secondly , ojukwu did not get any approval from any eastern house of assembly, because he had dissolved the assembly. he created his own consultative assembly , members of which he handpicked himself. those are whom he claimed to have a dubious mandate from.

thirdly , there were many minorities who did not want to part of biafra and fought against biafra. this is clear.

fourthly, before ojukwu declared biafra , gowon created 12 states , giving the minorities their own power. so ojukwu had no more power over their land.
