneze shifted the battle ground from the southwest to the north alone.
2. By endorsing PDP, they put Afenifere in an uncomfortable position knowing the existing issue with Tinubu.
3. By endorsing PDP, they pushed the neutral Yoruba to become more Tribal.
4. By endorsing PDP, they are turning PDP into a tribal party.
5. By endorsing PDP, they are killing the chance of Igbos in APC in 2023.
6. By endorsing PDP, they will reduce their worth if APC wins.
7. By endorsing PDP and they will lose their voice in the next four years if APC.
8. By endorsing PDP, they will lose a chance to promote the Igbo agenda in the next four years if APC wins.
9. By endorsing PDP, they have lost the chance to start building bridges with the north ahead of 2023 election if APC wins.
10. By endorsing PDP, they have again lead the Igbos to put their eggs in one basket.
alBHAGDADI: You disciples of Daddy Freeze are the most foolish and gullible beings. No wonder he deceived you all easily. You are all more gullible than the sleepless in fake churches. At least those ones are seeking the truth but came across liars and were deceived. You Free The Sheeple Movement members are foolish because you think you know the truth but you fell easily for the lie.
Here you are claiming Christians go about telling people to be born again, instead of them to go preach about the kingdom of God like Jesus commanded. For your information, what they are doing is actually what Jesus sent them, because you cannot see the kingdom of God unless you are born again. Below is Jesus talking.
John 3:3 KJV Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Bullshit. I set a trap and I know a fool like you will fall into it. Mattew 25 : 34 - 39
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
And I don't have to be a righteous fool like you all to do the above.
MuttleyLaff: Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi used to be in PDP before aligning with ADP. Members of PDP are underground assisting, woriking and giving support to Gbadamosi. That speaks volume, besides that, Gbadamosi is more capable, equipped and exposed than Agbaje is to deliver dividends of democracy to Lagos State cc VBCampaign, naptu2, Ranchhoddas, oboOlora,
Agbaje was once like him. Agbaje used a new platform to launched himself. He came to our awareness in 2007 because of the gubernatorial debate. 8 years later a major Party brought him forward as their candidate.
I remembered the week after the debate, I was in the lecture room and one of my lecturers started campaigning for Agbaje and asking us whether we watched the debate. 12 years after I'm about to cast my first vote for him.
Gbadamosi's time will come. It's not just now but he's on the right path.
Funnily enough, the instruction of Christ to his disciples was to go ye into the world to preach about the upcoming Kingdom of God. What do we have now?
We have over-righteous and judgemental Christians going into people's house to tell people to be born again because their current life is not according to Christ or even inviting them to their church.
Thanks to Tinubu for the economic bondage he imposed on Lagos, its citizenry and visitors cc VBCampaign, naptu2, Ranchhoddas, oboOlora, luvmijeje
Why do you think I'm voting PDP this time? There is a saying that says in land of the blind, the one eye man is a king.
I know Tinubu is corrupt but I also know he has created an environment where technocrats gets to be chosen as candidate of any political party. He set the standard for a future Lagos.
Thank you for asking. Obi raped me of my innocence. He bred an hatred in me that I didn't know I was capable of.
All these happened during the campaign season that ushered in Obiano for his first term. The election was between Ngige and Obiano.
I never knew the Igbos has hatred for the Yorubas due to civil war but thanks to Obi I got to know. But what hurt me most was Obi standing in front of a huge crowd playing the tribal card and stoking the fears of the people. I didn't remember the exact words that he said but I remembered the feelings it left.
I remembered thinking how come come there's no outcry by the crowds. I remembered thinking how come no Igbos on nairaland criticize him. I remembered looking at my neighbours who are Igbos with suspicious.
But later later, I got to understand the hatred was borned of the feeling of betrayal. But I still expect our politicians to know better. To know that they must never use our fear and our differences to divide us or to win an election.
RTSC: Osibanjo did not avoid going by road because he was afraid of being mobbed. The guy obviously loves attention. We have seen pictures of him being mobbed as vice president while sharing 10k so called trader moni.
He came by helicopter because of the terrible stress in entering apapa by road.
I refuse to defend Osibanjo because I'm indifferent to him but for Obi, I just don't like him. I've detested him since the day when he was Governor. I'm not his fan.
MuttleyLaff: Please dunk Gbadamosi into Google and YouTube to get better acquainted with him because it is disheartening that you can admit you've just today first heard or known about Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi.
I don't give a toss, who governs Lagos State, even if it's a monkey or an ass, inasmuch as it governs, delivers on its promises, alleviate the problems, hardships and ills plaguing Lagos State, I'll be a satisfied and happier person. Not asking for much, but just have someone in that would bootstrap Lagos State into the 21st century. cc VBCampaign, naptu2, Ranchhoddas, oboOlora
It also saddens me that I'm just getting to know of this brilliant guy. I love Lagos State and thanks to someone like Tinubu who raised the standard of governance in Lagos State.
MuttleyLaff, I can boldly say the 2019 Lagos State gubernatorial debate is the best gubernatorial debate I have ever watched. It was fun, passionate, educative and generally insightful.
I'm happy you brought Gbadamosi to my awareness. He's good. He came prepared and did his homework very well. He's articulate and he's passionate. He's brilliant and he's clever. So was it enough to shift me? Nahhh. And I'll give you five reasons.
1. ADC has no platform yet to go toe to toe with APC.
2. If APC loses the presidential election in Lagos, ADC don't have men to tear down Tinubu. E.g Obasanjo
3. If APC loses the presidential election in Lagos, Gbademosi don't have the platform to bring opposition together against APC.
4. If APC loses the Presidential election in Lagos, Gbadamosi don't have the clout of Agbaje that will be be able to spread message underground of an imminent change of guard. Remember there will no campaign in those period.
5. If APC lose the Presidential election in Lagos, ADC will be a beautiful bride that will woo by the opposition and ruling party ahead of the gubernatorial election. Meaning ADC will leave Gbademosi left to dry out in the sun.
MuttleyLaff: Oby that went sucking up to IBB at Minna Anyway, your vote whether its a winning vote or not is not a waste, it unlike can be said for others, shows, at least, you are following your convictions.
I think the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi, candidate, is a better and promising option than Agbaje. Do you remember when he was picked up and incarcerated by the security services?
I have never heard of him and I also failed to watch this year gubernatorial debates because I've already made up my mind on whom to vote for but I'm about to download the video on YouTube. Let's see whether he or anyone else can convince me enough to shift my vote.
MuttleyLaff: 1/ Would you give either PDP or APC your vote, come February 16th 2019? 2/ Hypothetically speaking, out of Gbademosi, Agbaje and Sanya-Olu who would mostly have your vote?
1. I'm voting Oby Ezekwesili and I know it will be a waste.
MuttleyLaff: What exactly has the Politician Deceiving People (PDP) and Abject Poverty Continues (ACP) parties to offer Nigerians? What exactly has the devil and the deep blue sea have to offer Nigerians?
They will be force to offer something when we voters start voting right.
We only need to defend and continously make our electoral system better.
MuttleyLaff: 1/ What prevents Nigeria been wiser coming February 16th 2019? 2/ Have Nigerians no other alternative(s) and/or option(s) than Politician Deceiving People and Abject Poverty Continues parties? 3/ I will take it with more than a pinch of salt that come 2023, it wouldn't be a deja vu between the devil and the deep blue sea all business as usual, over again
Believe it or not, parties or system generally are not created to be perfect. Right now Nigeria is going through its teething problem like everything in life.
This is Nigeria's 5th general election. Imagine 5 more general elections. You can't compare 2019 election to 1999. We have grown. We are wiser. More Nigerians are now pacticipating in the electoral process.
And this is the first time we are having two major parties fighting for our votes. Last election doesn't count because PDP didn't believe they could lose out, so they didn't fight enough.
We can only go forward if we all don't allow this system to be truncated.
MuttleyLaff: Do you really believe and/or have faith that Nigerians will be wiser come 2023?
I think any thought that they will, needs to be taken with more than a pinch of salt. The elitists and the corruptible media outlets, who ought to know better, have not only failed us, failed to sensitise the vote carrying electorates but have also sold the country down the river, and we are now left to clamour and back between the devil and the deep blue sea
Nigerians will be wiser in 2023. Not only the voters but I believe our political parties.
It's just that PDP no try at all with their candidate. They didn't give us someone who's better than Buhari.
I've been waiting for someone to ask. You know I love sharing my life experience.
All my life, I've been waiting for an angel to appear to me or someone to come up to me to deliver a message to me from God. Nothing came up. I've no special gifts to make me think I'm special. I felt purposeless and specialless.
Then an event happened that change the thinking of who I am. I came home beaten and tired of life from work. I just felt useless. Then I started crying. Then my mind told me to resign from work. Then I started typing my resignation letter via my mail. When I was through, for the first time in life, I felt at peace. Looking back, it was the moment I experienced God and at that moment I didn't know.
Experiencing God is turning point in one's life when you begin a journey whereby you discover a part of you that you are unaware of.
XxSabrinaxX: And why should I believe a subjective evidence? How does this justify anything?
You are not expected to believe or not to believe. That's is one of my problem with religion. Why force or insult people who don't believe in God. I got to experience God late in life despite being born into a Christian home.
And I didn't get to experience God the way it was written in the Bible. It was nothing like it was written in the Bible.
That's why I said religion limits God. God's bigger than religion. Anything can make you feel there's more to this life.
XxSabrinaxX: Watch the video I posted in my first post and you'll see how flawed your reasoning is. Till you realize your errors, I have no business with you. I only tagged you to expose a dishonest religious apologist that has been trolling these forums. I didn't ask you to prove anything. So you, Anas09, jesmond3945 and the rest of your gang should please leave me alone. When you have evidence for a supernatural deity, let me know.
I don't have to watch any video to see how flawed how your argument was. Whether you know it or not, you having never experience God is a story who God is in your life. You don't need to show us evidence. So why expect me to show you the evidence of my experience with God.
So anybody arguing for God is talking from a point of experience. And you arguing against it, is also talking from a point of experience.
