Lost (it's losing steam) Everybody Hates Chris (frigging hilarious) I'm eyeing CSI- |
That you're posting a thread to complain says you're fed up and want to dump his sorry ass, but want some validation from other people, you want to know you're doing the right thing. He's way older than you at 31, and completely irresponsible. How'd you end up with someone like that anyways? Walk away. He doesn't really love you. |
I guess those guys were spoofing the Bond book. |
OMG! Superted, Rex, Skeletor! I loved it, along with Danger Mouse and all the rest of the 80s cartoons. |
kadman:Sex and the City never quite 'took' with me, so I don't know Cattral all that well, though I saw her on Oprah denying she's even the littlest bit like the character she plays. I totally get the Madonna thing. She's one of my very favourite females in the world. So free and unafraid. She lives life on her own terms and makes her own rules and yet manages to not derail. |
Yeah, I wondered about that. The Bible's sometimes hard to take literally. But I suggested the possibility that man might've been created twice to someone and she gave me a look like, shut the hell up heretic and blasphemer and do you know what happens to people who add to what the Bible says? Man I am so not going into all that again. Let the facts emerge, however slowly, but facts, not fiction. |
OMG I can't stand the thought of worms everywhere. There's something obscene about being alive one minute and next you're worm food and pushing up daisies. Cremate me, and then bury me. |
Maybe the world was created by evolution? We coined both terms. Perhaps God had a different word for it. The world came about in stages, and it's interesting that science and the Bible agree on the order living things appeared on the planet: Water, plants, sea thingies, land thingies, man. So the Catholic Church says evolution is consistent with the Bible: that means creationism takes a hit? How? They made an annoucement, they didn't exactly submit a well-documented thesis on it. The catholic church says a lot of things. Early this year, they invented new Deadly Sins, including not living Green. Evolution is a possibility, it's not yet a fact. I have nothing against either, but it'd be nice to know for sure which it is. |
Here's my baby kicking some ninja butt. Tres sexy. A real man's man. So's Wentworth. Literally. Heh heh
|
A DIY forum, where you learn to do all kinds of stuff. I think it's a fantastic idea. |
I almost watched a Nigerian movie, to critique it. It's been years since I went Nollywooding. But the danged thing began with adverts( I think the same sickening guy does them all) and it brought back memories of the trauma of previous Nollywood movies and oh, the pain Sisikill, the pain! I'll try again, but I'll need other people around, because I know, within five minutes of pointing my eyeballs at Nollywood, I'm seriously going to want to kick somebody. |
Having spent quite a bit of time at different magazines and being notoriously hard to please, the first cover made me want to throw up. The meeting point between the vision and its execution was rocky, to say the least, but I caught what was being attempted there. Amateurish, You don't skimp on professional design, and the hook lines on the cover caught nothing but air. The second cover is much better. Keep that up. Good luck with the magazine. |
Coldplay. Anything by Coldplay. Replaying his oldies but goodies a lot recently, especially Speed of Sound. |
When you do see it let's have the low down on it. A musical on Fela's life and music. Inspired. |
Na real wah be dis one. |
I'm keeping my head, thank God. |
Chris! Spill it already. They're his religious views, not his private views. I sort of get what you mean, though. You might ask if he minds having his views posted here. You assume he'll mind, but what if he doesn't? |
Sounds amazing |
Cannot abide Meredith. Skipped her scenes with her mother as I found I couldn't stand her either. Why only favourite actresses na? Sandrah Oh and The Nazi are awesome. I like Alex. Arrogant, but unafraid. Like Preston. Loved his pairing with Kristina, was sorry he was off the show for calling George a gay on set. So what? Little Georgie is gay gay gay. |
KarmaMod:Well then, drool over your current crush, or the longest-lasting. The prisonbreak guy isn't gay? I heard he was gay and told my friend, with a great deal of sadistic pleasure. If it turns out he isn't gay she'll have my head. He must be gay o, ah beg. |
I've had a thing for Ken Watanabe ever since I first saw him in The Last Samurai. If I say Ken one more time my friends'll likely murder me. A girlfriend thinks the sun rises and sets on Jude Law's skinny butt. A colleague finds Michelle Pfeiffer 'enchanting'. Her mouth or some other part of her anatomy I can't recall. Another girlfriend sighed over the Prisonbreak lead actor, discovered he was gay, and wept as the world ended as she knew it. I know a guy who adores Matt Damon. I can't deny I've been slightly unfaithful to Ken. I've had bit affairs with other actors. Sean Connery, for one. Johnny Depp, for another. But Ken is the one. Which Hollywood actors/actresses have your heart? Your favourite movies and Hollywood people, right here. |
LOST. There isn't even a runner up. The other two aren't in its class in terms of dialogue, character development, and the complexity and symbolism of its storyline. The most intriguing series I have ever come across. Addictive. |
The current Casino Royale is more faithful to the book than others. The baddies did give Mr Bond's crown jewels a treat they'll never forget, pardon my crudeness. The book Bond was a complete bastid. I heard some other guy completed Fleming's last Bond book last year. Armed guards and bullion vans and who knows what else, bats out of hell?, accompanied the first print. |
Chrisbenogor:You have to ask? Where is it already? |
Rude people dey make persin vex jare, JustGood. If human being no get anything else at all for dis life, e suppose get good manners na. Na di point of our culture be dat. |
You may express an opinion without recourse to insults. It isn't personal, it's just a discussion thread. Calling others yeye people merely because you don't agree with them says a lot about the kind of person you are. |
Your sisters and your mum. |
shotster50:omg, you are soooooo right. He's terribly sexy that way. Delicious |
I haven't asked for an update on the God he has issues with. His issues are there, but so are mine. I did indicate that those questions in the post are our queries combined. I want to know why Salvation is unfair and why it appears to be an accident of birth. He wants to know the rest. He's been following this thread, but since I've issues myself I'm not as confident as I used to be about things God-ish. I'm stunned to realise exactly how little Iknow for sure about the God I'm supposed to have faith in. Knowledge has to come first. It's a love relationship.Love your God with all your heart and all your soul. But you can't love someone you don't know and don't understand, can you? I don't know him. I've little first-hand dealing with him, but plenty of second-hand experiences. But other's people's faith and other people's knowledge cannot save me, can it? They certainly won't save him,and he's a cynic to boot. |
Vieira:Hey, I saw that one last year. Really old. Was that a real Bond movie? I thought it was some sort of absurd spoof of the series. |
Who the blue blazes is David Niven? Don't tell me there's a Bond called Niven. Neva heard of him. |
Chrisbenogor:They think you've gone bonkers? I had to laugh. Couldn't help it. |
