I have noticed that compared to 6 months ago,my fear of death and hell fire is diminishing. This didn't come so easy after losing my faith. At first I was a bit scared but now that I don't think I have a blissful eternity waiting for me. I am somehow more comfortable with death than I usually was.

For the first time I traveled from Abuja to Lagos without praying for safe journey to and fro. I was completely at rest for the first time in my life. Usually I panic and spit out "blood of Jesus" at every given chance. I normally have sleepless night journeys but now it is completely different. Life can be beautiful for those who let it.

Christianity seems to planted in us the fear of death of death.It is seen as a divine punishment,rather than help us accept it as a very natural and neutral part of being alive.

I thought my fears would increase as a non-christian but instead I am enjoying a fantastic peace of mind.

Christianity is supposedly all about removing the fear of death for a promise of eternal bliss, but then it also says heaven is just a hope not a guaranty. One bible verse gives you hope and another one completely nolifies it. The Bible also failed to give the minimum requirement for a believer to make heaven. It seem to be a never ending cycle of fear

I want to thank the Atheist on this forum for relentlessly standing against the wave of religion,otherwise I probably will still be out there nursing my ex state of mind. Thank you!

I want a genuine answer from people with knowledge and experience of how the holyspirit work.Does the holyspirit have any thing to do with football? If my pastor predict a match saying holyspirit reavealed it, his he a false pastor?

Children who were raped and abused by Jehovah’s Witnesses were told by church elders not to report it because it would shame the religion, it is claimed.

Victims from across Britain have told the BBC how they were routinely abused — but it was hushed up by the secretive organization.

One victim, Louise Palmer, said she was told that reporting her rapist brother to police would “bring reproach on Jehovah.”

The 41-year-old, formerly of Halesowen — a small town 115 miles north-west of London — was born into the organization along with her brother Richard Davenport, who started raping her when she was four. He is now in jail.

She said of the moment she went to elders: “I asked, ‘what should I do? Do you report it to the police, do I report it to the police?'”

“And their words were that they strongly advised me not to go to the police because it would bring reproach on Jehovah.”

Palmer added: “I believe children aren’t safe. No child is ever going to feel like they can come forward.”

Another woman said she was raped as a child by a friend of her brother.

But her parents and elders in the congregation advised her not to report it.

The BBC said it also spoke to male and female victims in Worcestershire, Birmingham, Cheltenham, Leicester and Glasgow who told gave similar accounts.

They claim the religion’s organizing body “self-polices” sins but insists on two witnesses before a congregation will act on any alleged transgression.

But that is impossible in most cases of sexual abuse.

Victims also told the BBC how church elders teach members to avoid interactions with outside authorities and not to take another member to court.

Breaking this rule could lead to expulsion from the religion, they say.

Child abuse lawyer Kathleen Hallisey believes there could be thousands of victims across the country who have not come forward because of the “two witness” rule.

The organization described child abuse as a “heinous crime and sin” and said it did not “shield abusers from the authorities of the consequences of their actions.”

It said: “Any suggestion that Jehovah’s Witnesses covered up child abuse was absolutely false.”

It said victims and their parents had “the absolute right to report the matter to the governmental authorities” and that was “not contingent on the number of witnesses to the offense.”

The statement added “loving and protective parents” were the “best deterrent to child abuse” and elders provided “abuse victims and their families with spiritual comfort from the Bible.”

An ongoing inquiry into safeguarding issues in the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Britain – the UK’s main Jehovah’s Witnesses organization – was begun by the Charity Commission watchdog in 2013.

But there is no scriptural or physical harm in the banning. In any society law and order cannot be over or underrated. It bring decorum into an organization. Remember that the long beard is to be ban within RCCG/member so, it is not binding on everybody. As a member if am to attend service I cut my beards but if not I carry my beards as usual to any other place I choose to; so there is nothing wrong here.

I don't understand somebody set it own rule and what they thing is good for them so, If you like join or dismember period. We all have one or two standard we protect individual or as a group, government etc. Nothing is by force again. Show some respect to next person opinion it will go along way to understand and tolerate among ourselves. I am not their member but respect their decision.

So many times I see people jumping into marriage without knowing what they are jumping into.
Marriage is an everlasting institution and those that study the institution well shall find joy in it.

Marriage unites two sinners into one. Without looking at the gospel you will not understand biblical marriage. The main purpose of marriage is to glorify God and to be a representation of how Christ loves the church.

In marriage you are not only committing to each other in companionship, you are committing to each other in everything. Nothing comes before your spouse.

Proverbs 18:22 “He who finds a wife finds what is goodand receives favor from the LORD.”

But this day you hardly see people asking God
Is she made for me? Lord show me my wife?

What do you expect when you don't build the foundation of your marriage with God.
Divorce, heartbreak, unfruitful marriage and so on possibly it could lead to death
