@poster Do you know how crazy you sound? Who frigging cares about antichrists? Everyone is busy with a cause, because life is short don't you know? Feed the hungry, world peace, civil rights, enviromental issues:Instead of clanging like some defective doomsday bell at the repair shop, why don't you go find something better to do with your time? |
The English Patient American Beauty Lord of the Rings trilogy Moulin Rouge The Matrix Brokeback Mountain Tsosi Goodfellas Sin City Shakespeare in Love Fight Club The Ten Commandments (Cecil B Demille's) |
The bastard should be hung by the privates until it falls off. Or the thing should be roasted over burning coal while it is still attached to him, and fed to him in little pieces. What a monster. |
@Zino Ben Leave the guy na. Which one is ya own? |
I know say we dey pretend but make church dey take mouth preach say something na sin, make e dey carry hand distribute condom again? If HIV dey prevalent, na church fault be that one? What about your own responsibilities to yourself? True, HIV infection's on the rise, but choosing to have sex without taking precautionary measures is just that, a choice. Na hard question, because church too no fit close eye dey take impractical stance. They might lose relevance in young people's lives. Perhaps, if they're daring, they can preach abstinence, but say if you insist on sinning, protect yourself. But hand out condoms? Haba. |
What's one without the other, if you're pitching to potential investors? |

Experti ke? I'm laughing my butt off. I really don't know what you want to hear here. You've made up your mind she's the one you want, but nothing anyone says here will work on her mind. She's your best friend yes? So you should know her well enough to know how to proceed with her. But being female myself, and since my best friend is a guy, it's easy for me to put myself in her position. Ew. It'll be like dating and kissing my brother, and I don't want to imagine what else you want to do to her! If it were me I would kick against it at first, think the very idea ! and bristle anytime I see him, adjust to the very idea, and date him. Are you her best friend? So she already loves you. Give her time. How do you know she doesn't have anything to get used to? You reside in her mind? Perhaps you've known her a long time and familiarity has made you dispense with certain rules of conduct. Your relationship is changing and so your conduct must too. Women like to be pursued. So have at her. Charm her socks off. Let her see what a total package you are. And stop being so frigging impatient. Haba. |
If you provide details there might be people who happen to know the other side of the story, and your dad, here on nairaland. You never can tell. I'd say go for it. You've nothing to lose, and a dad to gain. |
It beats me that anyone can think this lady's experiences were invented for their amusement. I've come across silly stories on nairaland. You can tell the duds instantly. Before I got to the part where she laughed at the message I'D snickered myself at the 360 degree thing. Stop making a mockery of what must've been one of the most intense and traumatic ordeals of her married life. I learnt a lot from this thread. |
Ohhhhhhhh Voltron!!!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. BEST. ANIME. SERIES.EVER. I swear I will hunt it down. My kids, when I have em, must watch it. Along with Speed the Racer, which was also AWESOME. And G- Force. People too dey die for Thundersub. And you know say person wey die for cartoon that time don die for real life be that. |
Mulan. The song BE A MAN is awesome, and Mushu is frigging hilarious. Little Mermaid The Hunchback of Notre Dame The Lion King |
Ankara blouse, blue jeans and flipflops. |
A girlfriend had really tremendous ones after her third baby last year. She kept complaining nothing she used worked. But stretch marks are deep within the skin, and applying stuff to the surface won't get rid of them. I don't know what she used again, or was it laser surgery? She told me but I can't recall. Her skin is glowing now,no marks. I'll ask her when I see her and post her response. |

Omigod. Memories, memories |
Only movie that's ever wrung tears from me was The English Patient. I bawled. Well all right, when DiCaprio's delish face sank into the sea all those years ago I almost cried right there. But it was nothing like The English Patient. Beautiful, savage love.(Sigh) |
@poster. Are you certain it's love you feel for her? Women can generally tell someone loves them before he says a word. And you sound impatient as hell. What's your hurry? I saw some good advice back there. Be patient, and don't terrorize her with your feelings. Give her time to accept and get used to the idea ke. You're lucky it's your best friend you fell for. Really lucky. |
@labo It would be wonderful if there were no hell. I wouldn't care if heaven didn't exist if hell didn't. Who asked for either? |
Never saw The Practice. Boston Legal is terribly witty and engaging, and William Shatner is just so damn funny. |
I'm not married, but I intend to adopt soon. Will adopt every three years after that. And have one or two biological uns when I'm married. A kid's a kid. |
@Poster Lovely. Spot on. Loads and loads of sense. More of this sort of posts pls. |
Brolin's performance deeply moved me, it was so real and so damn near perfect. Unbelievable he wasn't nominated at all. But Oscars haven't stopped astonishing people with their awful choices and its politics dates back awhile. Cant grudge Bardem his little tin man, though. The guy was a force of nature. When stupendous acting gets lined up for one award, it's almost painful to see THE winner emerge. Like the 2005 nominations for Best Actor. So it was with this year's Best Supporting actor thingie. Definitely Casey for me. |
We all seem to have issues. The one religious doctrine I have never been able to reconcile myself with is the concept of an eternal hell.God gave us free will. Which means he gave us the ability to follow him if we wish and reject him if we don't. And if we exercise the free will we did not ask for but which he chose to give us, and reject him, we are punished for exercising that free will. There is something profoundly disturbing and sadistic about hell.Where a soul rots for all eternity in torment.Nothing a human being does or does not do justifies that kind of punishment,if it's true that is. Eternity is so mind-boggling I cant quite wrap my mind around something that never ever ever ends. And it doesn't help to say it wasn't intended for man,it was intended for the devil. So why isn't it restricted to the devil then? Why not someplace else for mankind, if they must be punished at all for using the free will God bestowed upon them. If man rejects God,so what?If he refuses to be rejected why give us the ability to do so? But since you equipped man with it why punish them so for exercising their freedom? |
