That's an abberation and a shame on Nigeria being an oil producing country and importing from a non oil producing country. I believe south south leaders are shameless despite the billions they are making from oil. Even if the federal govt does not have the political will to build a functional large capacity refinery can't someone from that area or more team up to build a good independent refinery somewhere. Ofcourse it will be to their advantage. Imagine the enormous petrochemicals we sell out to these foreign countries at zero cost.

There are no companies in Nigeria that can manufacture Refinery machine or Is related components. For we to achieve that, it's important to have a robust steel and iron industry ( which is lacking). The engineers and techincal expert would be imported from China or the West. Imagine Chinese or the West allowing their citizen to share technical support to build a working refinery that will affect the economy of the nation negatively. Dont you think it's possible to prevent that to happen?

Imagine a country where access to health care is difficult , cost of living is soaring daily and running a business is difficult. It cost lots of money to register with HEFAMAA couple with other 'Nigerian factor's.
How do you expect a small clinic to spend over hundred of thousands for just HEFAMAA registration couple with getting office space, expensive medical equipment and paying license fee from appropriate regulatory bodies.You do all this yearly.

I don't think it's about color of the skin. Western world has been trying to reform and liberalise Islam (Just the way christianity experienced a Protestant reformation) , as a leeway to reduce radical teaching. The method of approach has been to bring young muslims especially from the arab (yet to be exposed to harmful teaching) world to inculcate them into western values ( freedom of speech, progressive thoughts, tolerance etc).
Those young muslims will then be the messenger that would return to their country to reform Islam. From the look of things, The UK has had good success rates (salman rushdie, Malala Yousafzai comes to mind and many more) with less terror attack. The question goes thus: why is France failing in that regard with ample number of terror attacks.?

Not only in Abuja do we have unoccupied houses, even in Lagos. There are some streets you ply in Ikoyi at night and no reflection of night whatsoever will be seen coming from the house aside an Aboki flashing torch randomly.
