Africans, including Igbos, have existed before the advent of organized religions. Read about  Igbo spiritual science here: Odinani/Omenala.

Recently, I read Catherine Acholonu-Olumba’s over 500-page book titled, They Lived Before Adam Prehistoric Origins of the Igbo The Never-Been-Ruled, in a culmination of 18 years of research into Igbo origins and the origins of other Kwa peoples. Kwa languages belong to the Niger-Congo family and are spoken by over 20 million people in such places as Nigeria, Ghana, and Benin.

In her book, she traces the “origin of the Igbo people of Nigeria to the earliest days of Homo Erectus Africans.”

Very early on in the book she examines the meaning of  “ndi Igbo.” She states, “Ndi-Igbo simply means, “the Ancients, the First People, the Aboriginals (Ndi Gbo).” The Igbo civilization in Nigeria is one that synthesized over the years from the original Negro hunter-gatherer autochthons (otherwise called Homo Erectus) scattered over various parts of the continent of Africa prior to and beyond 500,000 years ago from where they spread across the globe in the first phases of the ‘Out of Africa’ migrations. In West Africa these hunter gatherers were called Igbo by the earliest migrants who met them in situ on arrival in the Niger-Benue confluence area. In other parts of Africa they went by various names such as Bushmen, San or Shan, Twa and Pygmies. It was these little people, known in Southern Africa as San or Shan, in China as Shan (creators of the Shan Dynasty of God-men) and in Igbo land as Eshi/Nshi or Nwa Nshi, who until recently were still seen in southeastern Nigeria nurturing the cultural life-wire of the Igbo, that had birthed the original Igbo forest culture hundreds of millennia before the North-South migrations that were later to bring about the relatively new Pan-Igbo identity anchored around the Nri hegemony” (Acholonu-Olumba, 2009, p. 2)

Whether one agrees with many of her assertions, it is quite apparent she is well-researched. The book can no doubt spark interesting conversations among those interested in the African origins of humankind. I find this research promising, and the idea of the Igbo being an ancient people, who have influenced a number of other cultures and religions, to be my position.
Does that mean igbo are the high priest melchizedek ?
CrimeRe: Meet Jezebel On Earth by macjive01(op): 8:17pm On Mar 28, 2013
macjive01: Meet the woman who beats her businessman husband so severely that he almost lost his arm and will need cosmetic surgery to heal his horrific scars.

Chidi nwabueze, 49, from anmbra, suffered two years of abuse at the hands of his wife, including one attack where she sprayed bleach in his eyes.
He also suffered fractures to his skull, cheekbones, and nose, three cracked ribs and horrific burns on his arm from an iron at the hands of his ex-girlfriend.

Joy Bola, 38, from Ogun state, who is now in detention awaiting trial for  causing grievous bodily harm, also lit cigarettes and shoved them up her partner’s nose after falsely accusing him of having an affair.
On one occasion, she also poured two kettles full of boiling water over him - and even attacked him with a vacuum cleaner.
chidi, who is now preparing for the surgery, said: 'It was between Christmas and New Year (in 2006) when she first accused me of having an affair with one of her friends.
'This was the first time she lashed out.
'She punched me in the face and I had a black eye.'

Bola begged him for forgiveness, saying it was just a one-off and soon moved into his flat at Mushin, Lagos state.
However a few weeks later she launched another attack with the vacuum cleaner.
chidi recalled: 'She began ranting and raving about previous partners of mine.
'Then, all of a sudden, she switched the vacuum cleaner off, grabbed the nozzle and whacked me across the face with it. I could feel my cheek split.'
This was the first of many outbursts of domestic violence from the then 34-year-old and the attacks got progressively worse.
His worst ordeal came when Bola poured a kettle full of boiling water into his lap and, while he was screaming in agony, she reboiled the kettle and poured it over him again.
He continued: 'She would show off my injuries to her friends.

'I felt as though I couldn’t walk away, because she told me she had family who were involved in organised crime who would kill me if I left her.
'I felt I was trading with my life.

I was brought up well and taught never to hit a woman - and I didn’t lay a finger on her.'
The night before Joy's arrest, Mr chidi endured an attack that lasted almost seven hours, where he was beaten with a metal bar and his body smashed in places with a claw hammer.

A neighbour who heard his screams called the vigilante, who took him to hospital and arrested Joy.
Although the violence had come to an end, Mr chidi didn’t realise the aftermath would be just as bad.

Injuries: Among Chidi's injuries were,   .

I think Houston should be the second state, there are enough Igbos in Houston to form a state.

80% of the black Doctors are of Igboid.

15% of the new non-government developement are championed by Igbos.

605 of the Top black executives in the Oil Industry are of Igboid.

They both have very similar peculiar nature

firstly,

Their names both start with A
They are both Ex-convicts
They both stole money.
They both were Jailed.
They both were pardoned
They both were praised by their people, despite their obvious crimes.
Their Pardon caused lots of controversy, nationally and Internationally.

They reason alike,

dayokanu: This is the rabid illiteracy thats troubling the Ibos

Free education started in the 1950 So when did Awolowo pillage, ravage Ibo banks, business?
yes, pilot scheme started in the 50s , at that point it was lackluster at best. it wasnt until he had amassed igbo wealth that he was able to roll out the program on the scale he did.

BLOODY THIEF

where on earth do you think Awol got the money to embark on free education ? dont you realise it was the money Stolen, confisticated and robbered from Igbo.

He ravaged and pillaged Igbo business, Igbo banks, Igbo private saving ( including those against the war) to fund a "village bush Free education" .

The manner Presidential pardon is doled out in this country is terrible, history has it that thieves, oles, and convicts, whom are granted presidential pardon always turns to commit even bigger crimes.

crime Against humanity (starving children of God).

crimes against mother earth (£20 policy).

even, crimes against God (poisoning).

AWOL, is a clear example, we urge the federal government to ensure these, recent pardoned criminal are placed on 24/7 watch to forestall what happen in to 60's from reoccurring.

The major thing bring people to Lagos Is only functioning seaport. To consider builting one in the eastern is not easy, as lot of resources, finances is required.
An out myopic eastern governor are more concern with dressing facilities that would say they are "working"- road and schools.
PoliticsRe: FG, Lagos Sign MOU On Lekki Deep Sea Port by macjive01: 9:22pm On Dec 17, 2012
good for lagos state, it really baffles me why other litorial states wouldn't think of a seaport.

why is river state building a stupid tram system that will cost so so much to maintain , when the state could have rather invested in a deep seaport project at about same money.

even the big importer in aba and onitsha could pull resources and partner with a one of these states to build one.
Akwaibom has a natural deep water coastal profile.
there is cross river, even delta.
