That's the last thing on my mind, atm... I dunno, I might change when I meet girls who aren't as superficial and empty as most of the girls out there right now... Anyway, I'll be on the look-out for you to gauge what you're about...
You'd do well to listen to Mama......we men see fine face, pert azz and pneumatic chesticles...mothers see more in a woman.Of course you don't wanna be dragged fighting and kicking to marry Saliatu.. but don't dismiss her opinion outright. |
adaobi123:. Well Ada, you'd be a good candidate....afterall you've got just a few more years at uni. ![]() |
Afam4eva: American chikalas just know how to express themselves while British girls are bored and stiff to the core. They're not social.. Afam the International socio-anthroplogy expert. Where did you hear all this? From the grapevine? I have dated both British and American girls (caucasians). People are just individuals and can be reserved or bubbly, not because of nationality. |
adaobi123:. Ada you be Jim Iyke wey dey wear goggle for night? |
adaobi123: SE as in south east London ?You see by coincidence SE Naija just match SE London, what else can one ask for? But in this case I mean Ndigbo babes. ![]() The babes dey hot sha. |
Afam4eva: You London boys and woman sha. Could it be because British ladies are too self absorbed as alluded by Russel Peters.. No Afam. We just like SE babes! So you wan leave all the omalincha in Aba Ngwa come follow us drag some for here too? |
I'm not a "London defender" per se - I was just trying to educate the American-anthem-crying Afam that America is just hype...
.You know Afam like playing the devil's advocate! Don't let Eze gburu gburu of NL wind you up. |
adaobi123: I'm bored. Ada baby how far na? I can keep you entertained. Just jump into a black cab and head towards the square mile...lol ![]() |

Very good points there by Sagewood and amanikondo. Already doing some of those: multiple quotations, trying to do it in phases etc. |
Ok keep it coming guys. I can only stay about 10 days when I come home. It doesn't usually coincide with my projects. It has been for a funeral or some other reasons. Perhaps better planning then. In the past, I got projects done remotely with minimal inflation (I hope) but it's something else these days. There is the impression in some quarters that money is easy to make here. I am an impulsive person, if I get the money, I want to invest it before I divert it to something else. |
Donkonyon: O And u forgot to add dat while women are always looking out for committment, men prefers freedom.Good point. Women are left with pregnancy/baby as a result of opening their legs. So they seek a man who can help them with the calorie-intensive journey of child-upbringing. Time was when we had to hunt and gather. You needed a man to commit to this hardwork. So the commitment that women want from men is an ur-survival instinct both for self and upspring. Whereas a man can sow seeds everywhere, a single child takes a woman over 16 to 20 years to raise. |
bukatyne: If men were created to be polygamous, then God is a wicked God to punish humans for adultery and fornication.. God did not punish Abraham for having Haggai, nor David except for adultery. Solomon was punishded for idolatory not polygamy. Monogamy is a fairly new concept, precisely since Jesus' time. That people were punished for fornication there's no physical evidence. In Naija of today about 95% of people commit fornication before marriage so who are we fooling? We should all be dead by now if that was the case. |
Jenticles: ReallyVery unique name babe! Hopefully complimented with fine chesticles and butticles ![]() |
The more women know about male biology, the better. This biology ensured that mankind survived and dinosaurs did not. Male bio-programming took 1000s of years to evolve, so 60-120 years of vaccines, 50 years of the pill, just some decades of prosperity and modernisation is not enough to change all. |
These lines are much more grey than these. Anyone can be in any category and criss-cross depending on circumstances. The first question: is the male species a monogamous one? My answer is No. Some can be, others can be sometimes. So any man of any race: JFK, Clinton, Dino Melaye, Baba Onikeke, Papa Nkechi etc all are capable of cheating and not cheating. One has to take a conscious non-biological decision not to cheat. Spreading seed is a powerful subconscious drive. Which was very useful to procreate as nature did not invent contraception (breastfeeding for 6 months to 1 year aside). So don't fool yourself. I just can't have 2 women at the same time, but a lot of men are not so and I am not better or worse than others. |

Dear NLers, Building a house is a major project for anyone. As a very busy employee in diaspora, going home to build by oneself is often difficult. I tend to rely on friends and family. However, the latest experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. When I decided to double check some quotations like labour cost, I found it to be about 40 to 60% inflated. Don't get me wrong, I know there's no free lunch in Freetown. I expect maximum 15% inflation (price to pay for having no time) but up to 60% is incredible. There are some projects I lost out on when I noticed rip off approaches before I even started. Also I give money to the relative/friend after each phase of work (though not officially agreed on) to avoid over-inflation but to no avail. Double or even tripple checking quotations is causing friction. A project that should cost about 10m could end up costing nearly double. So NLers home and abroad what's the best approach to this matter? Please relate your experiences and solutions that helped here. Apart from giving it to builders. |
