A Mr. Seyi called me today said he is from zain after probably seeing my email. He called twice at 10:30 and 10:44am with a 08021900000 number. He said zain is actually aware that there is a gprs problem in some parts of Ikeja including my residential area so a lot of Zain bb subscribers will be affected. When asked about suspending my subscription to when the problem is resolved, he said there is nothing zain can do. That it is a 30days thing and there is no sort of compensation in other words the subscribers have to keep on paying for a bb service which is not available due to zain's technical inadequacies. I am really disappointed as in, in the past one week I have not been able to use my bb at home and I spend more time at home and I am not asking for a refund all I am asking is a suspension on my subscription so I don't loose days and zain is telling me NO. This is first class degree cheating and a slap on Nigerians.

Its not about the refund its about atittude u get na because na naija this can't happen outside this shores

I use zain network right from 2001 and started to use black berry of zain about 3 months ago and and july 12 I subscribed for the month and 2 days later I noticed that my residential area omole 2 I can not use my bb service I have kept on calling customer service all to no avail. If u drive a about a km from my residential area ur bb starts to work. This morning I decided to visit them and tell them to hold my subscription till when it is rectified so that I ll not loose days on my subscribtion and switch over to mtn as if u put an mtn sim in my phone you will notice the bb service on only that u can't us it because I am not a bb subsriber to mtn zain told me I can not hold it that once I hv paid I hv paid. I asked what if I am at home for the whole 30days the CSO told me too bad. Can u believe this. Is my fault that their base station in my area is bad? I am most of the time in my area, and I can't use my bb I paid 4750 for due to zains poor coverage. Nigerians this is a slap on our face. I personally will stop usin zain soon.

hmmm, fashola if i shld talk people dat know me ll say i am biased. as a driver if you drive your car on the right side of the road is it worth comendation? look at the whole environment of lagos fashola has just done one tenth of wat we expect him to do. my brother ans sisters if yaradua does not tackle power wahala(nepa or Phcn) then i dont feel he has done anything so also if fashola has not tackled roads, shelter,water healthcare, then he hasnt done shit. what is the achievements he has got in the area of housin, roads, healthcare. please i want response. the brt project was not is iniatiatve it was tinubus and to me it is not really worth it but it is ok if it ll employ pple but to me it has not solve anything.

where is our president? he went to germany for a medical checkup for a reaction caused by an 'allergy' and we were told he will be back before weekend,but by weekend we were told dat by tues 22 of april he ll come bak that he (yaradua)has decided to stay in germany to finish his consultations with nigerians in germany. as at now i really wanna know where is yaradua. is he back?

what u guys should understand is that i am not using objs govt as a yard stick for yaraduas govt. let us be real take a lopok at may 2007 and now tell me one action that yaradua has improved on that a common man (that does not listen to news) on the street can see.

i don't want to sound negative but i can only see that the rate of bank robberies are higher, more pensioners are complaining, power outage is on the increase, pure water is now 10 bucks, fuel qeues are more regular now in most part of naija, that is what i can see because i am a common man. please i stand to be corrected.

kemofash i agree wit u totally. yaradua has not brought hope to a common nigerian at all. look at it now in a year nothing to really celeberate. if in a four hour exam or test u take one hr to read the questions u will most likely fail. yaradua has used ine year to review the situation in a 4 year course that is to bad.

Dear Sir,

A PETITION AGAINST YOUR POLICE MEN AT PEDRO POLICE STATION
On the 8th of February, 2008 I was stopped by a police officer at Bariga round about at 10:45pm. I was asked for my driver’s license and vehicle particulars which I produced. The officer further asked for my work Identity card which I explained to him in simple terms that I run my fathers company and I don’t possess a work identity card. He went on to ask my co occupants (two of my friends a man and a woman) in the car to produce their work identity card which they did, but he insisted on arresting us without any incriminating evidence. I even showed him my international passport, my ATM cards all bearing my names and it tallies with that of the cars particulars but he stood his ground.

My friend was trying telling them she is a P.C.R.C. member but the officer responded with a slap. And bundled her and the man to a waiting taxi bus (danfo) to the station like common criminals and told me to drive to the station in my car with an officer called Chuks.

When I got to the station, this was about 11:45pm, they collected our names and told my friends to move behind the counter then Chuks called me aside that I should ‘settle’ them or I will be detained. I refuse to yield to his request. He now went and told the officer at the counter to release my two friends and they should detain me which they did and he left.

Then my friend spoke to an elderly officer named Prince Deji (that’s all I could remember on his name badge) telling him that I have a problem with my blood pressure that my BP rises when I am stressed that he should please not allow them to lock me up. He agreed to assist me on the condition that I give him One Thousand Naira my friend reluctantly obliged because he did not want me to be locked up with hardened criminals in the cell.

After this I had to wait for Chuks and his colleagues to come back from their raiding before I could be released, while waiting for them I saw the highest level of human right abuse I have ever noticed. While an elderly man was trying to explain his plight to a young female officer Rosemary Obi, she got annoyed and gave him a dirty slap. Another man was stripped naked by the officers on duty because he was reluctant to move into the cell.



Finally Chuks and his colleagues came and they insisted I ‘drop something’ for them before I go home my friend gave them another one thousand naira before I was released at about 1:15am on Saturday morning. I really feel cheated as a Nigerian and I feel that this should be checked.

Sir, please use your good office to look at this because this will give your command a bad name. I hope I get justice Sir.
