TourismMan: As a certified tourism professional, I was thinking on how to engage the government on what and what can be done to encourage and promote tourism in Nigeria both domestic and international, this got me researching on the deal between Rwanda and Arsenal that sees "Visit Rwanda" being printed on the sleeves of Arsenal players. As I was reading the article which revealed a £30m sponsorship deal for the period of 3 years, I also came across this particular point and decided to share with you guys. Seeing all the signs and insinuations making rounds, how are we sure Buhari is not going to apply this trick on us may be just a year or less left for him to complete this second tenure? With the rubber stamp 9th assembly we have in the leadership of Armed Lawan? My feeling is telling me Buhari and his northern brothers are putting in strategies on how to exactly trick us via the the encircled part. What can you say?
kagame is best thing that happened to Rwanda, go and see what he is doing to his country.

TMSMedia: IgbereTV reports that Nigerian Noble Laureate, Wole Soyinka, said that Department of State Services(DSS) has to release Omoyele Sowore and save Nigeria from further embarrassment from the international community, as Sowore's continued detention is gaining international attention.
This is contained in a statement from Soyinka on Wednesday.
Recall that the DSS has refused to comply with a court order for Sowore’s release. The agency had said it received the court order for his release, but that no one had come to receive him. But it refused to release him still after his lawyers and some civil rights activists came forward. On Tuesday, agents of the service shot at protesters who had gone to the agency’s headquarters to demand his release.
Soyinka said, ”It is heart-warming to witness the determined efforts of “Concerned Nigerians” in defence of these rights. Predictably, the ham-fisted response of the Directorate of State Security (DSS) continues to defy the rulings of the court. The weaponry of lies having been exploded in their faces, they resort to what else? Violence! Violence, including, as now reported, the firing of live bullets,” he said.
“Why the desperation? The answer is straightforward: the government never imagined that the bail conditions for Sowore would ever be met. Even Sowore’s supporters despaired. The bail test was clearly set to fail! It took a while for the projection to be reversed, and it left the DSS floundering. That agency then resorted to childish, cynical lies. It claimed that the ordered release was no longer in their hands, but in Sowore’s end of the transfer. The lie being exploded, what next? Bullets of course!
“Such a development is not only callous and inhuman, it is criminal. It escalates an already untenable defiance by the state. As I remarked from the onset, this is an act of government insecurity and paranoia that merely defeats its real purpose. And now – bullets? This is no longer comical. Perhaps it is necessary to remind this government of precedents in other lands where, even years after the event, those who trampled on established human rights that generate homicidal impunity are called to account for abuse of power and crimes against humanity.”
“Enough of this charade, nothing more than a display of crude, naked power. Release Omoyele Sowore and save us further embarrassment in the regard of the world. An apology to the nation by the DSS and the judiciary would also not be out of place. It would go some distance in redeeming the image of an increasingly fascistic agency and reduce the swelling tide of public disillusionment,” he said.

nairavsdollars: Temidayo Akinsuyi;Samuel Ogidan Lagos / Abuja – There was disquiet in the presidency on Wednesday following alleged sack of 35 aides of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo by President Muhammadu Buhari. No statement was issued by the presidency either confirming or refuting the sack of the vice president’s aides. According to credible sources, the aides of the vice president had earlier been notified of their impending sack in September while the presidency began the implementation on Tuesday. It was learnt that even when Osinbajo was hoping that the alleged sack of 35 of the aides would be reversed by the president, some of the affected persons on Tuesday had their Presidential Villa access tags retrieved from them as they reported for work. Some of them, who reported for work, were said to have been approached at the gate by security personnel who seized their tags upon confirming that their names were contained in the list of sacked aides apparently provided for them. An online medium which on Wednesday reported that Buhari approved the sack of at least 35 out of over 80 aides in the vice president’s office, informed that the affected aides, who were issued appointment letters in August, included some senior special assistants, special assistants, personal assistants and technical assistants. Some of the aides were said to have left their offices by themselves on Wednesday and returned home to avoid being embarrassed. A source in the vice president’s office who preferred to remain anonymous said that some of the aides who came to work on Tuesday left on their own accord to prevent any incident with security personnel. Many of Osinbajo’s aides had earlier been sent out from the Villa and accommodated in various ministries and parastatals, which reduced their access to the Villa. When contacted the president’s media aides refused to speak on the development. Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, neither confirmed nor denied the development when asked for his reaction. He said he was just emerging from Wednesday’s meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) and had read the reports just like others. Reports have been rife that since their re-election, Osinbajo has fallen out of favour with some elements close to President Buhari who are undermining his authority, a situation which has been blamed for the dissolution and replacement of the Economic Management Team hitherto headed by the vice president. Daily Independent had earlier reported that members of the cabal in the presidency want the National Social Investment Programme (N-SIP) to be taken away from the office of the vice president and handled by the newly created Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development. Speaking with our correspondent in September, a credible source in the presidency said the deal has already been perfected and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo may no longer be in charge of the Social Investment Programmes (SIPs) except President Muhammadu Buhari intervenes. According to our source, members of the cabal are not comfortable with the popularity the vice president was getting with the scheme especially among the masses, hence the need to move it away from his office. The Federal Government introduced a portfolio of social investment programmes in 2015 under the office of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo with the goal of taking millions of Nigerians out of poverty. TraderMoni is an initiative of the Federal Government, through Bank of Industry, and Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme. The programme is part of the Federal Government social intervention aimed at funding micro business in the country through soft loans beginning from N10, 000 to N100,000. The programme was launched in August while the vice president began his tour in Osun State on September 3, 2018, barely three weeks to the Osun State governorship election. In promoting the scheme, the vice president has visited markets across the country where he interacted with the traders. Our source said the cabal believes the scheme is giving Osinbajo undue advantage and popularity across the length and breadth of the country. “Yes, I can confirm that there are plans to move the scheme away from the vice president’s office. I don’t know whether it has to do with 2023 presidency, but the fact is that some power brokers in the presidency are not comfortable with the popularity the vice president is getting from the masses whenever he goes to promote the scheme, hence the resolve to move it to the new ministry.”
Reacting to the sack of Osinbajo’s aides, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), human rights lawyer, said he is not surprised by the development as he had predicted that it will happen before now. “I normally read situations and I say my own. Everything I have predicted in the last five years have always come to pass. I have made it clear and it is resounding now”, he said. On the options available before Osinbajo, Ozekhome said he can either fight the cabal like a man or quietly resign his position as vice president. While making reference to the fight between former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former President Olusegun Obasanjo during their second term, Ozekhome said Nigerians were aware Atiku fought his then boss both in the courts and at the political scene which saved him from being humiliated out of office. “Osinbajo has two options. The first option is to get ready to pull his punches and fight like a man that has manhood. He should fight squarely, frontally and brutally like a man with manhood. “The second option is that he should honourably resign as vice president of Nigeria before they pour more ashes on his head and before they bespatter his white garment with more muds and more excrement. In these two options, there are no grey areas at all. They are just the two options available. “He should either put his hat in the ring to fight the cabal squarely. Atiku fought Obasanjo squarely to the knowledge of everybody in this country. He fought brutally whether in court or on the political scene. In every way, Atiku fought Obasanjo to a standstill and everybody was aware. “So, Osinbajo should be ready to do what Atiku did by fighting with all he can but if he cannot, he should take the honourable way out by resigning quietly. Otherwise, he will be so rubbished and reduced in significance and importance that he will not even be accorded the status of being a glorified messenger. “In a situation where the president can send Osinbajo to his home town to go and witness the turbaning of a small chief and documents are being sent to the president to sign Nigerian laws in London, it is a clear case that when the market is on fire, you do not tell the deaf and the blind. They will know when they feel the heat”, he said. https://www.independent.ng/presidency-silent-on-sack-of-osinbajos-aides/

jaybenugo: IgbereTV reports that a former political associate of President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Chairman of Reformed All Progressives Congress, rAPC, Alhaji Buba Galadima, has stated that Nigerians should not be surprised to see the President contesting in the 2023 presidential election.
Buba Galadima who now works together with the PDP said that when the time comes, PDP will usher Buhari into the 2023 presidential race.
In an interview made available to IgbereTV, Galadima claimed that President Buhari's absence in the country during the hearing of the petition filed by Atiku meant that Buhari is in control of the judiciary as he is confident of victory
He said, “I have never seen such a terrible situation like what we are witnessing in Nigeria today under the APC-led government of President Muhammadu Buhari. Not even during the colonial era, and the military period have Nigerians passed through these hard times.
“With Buhari in charge, it is like Nigerians have entered a one-chance bus. What is even surprising is that despite all the hardship, and suffering being inflicted on Nigerians, Buhari is not bothered. He doesn’t feel moved by the cries of hardship and sufferings, which his government has brought upon Nigerians.
“Now Buhari has travelled outside the country again. He has travelled to Saudi Arabia, and from there, he will go to the United Kingdom. Does that show the trait of a good leader? Buhari keeps on travelling across the globe while Nigerians are wallowing in poverty.
“He is not moved by all the hardship, and not only that, he feels so confident that his mandate is secured. If not, he would not have travelled to Saudi Arabia on the eve of the hearing of petition, and appeal against his election by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of PDP.
“Buhari has already pocketed the judiciary, and he feels that nothing will happen, and that he will be victorious at the court. His government has destroyed the judiciary and this is very troubling for democracy, and our nation
“A lot of politicians will be disappointed. Only God knows what will happen between now and 2023. Buhari may even be drafted to join the 2023 fray by some of his aides and associates.
“Buhari may be drafted by those enjoying under his government. Buhari has always been drafted to contest elections, and I won’t be surprised if his supporters draft him into the 2023 race.
“But clearly, what these politicians jostling and talking about 2023 don’t know is that they are over-exposing themselves. They are exposing their weaknesses, and their opponents or political foes may use it against them.
“Nobody knows how 2023 will go. It is only God that knows. Anything can happen between now, and 2023.”

Babtech001: Acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, on Thursday alleged that mothers of internet fraudsters, known locally as Yahoo boys, are now forming an association.
The EFCC has been on the trail of internet fraudsters since the turn of the year.
The anti-graft agency is working with foreign agencies like the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the US in its clampdown on internet fraudsters.
Mr Magu told journalists at the agency’s Lagos office in Ikoyi at the ongoing EFCC stakeholders conference on crusade against cybercrime fraudsters that such parents always justify their children’s activities with the arguments that they were supporting their families in the place of irresponsible, runaway or dead fathers.
Magu said the EFCC’s interest was not just to arrest the ‘Yahoo’ boys but also to see to their rehabilitation.
The EFCC (Lagos Office) said it made 300 cybercrime-related arrests since January and had secured 200 convictions.
NwekeUG: IgbereTV reports that Herdsmen, cattle rearers or any other person or group who rear or graze cattle or any other livestock openly in any part of Oyo State are now to face at least five years jail term or a fine of five hundred thousand naira N500,000.00 or both if found guilty.
This is contained in the recently passed anti-open grazing bill by the state House of Assembly. IgbereTV gathered that the bill, “The Oyo State Open Rearing and Grazing Regulation Bill, 2019”, was sponsored by the Speaker of the House, Adebo Ogundoyin, his Deputy, Abiodun Fadeyi, Majority Leader, Sanjo Adedoyin and Minority Leader, Asimiyu Alarape.
According to IgbereTV correspondent the bill was passed into law by the lawmakers on Thursday notwithstanding legal threats and resistance the from some herdsmen in the state.
It is expected that Govenor Seyi Makinde’s will give sign the bill to enable its implementation. As soon as the bill is signed by the Governor and becomes law, there would be five years imprisonment or a fine of N500,000.00 or both for anyone who engages in open rearing or grazing of livestock.
The bill recommends that subsequent offenders shall upon conviction be liable to 10 years imprisonment or a fine of N2 million or both. According to a copy of the proposed law obtained by IgbereTV on Saturday, movement of livestock on foot from one destination to another in the state is illegal.
The herdsmen are hereby mandated to submit themselves for registration and get an identification card, which must be worn at all times. It stated that cattle movement is only permissible by rail wagon, truck or pick-up wagon between 7 am and 6 pm, while any person found moving livestock on foot is liable on conviction to imprisonment for five years or a fine of N500,000 or both.
If anyone is caught without identification card the person is liable on conviction to imprisonment for one year or a fine of N100,000 or both according to the state anti-open grazing bill.
The bill also prohibits a minor from grazing, herding or grazing of livestock except under the supervision of an adult, while the minor or owner of cattle is liable on conviction to a fine of N300,000 or three years imprisonment or both.
The bill also recommends that cattle owners are restricted to grazing livestock in approved ranches where persons wishing to set up ranches are to obtain a permit from the state government for a period of three years, with renewal subject to the approval of the landowner. It empowers the state Governor to revoke the permit, without compensation, to the herdsman for any breach of security.
Also, it recommends a N200,000.00 fine and two years imprisonment for herdsmen or cattle rearers found guilty for failure to register with the state Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Also, it states that any herdsman who causes injury to any person is liable upon conviction to imprisonment for five years or a fine of N500,000 or both. Such person who causes the injury shall be allowed to pay the medical bill of the injured person (s).
From the proposed law, whenever any livestock strays into any person’s land other than a ranch and causes destruction of crops, the herdsman is liable to pay compensation to the owner with valuation to be determined by the Oyo State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
It also clarified that, if the onslaught leads to death of any person, the herdsman, upon conviction, will be sentenced for manslaughter under the criminal code law. Also prohibited, is the sale, transfer or mortgage of any land leased to herdsmen for the purpose of ranching.
The proposed law also recommends that the Oyo State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shall be empowered to impound any livestock found grazing or wandering or herding in an area not permitted as a ranch. It states also that impounded livestock not claimed within seven days will be sold on auction to the public and the proceeds paid into the state’s coffers.
For these provisions to be enforced, the bill recommends the establishment of a task force to be named, “Open Grazing Prohibition Task Force”.
The state government, security agencies, farmers’ association, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, vigilante and the judiciary would have representatives in the “Open Grazing Prohibition Task Force” which will see to the implementation of the law.
vincixpresso: This is Mai-Adua border, I know the town very well, because I worked in Mai-Adua Technical college as a contractor under Gaskiya Welding and Fabrication works, so I know Mai-Adua town very well.
Mai-Adua is not too far from Daura Buhari's home town, infact people use to take bicycle from Daura to Mai-Adua, because it is not too far, some times because many of our people has not been to the core north, when we try to tell them that Nigeria is not one, they find it difficult to believe.
Look at this picture, is it possible for we the Yorubas, Igbos, to line up like this from Benin Republic, or Abijan to Nigeria? We all know that it is not possible, because the Cabal Custom will kill almost all the Okada riders.
But look at these, this is Mai-Adua a neighbouring town of Daura, Buhari's home town, in Mai-Adua's merket they spend two types of money (currency) Nigerian's currency, and Niger's currency.
But here in the Souths, we all know that something like that is never possible, because we are under the siege of our slave masters from a very long time, the unfortunate thing is that most of my Yoruba brothers and sisters don't want to be free, some because of Religion, some because of Politics, some because of the fear of the strange Cabals, if there is any.
If the terrorists family goverment tells you that they are closing borders, you should know that it is the borders in the Souths, the borders are, (1) Idiroko/Seme borders in Lagos state, (2) Cross Rivers State, (3) Chikanda border, Kwara State, (4) Shaki border, Oyo State, (5) Abeokuta border, Ogun State.
This are the borders they mounts presures on to make the none-terrorists poor, so that terrorists from the northern part of Nigeria can be more richer than us, and the reason for this is to take over Nigeria systematically, because they know that a poor tribe have no say in the presence of the rich tribe.
Though many of our southern leader fail to understand that if most of your people are poor, one day it will surely affect you, most of Yoruba and Igbo politicians, fail to understand that the person that use you to oppress your people today, will come for you one day, it is just a matter of time. The enemies of your tribe will come your your head, after they have use you to destroy yourself unknowingly.
I pray that God will help most Nigerians to understand my long time warnings, before it will be too late for us to act. God bless all those that are fighting for freedom.
Copied.
