Christianity EtcRe: In The God Of David Oyedepo ? Huh? by madamkoko(op): 11:58pm On Jul 08, 2008
I don't think that you understand the amount of influence churches and Pastors have on human beings in Nigeria. If you did, I don't think that u'll be talking like this.

What i'm saying is this, how can the people hold the government responsible if people are told the BEST they can do is PRAY for their leaders?
Christianity EtcRe: In The God Of David Oyedepo ? Huh? by madamkoko(op): 11:49pm On Jul 08, 2008
In the Nigerian Economy of 2008, I'd like to know where you will source for funds to provide free education at the same standard of Covenant University. Honestly.
At AKO, I don't think that CU should be free, of course not now!!! What I'm saying is, I wonder if they are scholarship opportunities for a few BRILLIANT POOR children. So that them too, can experience, the wealth of God after thier education.

Abi, won't Jesus help the poor.

Me too, I should become a PASTOR jare, so I that I can fly my private Jet around the world. Even if my neighbor has no food to eat.

Don't worry, you think Nigeria is suffering NOw. Wait till I become a Pastor. Even your Bag of Rice, you will bring it to church to me to eat.

For the most prayerful and most religious country in world, I'm SHOCKED at the pain and suffering the common man is going thru. It pains my heart for real.
Christianity EtcRe: In The God Of David Oyedepo ? Huh? by madamkoko(op): 11:37pm On Jul 08, 2008
but you can't blame the collapse of the nigerian educational sector on the man,we should be blaming our leaders

We should blame the leaders abi? , well in Nigeria, people are TOLD by PASTORS (OF ALL SORTs not just oyedepo) to be patient and pray for their leaders while they and thier children are suffering.

Continue to pray oh, while the educational sector suffers
Continue to pray, while blaming and wasting ur saliva,
like thats going to solve anything.

People need to be active and take charge instead of waiting for mere mortals to help them get to gawd for change to happen in thier lives. Shuch nonsense.
Christianity EtcRe: In The God Of David Oyedepo ? Huh? by madamkoko(op): 11:32pm On Jul 08, 2008
Most RICH PEOPLE IN Nigeria are not Religious Fools, think of it. (Yes, include the corrupt politicians, Yes and they continue to ENJOY thier lives and Spend OUR money. Kepp your eyes closed and keep praying oooh. Kepp on God will come down and work his magic. (hisses) )

Most religious folks who are RICH ARE PASTORS.
Christianity EtcRe: In The God Of David Oyedepo ? Huh? by madamkoko(op): 11:30pm On Jul 08, 2008
I have NOTHING against Oyedepo. He is a SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS MAN.

But I think Nigerians should stop FOOLING themselves when it comes to RELIGION/Christianity

Religion and Christianity has done nothing but ROBBED people of common human rights because they forget to think logically.
Christianity EtcRe: In The God Of David Oyedepo ? Huh? by madamkoko(op): 9:39pm On Jul 08, 2008

Nigerians are soo BUSY with Religion. That people actually IN the country are least concerned about these issues,

They are BUSY fasting and praying somewhere in the church, calling on God to work some magic or bring them abroad. Instead of them to be responsible for thier country grin grin grin grin grin

As long as the people expect God to work some magic, then CORRUPTION will continue to PREVAIL at thier expense.

There has to be a point whereby we are responsible for our country.
Christianity EtcRe: In The God Of David Oyedepo ? Huh? by madamkoko(op): 5:49pm On Jul 08, 2008
I wonder if Convenant University provides scholarships for POOR CHILDRENhuh?

What would Jesus do ? Help the poor abi.

People don't understand pastors are Humans and they have families and mouths to feed. They most importantly have Degrees in the Franchasing business model, thats what they study in bible school. How can my church have a growing branch. Not because of the souls, but because of the money.

I mean for everyone who starts a Winners branch, do you know how much that man is makinghuh?

If Jesus is king, let Jesus be king and not a mere mortal.
CultureRe: Zimbabwean Women by madamkoko: 5:12am On Jul 08, 2008
@ CH3COO

LOL!!! Maybe you have a point there. The migration of these women to from their country to other places like Nigeria, might be the reason for this trend. Who knows? But I won't be surprised.
PoliticsRe: President Yar'adua Should Resign! by madamkoko: 5:04am On Jul 08, 2008
Bush's economic policies favor huge corporations and the Rich and not the common American.

I was under the impression that the mortgage crisis/subprime lending ruined the economy,

Do you think that Genocide in Darfur now is just an ethnic warhuhhuh

CHINA is supporting the murder of the Sudanese villagers and places where OIL has been found. An African Country does not exist in a vaccum, this is not an excuse, its international politics.

Can Mugabe function without external forces, I mean look at his country.

You don't have to agree with me, but the facts are CLEAR. Nigeria DOES NOT exist in a Vaccum.
PoliticsRe: President Yar'adua Should Resign! by madamkoko: 4:48am On Jul 08, 2008
I mean take South Africa for example during the Apartheid movement, the People ORGANIZED and fought, for their freedom. But don't also forget the corporations and foreign governments that benefitted from Apartheid who didn't want it to end. In fact, some American college students at that time protested and said they wouldn't buy from those companies if they continued to support aparthied, ( some publishing companies and I think Coca cola were boycott)

But don't forget without the international coverage and support from Foreign countries do you think any thing would have happened?

To imagine that an African country (A COLONY) exists in a vacuum is absurd.

You can't talk about Nigerian politics and not talk about these external players.
PoliticsRe: President Yar'adua Should Resign! by madamkoko: 4:41am On Jul 08, 2008
@ Kobojunkie, Now I think that u're arguing BLINDLY. Might need to do more research on international policies,

Yes, the Nigerian government should be in everyway responsible for their citizens. America is. Europe is. But every country answers to a higher power. America: the saudis and China, In fact, most countries these days answer to China.
PoliticsRe: President Yar'adua Should Resign! by madamkoko: 4:26am On Jul 08, 2008
We should also not forget that Nigeria does not exist in a vaccum. There are international forces and witches, that in a very subtle way DICTATE who are next leader should be.

I don't mean witches the Nigerian way, I mean WESTERN forces, Chinese investments, Oil companies etc,
PoliticsRe: President Yar'adua Should Resign! by madamkoko: 4:25am On Jul 08, 2008
I agree, how can Nigeria change if the recycled old fools are still in power ?

Kobojunkie : you can't fix Nigeria using a corporate model. IMPOSSIBLE.

Lets work with what we have and make progress move slowly. At least, Yar ardua is not as corrupt as past presidents!!
RomanceRe: Why Do girls Prefer Qiute Guys. by madamkoko: 4:09am On Jul 08, 2008
Is it true that girls prefer quiet guys?? NO

I do not like MEN that talk too much (even though most talk to their friends about girl issues)

I think that quiet men are boring. (their soo quiet their breathe kicks!!)

I like people, not just men, who know the appropriate time to do things (like when to speak and when not to.)

On the other hand, if we looking for drastic change as Kobojunkie puts it then I agree with Disguy as posted in his earlIER statements that we will need to

have to find people to occupy the house and senate as well those people (recycled old fools) who are holding back the country as well!
need to be REMOVED.
PoliticsRe: President Yar'adua Should Resign! by madamkoko: 3:46am On Jul 08, 2008
Change takes time.
PoliticsRe: President Yar'adua Should Resign! by madamkoko: 3:45am On Jul 08, 2008
I think Kobojunkie's argument is that even as governor, Yar'adua didn't do much, NOW, what makes us think that he'll do anything as president.

As president however, its an entire set of responsibilities don't you think ?

My thing is this: He's only president: what about the corrupt governors, senators, army officers, leaders, etc under him, I mean what can he do to curb those people.
Christianity EtcRe: In The God Of David Oyedepo ? Huh? by madamkoko(op): 3:37am On Jul 08, 2008
davidylan:
There is already separation of church and state in Nigeria . . . we are officially a secular state. The problem is not religion but poverty. Why do you think everyone is paying tithes and "sowing seeds"? Its not because they love God, they only seek miracles, signs and wonders . . . of course the charlatans coming in the name of Gawd are doing a wonderful job of padding their own nests feeding off the insecurity of the poor.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!
Christianity EtcRe: In The God Of David Oyedepo ? Huh? by madamkoko(op): 3:34am On Jul 08, 2008
ONE reason, why I say there is so separation, is this: for example, if Brother Joe works for a company/or his a senator or is in position of power, (I guess its called networking) but He will give an underqualified person a job because the person goes to his church rather than a QUALIFIED and brilliant muslim/non christian.
