I miss your point, you miss my point. you don't get my point my reference. I understand that the Nigerian educational system needs serious revamping. THAT can be agreed upon. My thing is: its not enough to hold the government responsible. WE (micons ) the private individuals/teachers/students/investors that make up the macro (educational system) also have to be responsible for the revamping of the system as well. Essence is that holding the government responsible is not enough and will not do any justice. (thats my school of thought. ) |
Ruby_Pearl : are you toyinrayo? |
the horrible state of the public education system?America too has a failing public education system. |
No, Thanks for asking. We friends and thats it. I guess, he realizes that I don't like him and have moved on. We have a hi and bye relationship. He claims to have done what he did because he thot I had feelings for him and was trying to make me jealous, but after months of ignoring such nonsense, he got tired and he's moved on as well. Never knew that people could be soo petty. |
SAT does not measure knowledge. Its ONLY an aptitude test for christ sake. Practice well enough and u'll do well. |
Even with your so called definition of "failing educational system" Nigerians are smarter than Americans. Nigerians rank as one of the most educated immigrant group in the world. Nigerians value education, despite corruption and all, Don't be fooled. |
You''re hinting at the point that i'm trying to make. its best to stick with a man that's broke at the moment and trying to finish his education when you yourself know you're in the same stage as he is. Fight the storm with him. Don't try to go for older men just because they've got the dough.I feel that most Nigerian women at 23-24yrs old, are dying to get married as a result, don't want young boys, (their age mate) they want someone who has made it so that they can quickly marry. But relatively, the old man has not made enough for his age. |
Before you react ignorantly or make uselesss statements. I'll examine your previous post. You seem to hold the government responsible for the failing educational system in Nigeria. But i'm informing you that, its a WRONG approach to take. The public school in America is failing. Americans also hold the government responsible but we know that if you can afford PRIVATE schools, u're better off. Don't let your ignorance cloud the judgement of an argument. Argue REASONABLY without resorting to insults or name calling. |
TRUTH IS SUBJECTIVE AND RELATIVE. ![]() |
Thee girl is NOT expensive. Its her lifestyle that you CANNOT afford. Why not try dating someone in your own league. Why hassle urself. |
I think that Nigeria follows the "foreign" way of things which may not necessarily work for Nigeria. |
In the U.S. you have the rise in catholic and private schools. The same goes for colleges and universities as well. |
Well then Nigeria is going through the same thing America is going through. Take the American school system for example, the public schools which are government owned are also not the best places to be. |
I think that brokeness is relative to age. For example, you don't expect a 23 year old guy to be financially stable. He's still working things out. BUT 23yr old women normally seek financially stable men, as a result look for older men (who also maybe poor relative to their age) BUT because these women are ready to get married, (based on the female socially acceptable age of marriage) they may not neccessarily consider this relativity, I've met men who say i have financial potential just give me TIME, and u're like how long am I willing to wait. |
what does that mean ? |
@ Kobojunkie, its obvious that the Nigerian government is doing everything WRONG!!!>. But I will say at least some people (Individuals with thier private assets/investments, ) have stepped up. There are soo many schools in Nigeria. It seems as though EVERYONE has a school. Paying for school and quality of the school, I think becomes more of the issue. (they also both go hand in hand, if you have a quality school, how many people can PAY for such quality) I mean look at CU: only certain people can afford it, and if you can't afford school fees that one term then BYE BYE, : ( Anyways sha, God help us all. |
He's old enough. ![]() |
I'm not sure if this is worth a new thread but I see lots of threads about Women wanting thier men/mate/or partner to be rich and no one wants a poor man, this and that. Man rich, implicit notion: its ok if a woman poor, man rich, this, and that, What do most men think but I'm quite certain that no man wants a woman whose a loser or a free loader. Plus I don't know why men say " a woman should be there for me when i'm poor, broke" I think those men are selfish. Find a woman when u're Comfortable. Don't punish ur partner. Anyways sha, my thing is just like Women don't like to be with broke men, i'm sure that men too don't like to be with broke women (I mean women who are potential mates/partners, not booty calls) Hope this makes some sort of sense but what do ýou think ? |
;d ;d ;d ;d |
Everyone lies. Nigerian men just illusion themselves to think that they can't be caught in thier sh%$ZZz6t ![]() |
@ poster : you can start by saying what color is ur underwear ? ![]() |
I don't know why people can't understand the f*()k&*ng theory that pastors are HUMAN Beings like everybody else. They are not gods. Although most Nigerians think that are. They have hormones and feelings like everyone else. |
I like Nnaji. She''s an absolute beautiful dark skinned actress thats making it. And I like that she won't take crap from anyone. I don't know how else to say this but VAN VICKER IS A HORRIBLE ACTOR. He's only in most movies because he's an half cast. Nnaji jo, more power to ur elbows!!! you are beautiful and an amazing actress. |
Freedom of speech is not allowed on Nairaland. Its ok to bash politicans and co but not ok to talk about so called preachers. Such nonsense. |
They also closed the one about Oyedepo. ![]() |
Our reporters won't get any protection if they broadcast anything thats too controversial, foreign reporters will get the neccesary information, leave the country, EDIT it well well to fit the argument they are trying to make and then broadcast it. |
Religion is a tool of OPPRESSION. ![]() |
Well, I'm not sure if the bible forbids such but I do remember the bible saying that strong wine and alcoholic beverages are not suitable for "Kings" I imagine in this day and age that "King"means leader/or someone who leads. |
@ Nameless: tell your pastor that he CAN touch you. At least he's touching you with the love of the Lord, |
LOL@ winners chapel plc, they might lock this thread shortly, so watch what you say !! ![]() |
I notice that the thread has been locked. What happened to freedom of speech ? (hisses) Nigerians sha, wonders shall never end |
@ Gamine, I'm not sure if u read the entire post. But even a winner's chapel member confirms this: think his Screen Name is Prizeless I 'm a winner and nobody prays In the God of Bishop Oyedepo. It is In the name of the of the God of Bishop David Oyedepo and there is nothing wrong with that. You hear phrases like the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of Job, the God of David and so on. This is because this men have identity with God and there are proofs backing this up. |
