Chinwem: The most pertinent question here is how did she achieve such a feat?
She's been in Nigeria all along doubt it was naturalization?? , marriage to a citizen ??
.

That would make a good topic for a thesis. NOT.

Ada Nwam, I have always suspected that you like Dr Who (time warp thingz). grin

Karen Igho as Edo girl, you have taken us back to 1400 AD (pre-migration) when her ancestors would have been Edo people.

But since we're in 2013 AD, please promptly assign her to Delta where she belongs.

I don't think Edo people are desirous of hot air balloons at the moment. grin

But you're still correct though as she's anthropologically and language wise (phililogically) Edoid.

Guys, let's rep NL in numbers at Craven cottage?

Anyone going to see Supers Eagles apart from gbosaa?

But is NFF so desperate to play Italy to schedule this game for 18th, just 2 days after Ethiopia?
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Italy - International Friendly: (2 - 2) On 18th November 2013 by MacLovington(m): 3:03pm On Nov 12, 2013
Afam4eva: I don't know why despite Nigeria's huge population in London, our fans have difficulty making their presence felt when we play in London. I remember when we played ghana some years back in London, there were more Ghanian fans than Nigerian fans yet we have more population than them in London. If it's Nottinghill festival now, they'll attend.
.

As against what many haters like to believe, most Nigerians in UK are gainfully employed. I know of a Naija guy keen to see the match but has a along theatre list that afternoon and an outpatient clinic next morning. I guess there are thousands more like that.

If they would engage in all manner of things except hard work and then gallivant about any Naija game and what not, you will be the first to crucify them and call them jobless.

I will go because I happen to have that afternoon off.

Except there is an epidemic or the eater is seriously immuno-compromised, the bacterial or viral load from touching/eating boli is very unlikely to cause any harm.

You see, the bacteria that she would transfer to the food is already probably part of your own commensal flora, i.e harmless microbes in your mouth, nose, gut, skin etc. Staph aureus comes to mind.

However, it can be contagious if faecal-oral pathogens come in. Someone suffering from bacterial/viral enteritis or dysentery uses the toilet and doesn't wash hands with soap properly, dirty water etc, it can enter your food. E.coli and salmonella, cholera, typhoid are prime examples.

@OP, I hope you don't have OCD. Lol.

@OP.

Lol. Maybe men are not as superficial as some women like to believe.

Maybe fine face, long nails and make up is not all that guys really want.

Could it be that so-called "beautiful" girls rely too much on their looks and REFUSE to work on their character and attitude?

At the end of the day a man who doesn't want to go to early grave would stick with an "average" looking girl with good character, manners and is a wife material.

But PEP needs to start as soon as possible, certainly under 72 hours post exposure to be really effective.

Assuming the doctor complied with is ARV drugs/low viral load, the lady not already immunosupressed from illness, no STI and no open sores in privates (lady & doctor) and it wasn't repeated molestation, and not brutal penetration causing wound etc, her chances of contracting HIV would be under 1 in 100.

But that's just statistics. These things vary and you never can tell.

FamilyRe: How Much Should A Potential Nigerian Husband Earn? by MacLovington(m): 7:59pm On Oct 24, 2013
bukatyne: On a serious note...

With the replies on this thread, I wonder if we are all in this same 'Nigeria!'

How many people's take home pay is above N150,000 or N100,000 monthly?

How many people work in Chevron, Mobil and other high paying organizations?

Some people earn N100,000 monthly with 3 kids and they still buy cars, build houses and train all their kids through school. Fine, they might not achieve all at once but they do.

Let us be realistic please.
Let people dey yarn anyhow. Everybody na millionaire for NL. Even the job applicants in real life. I know of many professionals in Europe. Many cannot boast of N1million take home equivalent per month.

They still pay their bills, sponsor relatives to school at home, look after elderly relatives and still put up a building or two in Naija.
FamilyRe: How Much Should A Potential Nigerian Husband Earn? by MacLovington(m): 4:04pm On Oct 24, 2013
Fadelex: what d husband is earning is not even d issue but how he is able to manage it. I've seen people earning 200k but couldn't account for somethin reasonable they did with d money while some earn just 50k and could cater for their needs. but a potential husband earning should be enuf to pay rent, feed 3 people, and pay utility bills.
u want figure?? no figure is enuf, d more u earn d greater ur responsibilities
.

That's a bit superficial. Suppose the one earning 200k/month has 3 junior ones at University that he funds, how will he have any savings or achieve anything?

If the one officially on 50K per month gets 300k kickback per month and has no extended family responsibilities, how will he not achieve more material stuff?

We judge people too much on material things without knowing how they do it.

Any wonder people are trying to amass wealth by any means and crime is so much?

The North have ruled the country legally(democratically) and illegally (military) for 37 out of the 53 years. The South is very comfortable with this inequality.
Sadly, 80 per cent of Southerners who see this article will not read it!

When you consider the high level of crime next door in Mexico, Cruz (who might even have Mexican connections) should worry less about us. At least we're thousands of miles away.

He should worry about his people across the border because their crime will not be petty email scam targeting some brainless and gullible people but physical ones when they cross over.

Hey Mexicans are not black and I guess he'll accept that.

Is there any country without bad people? Show me that "Garden of Eden" country. Home grown American terrorists (like McVeigh in Oklahoma) and American criminals (NY & Chicago Mafia), alcohol smugglers, scam artists have existed in US before Boko Haram, Oyenusi or Anini came into existence. Boko being only a few years ago.

So if anything they have led the criminal way.

berem: Whether Ted Cruz represents stupidity or not,do you think he is the first foreigner who uses nigerian criminality as a reference to make a point? I don't think he is the first neither will he be the last. For him to mention nigeria scammers in his comment,it is an insult.
.
It doesn't mean we should just allow them to smear our name. Is America not a country with high criminality? Which crimes are worse than the incessant shooting, including teenagers?

India has a high level of ra*pe but Westerners dare not taunt them with it.
Many countries carry out honour killing, but Westerners dare not overblow it.

But Westerners also know that some Africans have sufficient "self-loathing" (WHICH THEY LIKE TO TELL US IS HONESTY) and thorough brainwash that no matter how vile their insult, they will always find some blacks supporting biased white opinion.

Is there any scientific study to show the percentage of Nigerians into 419?

If even 2.5% (about 4.25 million) of Nigerians were into 419, don't you think they could paralyse world economy?
Nigerian scammers have never paralysed world economy, American banks (hyper-scammers) have.
PoliticsRe: US Senator Insults Nigeria In A bid To Mock Obama. by MacLovington(m): 7:23am On Oct 23, 2013
ogugua88: No, I don't understand it at all. The topic is the US president and the failing ACA website, not Nigerians. The president didn't hire rogue Nigerians to run his website. So again, which truth?

Because a slowpoke like Ted Cruz mentioned 419ers doesn't mean we should ignore his stupidity and in fact glorify him for speaking nonsense you and others are distorting as truth. If only you knew the kind of stupidity he represents, then you wouldn't call anything from his rotten lips truth.

My sister you no surprise?

Do we keep taunting Americans with Madoff and Ponzi over unrelated matter? No we don't.

Even though Bernard Madoff and the Italian-American (Ponzi) represent the worst form of scam ever invented by single individuals.
What about all the Banking scams, rate fixing etc by mostly American Banks that caused worldwide recession that has affected all of us?

Some people are just pathetic and silly at the same time.

Though, it's not his fault, rather, that of some st*pid idiots who can't figure out ways to live apart from scamming unsuspecting victims.
Bernard Madoff, possibly one of the single biggest scammers known to man, is he Nigerian? No he's American.

Where was this bigot when Madoff was "making off" with $50 billion ? Such rich scammers are acceptable to him and his co-hort.

You must be very young. You were possibly not born yet in the second republic and perhaps very young in third republic.

Ethnic and religious bigotry in politics has always been there. Worse since 1970s. In fact since Biafra war.

What united them was corruption, quest for power and born-to-rule mantra. If any of them had anything to offer we won't be where we're now. You don't have to live till 100 years to make a difference.

Granted Abiola was a superbly intelligent guy with uncommon business acumen BUT his ITT corruption history, buying delegates' vote in presidential primary and coup sponsorship cast great doubt over him.

After taking orders from Buhari, Tinubu is suddenly talking from both sides of his mouth regarding National Conference.

I knew this APC merger would enslave ACN leadership.
FYI Tinubu, 15 months is enough to soak the country in more blood like Buhari promised, so that timeframe is all we have to avoid it.

Nothing progressive about those Abokis they have pitched their tent with.

Even after taking orders, he still ought to realise his hypocrisy.

You call for SNC for like 20 years and now we suddenly might have the closest thing ever and you talk about timing.

Oh GEJ just caught him unawares with this announcement.

Well 2015 national elections in Oodua Republic or Arewa Boko Republic would not be a bad idea, would it?

I am not a fan of GEJ but SW people tend to regard loud and boastful people as smart. A quiet and cunning person like GEJ they call a dunce.

Immediately our people get their "pali" in Holland, Germany, France, etc, trust me, na UK dem dey go straight. Do a little research about this. No dull yourself.
.

Most do so because of their kids or future kids. The idea is if my kids can't speak Efik, Yoruba, Bini, Igbo etc, at least let them be fluent in English or better stll be native English speakers and have more probality of "connecting" better if they go to Naija.

Some also do so because they never really learnt the local language and feel more at home in UK.
