Romance / Re: My Girlfriend Is Too Stubborn, Please Advise Me by MacLovington(m): 8:31am On Mar 08, 2019 |
Some women and even men here want him to be a mug. They want equal say but not equal responsibility. Later when things do not work out the same people will blame OP of not being in control of his home. The culture we live in or under puts a lot of responsibility on man to handle the household. A woman averse to that can try out an Afghan, an Indian, a Saudi, a German, etc. 3 Likes |

oluwaseyi000:Religion itself is not bad. But the population is not enlightened (not talking of education) enough to know difference between what a religious philosopher came up with as a general life guide from the interpretations by various charlatans building empires for their pockets. Therein lies one of the problems. That is why China is not taking any Chance with freedom of religion for everyone. Although I disagree with the Chinese methodology. |

Jesusloveyou:Many like you who claim to follow Jesus are extremely foolish and have nothing in common with Jesus. And also very demented. Irrespective of which party, the courts interprets the law as it deems fit. It could have ordered a rerun of the election this time with the correct APC candidate. But it has to consider public interest including cost. If a party could not put its house in order to produce a legal primaries winner the court can sanction it for that. A court process can process can produce an unexpected result. It could even have favoured the candidate that came third under exceptional circumstances even if the third didn't go to court. The Supreme Court will finally settle it. I know Nigerian education system has failed kids of nowadays. |
Politics / Re: Court Sacks Abdurrauf Abubakar Modibbo, Orders Jaafaru Sulaiman To Take Over by MacLovington(m): 6:57pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
Jesusloveyou:It means the candidate shouid never have stood for election talkless of winning. A governorship position was won once like that. I think in Rivers or something back then. Amaechi didn't stand for election but won against Omehia at the Supreme Court, who was the sitting governor months after election in 2007. Although both were in PDP. The court agreed that Amaechi's name was deliberately removed and Omehia replaced him in the primaries. |
Politics / Re: UK: Nigeria’s Anti-corruption Fights Frustrated By EFCC, Others by MacLovington(m): 12:17pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
Pascopele:Ethno-religious bigotry is our biggest problem. If we do not shield people based on tribe/religion we can fight corruption. Even if GEJ had paved the streets of Nigeria with gold, the tribes who believe the own Nigeria wouid still have crufied him. Since he wouid not be errand boy for power brokers from those tribes. That was why they first gave him a chance. To use him. But he refused. What stops Buhari from creating a new effective agency and gradually scrap the rest? Did OBJ go to hell or heaven to bring EFCC or ICPC? The Shell BP oil man, Justin Welby who now Archbishop of Canterbury is doing great PR for Buhari. Nonsense. 2 Likes |

1Sharon:My dear by the time you can smell it, imagine Richter scale of odour others can perceive. My dear I have been to around 40 countries across continents. My dear I can perceive something close to about 80% of people. And I am sure many talking here on NL will fall into that category. Fact. |

1Sharon:Which means the day you rush out without using deodorant and you have been sweating in the heat someone might label you as unhygienic. Fact is you never know. Unless someone tells you either way. Remember too that women's sense of smell on average is three times better than a guy's. Your male buddy might not perceive anything but your female co-worker might. |

Platony:You cannot smell your own odour easily. It is part of you. No matter how much you check. You can smell another person's pheromone for example but not yours. Key is to be thorough with hygiene. But still not 100 guaranteed. Fact. |

MissJoy29:Upon which authority do you claim to know that every girl out there is like the hostel girls? The girl in question lives in a comfortable family home. Some people actually see people and their "organs" up close for a living daily to know. Sure hygiene is important. Many oyinbo bathe like twice or thrice a week. And do not have much BO. It is something many black people find hard to adhere to in diaspora. When told by a dermatologist to wash twice a week. When it comes to the body, nature plays a far bigger role than what we think we are doing right. You need to remember that you have more microbial organisms in your body than the number cells that make up the whole of your body. How many can you wash WELL away? The fact remains that in modern times excellent perfumes masks many things. |
Romance / Re: Between Mouth Odour And Body Odour Which One Can You Manage In A Relationship? by MacLovington(m): 8:41pm On Mar 03, 2019 |
The fact is most who have it do not know. Even. Some replying that they cannot tolerate it might even have it. Only that nobody wants to embarrass them by saying so. Most who have either wash well daily and brush well too. Not as simple as people put it. I know of one very clean young lady in her 20s who has body odour. Like a typical African lady, if anything she probably washes too often, probably even with medicated soap. Same applies to VJ odour, unless due to infection. It is more about balance of flora than lack of hygiene. 5 Likes |
Webmasters / Re: How Can I Improve My Sales? by MacLovington(m): 7:33pm On Mar 03, 2019 |
The first question is: are your goods and brand actually in demand in the location and among the demographics you are targetting with your social media ads? Once you have an HONEST answer to that, you can then seek various ways to shift your goods. Including e-commerce and physical presence. 1 Like |

octopusfreaky:Very true@finger. Yet some of the guys now jetting out sang the same song of better Nigeria years back. Around the boom of Jonathan's govt, some even boasted how they just bought a new car and how if you have money you can secure your constant light with gen and life is good. I was just listening silently. One even got slightly upset because of my silence. After all I never said 9ja was not good to start with. And I never boast or flaunt whatever little I have to friends. I'd rather reveal more to strangers I will never meet again. No chance of envy. You know some guys show this attitude of "we are also making it here in 9ja" out the blue when on phone with them. Now they are Jetting out.. I encourage people to stay put especially after a certain age though. But individuals have to decide where to spend their future based on what they now know. If you must stay 9ja and you can kill your conscience, then better join politics. 1 Like 1 Share |

octopusfreaky:I laugh. Many have invested that money and much more. Same Nigerians ran it down. From Diaspora experience. Same people you created job for, siphoned the money and collapsed the business. A Nigerian lady that returned to build a hotel at Ojodu Berger was murdered by her employees earlier this year. After 35 years of hardwork in UK. Na today? All those I know leaving unanimously say they are doing it for their kids' future. 2 Likes |

If you fold up, sack employees and depart with a minimum (Canada PR for example) of 10m Naira, for a family of 5 including extra cash, that's big cash and brain drain. But people think it's just about winning election. Real people and companies are taking decisions that impact on millions of lives when combined. |

Pragmatic politics at all cost might be good. For the immediate benefit. But posterity is a far stricter judge. Across the world, statues of many who played pragmatism and supported slavery, racism, apartheid and other now retrospectively heinous acts, are being pulled down, defaced or rejected. Rhodes and Ghandi for example. I believe in being principles. Though it might be costly and painful short term. 1 Like |

Imagine the conconbility. The friend might just be very naive to think it is part of general fun. The groom should have retreated a bit. Women who betray their friends usually do not show themselves like this. They are slow poison and sent killers. On the other hand what kind of does the bride flock with? Ones shameless enough to deliberately and publicly show her interest in a friend's groom? Never outshine the bride is the key when invited to a wedding. That shouid include both dress code and dance. |

While at the same time she opens her legs one in Brazil and the other in Australia for one good for nothing jobless gigolo. Na today? Abstinence is good if both parties want it.
