what the hell is this? the camera is like 1 mile away from her face....even some house girls are more beautiful than her...
. Ah your plan don fail. U dey plan to hire some sexy ekaette as house girl? If madam catch you ! |
Airforce1: So dis mgbeke sef get brain? She no get all. I knew that a couple of years back when she said she went to have her baby in London to secure British kpale. Even though Oge was born in London and is British citizen! She didn't appear to know that even if her baby was born at Okija, Yemoja or Osun forest, among the pigmies of Congo forest or among the Bushmen of Kalahari desert, her baby would still be entitled to British citizenship. |
confusion247: I disagree with you too, it is easy for Yorubas to confront one of their own in an Oduduwa republic than to confront an Ijaw man in a One Nigeria.. Gbam! Right now if a Southerner confronts a Northerner it's tribalism, no matter how logical/justified it is and vice versa. Let Ndigbo squabble among themselves, Oodua the same. Water will eventually find its level. Even teeth and tongue disagree sometimes. When you mix water, PMS, jet fuel, diesel, paraffin and all together. the confusion is too much. |
deeptesting: Pretty sure the people in power seem not to understand the feelings of the people....The people are fed up, no road, no light, no water, no job, no food, no medical facility, young and eligible men cannot marry and grow their family, the frustration is running people crazy...the youths as a result of the artificial poverty created by the rulers have thrown all moral values to the dogs and are doing the unmentionable within and outside the country just to keep body and soul together, yet the rulers because we dont have leaders keep waging uneccesary war among themselves to hold on to power rather than resiging to be elder statesmen, they have become so entrapped in the pursuit of their selfish interest that they are all suffering from terminal hallucination, thinking that they are the smartest people, who can perpetually keep the youths in the background, while using those that are gullible as political thugs to achieve their selfish interest and disenfranchise the educated with lack of jobs. We take consolation in the fact that the only constant in life is CHANGE...Nigeria will not be the least.. My brother no need to waste your logic and grammar on the thieving elite. The fate of Mubarak awaits them the way they are going. |
It is people like Temitope Joshua who have contributed to delaying a long overdue revolution. They keep telling the youth to keep fasting and praying and wait for miracles! To the delight of the thieving elite of course. |
PEJ is not alone in her ways. There are millions of pushy over-sabi Naija babes whose intelligence does not really match their exuberance. PEJ is just one of the products of our environment. While I wish she was a bit more laid back and graceful, it doesn't make her any better or worse than the average Naija woman. But they are quintessential Nigerian women, pushing forward and in many cases they fend solely for their families. They sell epa, sachet water, they are teachers, policewomen etc. I think she just reflects our average Naija lady thrust into limelight without much preparation. We have lots of arrogant Naija women, many here on NL. It is just part of who we are. Part of our survival/defence strategy. Every family has one or two PEJ kinda person. PEJ may not carry herself as most of us would like, but even with a few extra pounds, she's still a fine mother of 3 kids or so. People should just advise her to meddle a bit less and focus more on charity work. |
adaobi123:. Na im be say war go break out o my dear. Who want to plant mango for main road? Nzogbu Nzogbu Eyimba..................my body is shaking vigorously now, like Amalinze the cat. |
alutacontinua: I don't like that Afam guy around her. He's too old for her. That guy shld be in his 40's. Lol. At Aba Ngwa where Afam is local champion, life begins at 45! Afam where art thou? |
adaobi123: Im cooolll. How are you ?Body dey inside cloth oo. Since we no get nude beach for London .Abeg protect your beautiful self from heat exhaustion oo. We no wan go visit anybarry for hospital. We don't want Afam sleeping at the High Commission to get visa to visit you. LOL. |
Ada dear how are you? So you dey gallivant for this sunshine, nearly hottest day of the year again. I think say I go see you near the square mile. lol. |
lynpetra: You are one fine gentleman!Thank you. You seem like a tactful and well-mannered young lady too. Some would have hurled insult. |
Don Demu: Nawa o.. Dats the same thing you just knelt and gave me. Dat lollipop tin nah, remember?. Don't talk to a lady like this dude. |

iyobs7: Hey google yaff diedYou're probably a kid. FYI I worked with wines long ago in Europe. You think everyone here is a jambite. I challenge you to meet up with me in any vineyard you know anywhere in Brittany, Bordeaux, Provence, Lombardy or Tuscany. Even anywhere in the Weinstrasse of the Rhine in Germany. You have the choice of Germany, France or Italy. Pick one. Let one reputable Nairalander be our moderator. Ideally in August this year. Are you ok with that? £1000 to be won (you contribute £500 and I contribute the rest). The better sommelier wins. Not everybody comes here to spew nonsense, my time is to valuable for it. |
nku5: Imagine if we had through trade managed to obtain oyibo man's technology, managed to stay uncolonised and trade with them... Lots of what ifs. That's what Benin Empire/Ovonramen, Jaja of Opobo and some others saw and refused to sign away their freedom. So Oyinbo did everything they could to provoke them into a fight they knew they'd win owing to better technology. Those were the real heroes of independence: they fought to preserve it instead of having to fight to get it back. Imagine that all pre-colonial Nigerian kingdoms/states resisted oyinbo vehemently. They would have given up like they did in Ethiopia. |
Nightshift: Italian wines are the real deal! I always take some bottles with me while heading to Eko. Drop your mail add if you need some in September. Nightshift will be in Eko then. All original, no fake sha!. Oh I usually buy from France when I go across the channel. If I was in Naija I would have liked some Italian Pinot Grigio, Chianti and even Merlot. I like Piedmontese wines like Barolo too. Of course Tuscany and Lombardy wines are great. I'd like it for collection when I am older. |
Nightshift: That one na wine? Just had a bottle of fine Italian red wine alone. Ladies in Konstanz ares( Germany) or Zurich(Switzerland) are invited next time. Anybody in these areas in the house?. Na ladies wine na, you want make them shark? I hope you no get dorty mind. Any way I'll volunteer to host the London-based ladies one night. It will be fun. Eire ladies also welcome. |
Ehen, I am just passing o babes. I just see some fine faces na im I say make I look closer. |
FILEBE: Dis thread don dey since 2009 o! Who d hell revisited it? Huh?. You no bow |
Thanks for all your comments and reactions, etc. The baby of the family is returning to Nigeria from the UK because following the successful completion of her PhD, she has so far not been able to land a suitable job. Far too many PhDers chasing the same jobs in and out of the academia. Besides, she has no Indefinite or Permanent Leave to Remain visa stamp on her passport, which currently makes it difficult for non-EU citizens to secure jobs. More importantly, her visa is fast running out, and she's not going to break any immigration rules.
. Erelu, thanks for the clarification. Without being an EU citizen it is difficult. I was going to suggest Australia/Canada/US (if she was a British national). Just to get some post-doc experience maybe in a reputable lab (assuming she's a scientist). It's very important to get some international post-doc stuff these days. Young PhDs do it here and many later secure good UK jobs from abroad and return. Never underestimate the power of networking in the academic community. On a lighter note, last year a friend of mine was looking for a nice lady to settle down with. That would have sorted the ILR issue being a British-born Naija-bred eko boy. He's a nice well-educated and a very academic kinda guy. He has hooked up with one acada chick since. |
Cuzz: remember that many live in slums in UK,so let her tell us wat she earns and her monthly savings after tax in UK. There are à lot of people who will take d nxt available flight to Lagos frm UK to grab the job,nt all that glitters are gold.. What you call slums in the UK is what is highbrow in Lagos. All the so-called UK slums have 24-hour water and light, family doctor a few blocks away, a major hospital with A & E within a couple of miles at most and all treatment completely free. Your kids can also have free education and still get some change as child benefit weekly. In the event of a medical emergency, an ambulance should reach you under 10 minutes. Not saying Europe is paradise BUT the system works here, not Naija where a few privileged people come to brag about how rich are or how they flex. Oh Michael Chinda has just been flown abroad, obviously those who can afford it have no faith in anything in Naija. No amount of superficial display of patriotism while embezzling money wherever you can is able to disguise it. Now to the topic: that chick should save up and buy an appartment in Lagos first. Unless she has a PhD and she can progress to a higher position/pay after some years of work experience. |
this is one of the most annoying posts ive ever seen. if u r actually asking this question, it means a) you dont love the girl b) you are not mature enough for marriage .
. My dear, God bless you a million times over. |
byns: are u advising i shud invest in property rather than settle down?. Let me tell you: he doesn't yet know how to handle money. Money is one of the biggest reasons for marriage failure in Naija. Let no one fool you. He doesn't have to marry at 28 or so if he's not financially prudent enough. He has only known the girl for 5 months so why the rush. What if he loses his current good paying job having spent nearly 6m to settle down? Property investment is solid. After all those owambe, reality will set in. Aah aah.....how can a serious person without a BQ to his name want to buy a 3.5m SUV? If he's waiting to inherit baba's duplex, all these elderly people don't want to die those days o. They are all going abroad for check up. If an employee/salary earner cannot manage 1.5m for his marriage, then he's financially indiscipline. |
Nashville: I had about the same amount of money at age 26 and do you know what I did? I bought a small 3 bedroom house in Abraham Adesanya Estate after Ajah in Lagos. Today that house is worth 18 million.Nashville, You dey mind this boy? Around the age of 23/24 I managed to build my first house, not that I needed to build but out of foresight. Looking back I could have done so even younger. That was a time awareness about property investment was much less among the youth, no internet, no social media, no Nairaland. Today people are making their first 100m at 23. Now you have investment advisers everywhere. There are 4-bedroom bungalows going for around 7.5m in Ikorodu, 3 bedroom estate flats in Iba for 3m, even 2-bed flats at Festac town for around 5.5m. |
Like Siena said NOCTURNAL ENURESIS (bedwetting at night) is rather common in adults. Affects between 0.5 to 2.3% of over 16 years old. At least every in 200 to about every 1 in 47 grown ups. The vast majority keep it secret. Is yours primary (never really dry for long periods ever) or secondary (returned after being previously dry). See a doc. They will mostly say it's psychological or neuropsychological. They may need to check your involuntary detrusor muscle function. |
@Poster, Just to clarify something: do you already have the C of O or it is in process? If you don't yet have it, please state it there. |
ceasare:@poster, People who bought land from you so far in Agbara/Lusada area, how did they verify the genuineness of the documents/land? How much do you also try to ensure any land you're selling is genuine? Because there's so much land scam out there and even an agent can inadvertently (especially if he just takes the seller/supposed owner's word for it) offer problem land to people to buy. |
blink182: are you trying to tell me you are in your 40's? You want to be bini more than bini people?. My good man, there are lecturers, company CEOs, consultants (doctors/surgeons) etc on this forum. I also know of a senior state government official who's a Nairalander. Yes people well over 40. There are people whose mothers hail from Benin Royal family and ducal families of Benin (themselves of Benin Royal descent) who have Igbo or Yoruba dads. A daughter of the current Oba of Benin is married to a non-Bini person. That somebody goes by Adeyinka Fapohunda or Eze Okafor doesn't mean he doesn't have strong Bini ties. You may not know, but Benin used to be the centre a relatively big empire (by African standards) and was a melting pot of sorts. Until about 1890s, many people in Benin could speak pidgin portuguese like we speak pidgin English today. Before English took over. My point is Bini People are quite mixed (a fact unknown to many). But the culture, long history and monarchy unite everyone. |

Virgin Finder: Nice one!Go and read the history of Lagos Monarchy and you will know where the first Eleko of Eko comes from. These are two relatives meeting. Oba Oyekan (of blessed memory) always underlined their blood ties. I learned about this first hand when one of Oba Oyekan's children was my classmate in secondary school. |
