TravelRe: A Nairalander Needs Advice On Which Country To Relocate To. by MacLovington(m): 1:58am On Feb 08, 2019
optimusprime2:
No problem bro,
Just know that as far as Europe is concerned;

1- if you do not have strong family ties to an EU citizen I.e father or mother(even siblings don't cut it these days)
2-if you aren't going there for studies(this option is even very limited, because in most EU countries as soon as you finish your program, you are usually ushered out)
3-if your spouse isn't European....
Then no way.
Forget about what people say, There's no way you can immigrate to any European country to live and work... I repeat No other way- currently, the EU is blocked to immigration... ask any body.

Like I said explore South America for opportunities, Costa-Rica is not a bad destination as well, but do your research, see what fits your plan and what you can do.
In addition I could give you some pointers,

depending on your funds, you could try South Korea; apply to a language school/institute, get accepted, visit Korea and see how well you learn Korean, if you get a good hold of Korean language, then there are opportunities that pay well as regards to your profession, otherwise there are industrial blue collar jobs in factories or the manufacturing sector that you could run while as a student. If you are a good budget planner, then you could have some useful savings.

I would have said Turkey, but... I have my reasons about always telling people to think seriously again about Turkey before choosing, however if you can brave it, find a school in Turkey and apply for either a language program (TOMER) or a regular graduate program, obtain a visa and see what Turkey offers, take note; the hussling period in Turkey is always during the summer period which is usually from Jun-September. However with the current strength of the Turkish lira the most you can make a month is barely 500usd, of which you would spend part for upkeep, but the good side of Turkey is the low cost of living generally.

As for China, you have to be business savvy if you want to go to China for husslin, besides China is a society that is not politically correct, I.e you remain second class as long as you are black or African, so certain jobs that you could have easily done (like teaching English) wouldn't be available to you, I have seen Ukrainians with poor English proficiency teach English in China and get paid well, just because they are glowing white with blue eyes... lol! China for you... However if you are physically endowed, muscular, athletic and tall, it could work to your favour as the Chinese believe Blacks are physically gifted ... you could teach sports or physical education in China, so how do you go?
Simple, apply to a language institute in a 1st Tier city in China, get accepted and you could be on your way. However this is a capital intensive plan.

Have you also considered African countries?
Botswana, Namibia and Angola as regards to your profession?
Like I said, do your research, there could be something for you.

If you feel you have the endurance for an adventure that could be thrilling, stressful, expensive but eventful at the end... research about Fiji, it's a tiny Island in the Pacifics... you could end up in New Zealand depending on the outcome of the adventure, however because of how far these places are, there's a fine chance you may not return to Nigerian soil in a looooooooong while. Lol.

Lastly if people (especially agent's) recommend the gulf region for you I.e Dubai, Qatar, Oman... my brother "Jump and Pass"...

So far, these are the few suggestions I can pop to you, but please, do your research.

Best of luck.
You try my brother. Very detailed.

True. If you don't mind living a bit away from Central areas, you will get a 3-bedroom flat, ensuite, fenced, borehole etc for about 100 to 120k/year in Benin.

Foodstuff from the many markets are cheap.

myspnigeria: cool destinations....i wish the government cld spend more on tourism
.

True.

There are many ways to promote tourism in 9ja but oil has made our leaders too lazy to think or do anything.

For example the cost of obtaining Nigeria Visa here at 9ja HC in London is enough to buy a ticket with a budget airline to Morocco.

And Europeans need no Visa. Same with Tunisia. I have visited those places.

What about £20 or £30 visa fee payable on arrival? With each tourist must have at least £750 minimum to spend.

Uganda and some other countries do it like that.

OKOMU park is really good. Back in the 80s some Europeans working there used to buy off live animals from locals in areas just outside the park and release them into the park.

imas: Haba Oga? 30% ? where the statistics come from?
.

So you have not been following developments in paternity test scene.

Dey there.

Lots of women now work. Affairs at work place are now common.

Some women are also keeping boyfriends they had before marriage.

Social media: fb, 2go, flickr and so on now offer ample opportunities to showcase yourself and find admirers.

More women now have boyfriends or even husbands living abroad or in another city within same country. Bf needed to fill the vacuum.

Then there's poverty & greed. More women want fine things: latest smart phone, fine wardrobe, high-end Brazilian hair etc. Sometimes a side bf or sugar daddy is needed to augment income as regular bf or boyfriend can't provide enough.

Of course many ladies out there would want us to believe that the above don't happen.

If you have concrete evidence AND he's a dear friend plus you're certain that the lady won't change and may even bring pregnancy from outside then think about letting him know.

But let him discover the evidence by himself, stay out of it.

The woman can claim that you slept with her too or you attempted to (even if just to ruin your friendship) should she be kicked out.

If what you have is only a suspicion without evidence, please MYOB.

Women & men are cheating right, left and centre, nothing new.

FYI: According to statistics 30% of kids don't belong to who they think is their biological dad and rises to 50% among first born kids ("I'm pregnant, we must marry soon" syndrome).

brownlord: This is a new version, well i'm not going to argue on this as i have little or no knowledge but i doubt if the crown prince and the oba do see, except you can explain the meaning of what happened 2012 when the crown prince was welcome to the palace and a big celebration this cause.
.

You may not be aware but the crown prince was an ambassador of 9ja to many countries, his last assignment was as ambassador in Rome, Italy.

The Oba is now 91 years old, I think about time the crown prince came home.

The current Oba also resigned from his position as permanent secretary to the Cabinent office running Yakubu Gowon's bureaucracy as head of state, to be closer to his dad, Oba Akenzua II about a year before the 1975 coup. Oba Akenzua lived for about 5 more years.

Nothing new about the coming home of the crown Prince when the Oba is old.

You will remember that when HRH The Eleko came to visit the Oba last year, he was received by the crown prince.

You also remember the furore over whether the Oba received GEJ or Shunned him at the palace last year.

At the age of about 90, most people would have health challenges.

NOTE: There's even a DVD of Iken story courtesy of Bennywood/Nollywood. Grab your copy now. grin

brownlord: He sent a word to his father, that is time for him to ascend throne, and the father also replied him by sending native chalk and salt to him saying "just as you are enjoying life, same with me"

It's true Oba does not see the heir to the throne, but the jinx have been broken now, the crown prince and the present Oba did that I think in 2012
.

Correction:

I have posted this b4 on another NL thread.

The crown prince and the Oba do see. There was never a jinx. It was mere pragmatism to broaden the prince's "education" and preparation for the crown.

In any case the Crown Prince only began to live outside the wall surrounding Benin about 500 years back.
And it came about like this:

There was a nobleman and warrior called Iken. He lived at Uselu, which was a different town back then but has now grown to meet Benin proper.

The Oba requested Iken to go to war in Yorubaland. He was already relatively "old" and had no sons.
He made only one request: that His Majesty should please ensure his household was well looked after as he had no son. It's like Iken had a premonition.

The Oba assured him that the Crown Prince no less would personally look after his household in his absence.

But Iken died in the war.

As a permanent memorial to Iken the Oba decreed that every crown prince upon reaching maturity should live at Iken's palace until becoming king. And so it is till today.

Oba Akenzua II (educated at King's College Lagos) was secretary to his father (Oba Eweka II). Until Eweka II departed in 1933.

That Oba & Crown prince don't see is a total myth.

Many of my people are dukes of the Kingdom and palace chiefs.
