mbhs139: You are wrong bro. The same person is in the same all pics. The Oba of Benin don't seat nor see eye-ball to eye-ball with another Oba. It's a taboo.. Ol' boy where did you hear that? When the Oba of Benin paid a nationwide thank-you visit to all the Obis, Obas, Emirs etc who came to his coronation, you mean he sent a body double? I had some relatives in his convoy. Maybe you were not even born then. |
WildChild00: National youth service corps, should not be scrapped, this is one of the only means whereby youths across the nation can get to meet each other, exchange ideals, culture etc today the case might be different due to one or two occurance in some region of the country, perhaps as a result of political instability, Nysc is meant to bring peace and unity among corp members especially during their community development program.. You don't have to crisscross your country to be patriotic or get ideas. All those Farook and thieves in government did NYSC and it didn't make them better people. Most countries don't it. Instead it should be a community service programme. You can apply to serve anywhere nationwide from kindergarten to NNPC or national assembly. NYSC should only help those who cannot secure their own places to serve BUT should shed its paramilitary toga. |

kaflex: This plot of land is dry and in good location where people are already living, its a genuine land with good title.noted |

ceasare: @maclovington: ur email is not correct cos i kp getting failure delivry tryn 2 send u a mail.you can mail me @ gothamprojects at hotmail dot com .My brother sorry. Email: mac.lovington@yahoo.com And for the 1/4 plot is it 30 x 15 or what's the dimension? Is Agbara in Lagos or Ogun state? |
Phonon: Scientist? He should examine one of those lions that are starving in our zoos all over the country, then he is a scientist, sorry, zoologist.ZOOLOGY IS NOT REALLY SCIENCE.. Ol' boy, you sure say you know anything about science so? A zoologist must be confident with biology, microbiology (bacteriology, virology, mycology etc), phylogenetics, molecular biology, taxonomy, biochemistry, plant science, animal anatomy/physiology. He needs these tools and more in his research. I had colleagues at uni reading zoology and they were very good in science. Although it was in Europe but I think it can't be different in Naija. |
@Op, for the negotiable 700k Agbara standard plots, please email all details (title documents, survey costs, + pictures to: maclovington@yahoo.com Also state if there's light in the area. Are people building around there already? |
oshea44: this is fcukest problem, i am always having with my people, u go to another peoples country, u start forming over sabi and bullshit, now if the South African police kick their ass now, We start complaining, why is South African police after Nigerians alone? cos their behaviour is terrible. Period. SA police van dragged a Mozambican along a tarred road, with policemen jogging behind the van. Simply evil and heartless. It is not only Naija. Except you only rely on Nairaland for your information. Mandela is the respect they now have. After him, their social situation and divisions will become obvious like anywhere else. |
funnyx: The report didn't state that he was chased by the police but by 'some men'. He must have had some dealings with these men otherwise they can't just single him out for a chase for no reason.. Plain clothes policemen arrested a SA woman and her friends just days ago, asking why she had Nigerian friends and threatened the girls with r.ape in detention. After fabricating charges against them, trashing their flat etc. The killers could easily have been bent policemen. WE NEED TO WAKE UP AND RECONSIDER OUR TIES WITH SA. |
AjanleKoko: Haba MallamSo you never heard of fellow Africans being chased down the streets with machetes? Did Lucky Dube killers say they thought he was Nigerian or not? One thing about Naija people is that until themselves or family members suffer injustice, they have no sympathy for others especially if the victims have no tribal/religious ties with them. |
bidis: most nigerians in abroad always tarnish our image wit thier illegal activities i pity those gud ones outthere. What a silly comment. If "most" Nigerians were doing that Nigerians everywhere would have been driven out by now. People I know here are medics, IT experts, civil servants, all cadres of workers, all tax-paying honest people. Don't be brain-washed. Have you ever seen a write up or documentary showing talented Nigerian surgeons abroad? No. Yet I know some here. Have you ever seen a documentary/write up about Nigerian criminals abroad? I bet you have. Don't be brain-washed. |
AjanleKoko: This is obviously a drug slaying or some other dirty deal gone awry. You mean like Lucky Dube who was thought to be a Nigerian? Just listen to yourself. I have never been to SA and I have no intention of going. |
successking: Are Nigerians the only national that engages in drug business in SA?Imagine that Lucky Dube was actually an innocent Nigerian, no body would have believed it. |
I think FG should forget silly diplomacy and seriously consider partly evacuating Nigerians in SA and limit diplomatic relations. But they won't because they have too much stolen money in SA. If Lucky Dube was indeed a Nigerian (however innocent he was)as his killers thought, everybody would have branded him a real drug dealer. South Africans like to blame others for their woes, it was whites, now it's fellow Africans. We need to face African reality in Nigeria today. There is no Pan-Africanism, it's a mere dogma and wishful thinking. It's dog eat dog. Smearing Naija's image using any minor misdemeanour of a Nigerian makes other Africans feel good about themselves. The West know that too. Disparaging a major African country would affect the self-confidence of all Africans. They try to big up some Lilliputian African countries that have no clout (and cannot become too influential/powerful) and would always do their bidding (if only out of gratitude). In Naija we know our problems and we criticise ourselves more than any other country. No question of us being in denial. Remember: Nigeria sacrificed so much goodwill and economic opportunities by vehemently opposing Apartheid. Even as a school boy I went hungry a few times because I gave my school lunch money to people collecting money to fight Apartheid. That was a normal thing in those days. |
If somebody dating a pastor could not avoid such a grave sin, then there's hardly any hope. Fast fast break up with the pastor. Have the child and give it to those who really can't have one. Or do you want to drive your sugar daddy's wife away and marry him? Op someone like you will also condemn a roadside ashawo, how's yours different? You have a job, yet for you were forking a married man. Speechless. |
segzy14: @ maclovingtonThis Kuje land, what documents has it? Is it buildable now? Is there electricity/road in the area? |
Nigeria was never set up to succeed. I don't know when people are going to realise it. Without sacrifice and bloodshed in such magnitude that people can build up from the ruins and finally decide who wants to be with whom, your grandchildren will still be lamenting in 2063, that is 50 years from today. We are currently just sleepwalking with churches and mosques everywhere we think God will just do it (come down from heaven). We have abdicated our struggle to move forward as a people. Only vanity and individual pursuit of wealth by any means. |
The building, how many rooms? What documents do you have? any picture of the plot? mac.lovington@yahoo.com |

etunoman76: I saw ur post on d properties section, but I think I'm on suspension. Funny enough, all I did was to post some of d properties I have like I told u. After posting, I wanted to add another that I forgot and that's it. Im still trying to understand why I got suspended there.. Yeah you can post it here or email to: mac.lovington@yahoo.com |
etunoman76: I have a couple there@Kuje and other areas here in Abuja if u are still interested. Thank u!. Etunoman76, What offensive stuff did you post above that made it to be hidden by mods? Lol. |
Very bad. But do people still believe in free things/money coming their way just like that? |
plendil: The practise is common among the TIVs (Benue State). From what I learned, it was common in one part of Benue, but has changed long ago. Now it's just individual indescretion. It's like saying a certain Naija tribe romoured to eat people is actually a widespread practice today when infact it was an isolated preactice in the past. |
makelove2m: Let anyman who is clean and free from adultry first cast the stone on the woman, When it come to a woman, it becomes NEWS, Abeg make we hear something jareh. Jesus doesn't allow us to cast the stone BUT apart from that I have never committed adultry. I don't know what kind of married men you mix with. You need to start mixing with decent men. Plenty of temptations yes. But was Jesus not tempted? |
babyosisi: I love it when folks fall for all my twisted humorWhich part of Edo allows it? In Edo State single girls can be liberal and date any guy irrespective of tribe BUT after marriage you cannot mess about. For thoses that do it away abroad (Italy & Spain mostly), the man back home will have effectively married another woman back home and only uses her money to live good. When she returns she will realise that she has no husband waiting for her. These stories abound. |
supaeagles: Here's my double like for your astute observation .. She brought the man to her own house to sleep with her. She was even seen calling the man to come. Both are wrong but there is no history of polyandry in Naija or the bible. But plenty of polygamy in our culture. I don't support polygamy but to every man his own. |

gtrust: Interesting topic and very interesting write-up here!. Very good points made. It is not rocket science. Standard is not the problem. It is nothing elusive. It is just dishonesty. If you know that 10 men can set x number blocks a day and you then tell your relative abroad upfront that you need 30 men to do it, it's just daylight robbery. If you know that labour to plaster a bungalow is 150k and you claim it's 310k, it's not due to standard. If you measure the surface area of a bungalow to tile to be 336sqm and you demand money claiming the size is 778 sqm, you're a rogue. These are the kind of rip off I am talking about. In the past, I have seen people asking for 120k instead of 105k that was actually quoted (through checks), I usually just did as if I didn't know and paid 120k. There was even a time eons ago when I used to add 10% to every quotation I got from a close relative as commission (not agreed on, but out of appreciation). He began well. Later, he wasn't even spending 50% of money sent on the project. He was pocketing most of the money plus commission. In those days no internet, no mobile phone. Analogue Nitel phone line was unreliable. So verifying things was hard unless you travel by yourself. |
