Bluezy13:Loool No disrespect sir but you know very little about the diamond industry. The value of any diamond tanks by over 200% the moment it leaves the store. Davido will never go broke. We don’t pray for anyone’s downfall but should he just wanna resell it, he’ll not get even a quarter of the actual value P.s. I’ve bought and sold diamonds! They’re worthless! |
Reading these comments made me sad. Rape that happened 100 years ago is still rape. You can’t tell a victim when and how to face their abuser. While I’m not taking sides, I believe all sides need to be head. I cant explain how I ended up in same country as the average Nigerian. So backward and hateful! |
Thinking like this will never get you rich! You have to look inwards not outwards. You’re already looking for a ghost to blame and a pastor to give your non-existent earnings to. My question to you: Have you sought out successfully mentors in the business? Do you get feedback from your customers on how you can improve? Rather than scoring new customers, why not work harder to ensure that any customer you had in the past will return to you for more work? Does your business bring value to people and do you find fulfillment doing it?? Poor man, The solution to your situation lies in the answers to those questions! |
BEANSndPLANTAIN:And how is that her fault? |
For the sake of unity, peace and progress, ibos should be given a chance to run the affairs of this nation at its highest levels (presidency). While I do not expect any significant change in the affairs of Nigeria, I am very confident that ibos like soludo, ngozi okonjo iweala and other prominent ibo men and woman that have legally built their wealth and well exposed can turn this country for the better. We do not need a Tinubu or a Buhari in office. Even if the next president is from the north, let it be the ousted EFCC chairman (under obasanjo tenure). Even if it’s from the west, let it be a prominent and respected son of the soil e.g (the former minister of agriculture... can’t remember his name. All I’m saying is that there are competent people from every region but it’s not tinubu, Buhari or rochas! |
Lol!... Until your anti corruption efforts begin to translate to the improvement of life for Nigerians, nothing will change. You can’t recover billions of dollars every year without any part of it trickling down to the populace. Shame on you guys! Keep chasing low level “yahoo” criminals. That changes nothing if the political embezzlers like Ganduje who was caught on camera is left unscathed! |
Wait! Are we so used to injustice that not a single person find it unjust that the woman was arrested over the death of an unhealthy man during sex? |
hisexcellency34:I disagree! Iheanacho is a good striker but he’s not a “versatile” striker. He needs a team that can play his style and a coach that reassured him and believes in him in order for his shine to truly emerge. Barca or Madrid is for players that are fully established and it will be hard for him to fit in those places. |
Benjaniblinks:Fixed! |
RisenPhoenix:Lol! Have you ever left your village? |
The comments I read on this thread reenforces the reason why I hate poor people. You see, everyone that celebrated this new rule only did so NOT BECAUSE IT AFFECTS ME THEM, but because IT AFFECTS SOMEONE ELSE THAT THEY THEH PERCEIVE TO BE DOING BETTER THAN THEM! They have given up on themselves so much that they do not see any hope that they’ll someday be in a position where they can afford great medical care and better life within and outside Nigeria. Poverty kill you there!! |
jayfolarin:You don’t think like a typical Nigerian. Most of them are idiots! |
Emedu:Thank you for being respectful. A lot of people have insulted me. I am not against Amotekun but I am against the absence of publicized guidelines and how they are allowed to interact with citizens and the rights of citizens. I am against the absence of ethical hotline to report misdeeds. I am against the absence of overall checks to ensure their authority is not abused. In the absence of checks, abuse is inevitable. Amotekun is a laudable project showing that the south is in thinking in the right direction but I also grew up in the ghetto and saw how OPC operated without recourse to the laws of the land. I saw how they butchered and lynched people. Then, if you had a problem with an OPC guy, you’re as good as dead. Personally, I lost a friend during that period. He was less than 20 and a barber. I have seen how these things can break down into further oppression of you and I. My support for Amotekun is conditional. |
The reason I don’t support Amotekun Anyone that grew up in the ghettos of Lagos will remember that OPC reigned supreme during the 90’s - early 00s and also butchered people indiscriminately on the flimsiest of accusation. I vividly remember the charred bodies of young men that lined up our streets almost every day and would remain there for weeks until it either goes back to the earth or is picked up by the relevant agencies. I remember the OPC traffic stops where they’d have people disembark from the danfo and proceed to separate non-yorubas. Some get accused of being “armed robbers” which is an instant death sentence. I remember the murder of my friend. He was a humble barber and street kid just like me. I came back from my car wash hussle to learn he was murdered by OPC after his landlord accused him of being an armed robber. He dragged out of his house in the mid day, beaten to stupor and then set ablaze. His properties were looted and the remnants discarded. I remember these things vividly. While Amotekun is a good idea, what are the checks and balances to ensure they do not devolve into the immoral and wicked acts of the state sponsored OPC in the 90s. I know I’ll get insulted for this but this is my true life story in the ghettos of Lagos. Amotekun is a NO for me unless there are sufficient checks and balances. Who do we report to if there happens to be abuse of authority? What are the checks and balances to ensure erring members are severely punished? What trainings do the undergo to be able to deal with people professional and discharge their duties adequately? Until there is a solid guideline on Amotekun, this is an effort that will lead to further abuse and oppression of the Nigerian people. /———— [b]I have been insulted by countless people. To those that have kept it civil, Thank you for being respectful. It’s crazy though!!! We are celebrating an uncompleted bridge that is less than 10kms in total length. While the symbolism of the bridge can not be overemphasized, I don’t think it’s work any pomp and pageantry! |
Why are people harassing them? They don’t seem to enjoy the attention. Not fair! |
Davash222:m We need more women in public offices. However we need checks and balances which has never really existed! We can’t have our women do all the work but exclude them from public offices. We need to operate a more inclusive society for women, children, men of all class, stature and ability. That’s the only way we can truly grow! |
False |
I don’t think I’m as rich as the victim but I know to use lawyers/agents but if I must do it myself, I’d have atleast 2 shooters with me Legit businessmen often erroneously believe that they have nothing to worry about. He acted naive and paid the price. Rip |
None of us knows the true story. All his offsprings failed to show up, I think that speaks more about him than about them! |
Glad to see you’ll be raising my next generation of cheap labor! |
Shame I n whoever brought this to the front page!! Successful people don’t celebrate the personal problems of others!! |
Incredible |
allthingsgood:Lol! It’s a sellers market buddy! The market in Lagos is over saturated I literally have my agent turning down applications if our requirements are not met to the very last letter |
Here’s my insight: It depends on what you’re renting. If you’re renting a an apartment (e.g 2 bedroom), then it is NOT your responsibility to pay any tenement rate, HOA and tax fees. If you’re renting a whole house (a single property on a single land), then all the fees associated with the house falls on you However, I have multiple properties that incurs millions in taxes every month. I average them out and just include it in the rent so that way, the tenant does not even know that they’re paying taxes. So, if your landlord is making it clear that you’ll be paying taxes, then ensure that the rent is below market rent. That way, you know that taxes was not added to it already. |
Lol... this list is based on “perception” and not FACTS. One thing you should note is that alll the countries listed have more foreign tourist/visitors per annum than Nigeria. Perception is based on exposure to the world. Ghana has become more exposed to the world and while the perception is that they are corrupt, it is still ranked one of the best places to live in. |
Yorubas and igbos have to unite. We may fight and beef each other but a Yoruba man can live in the East in peace likewise an Igbo man! If my son or daughter travelled to Yoruba or Igbo states, I’ll be at peace knowing their chance of getting murdered is slim but i don’t feel the same way about the norther states! |
Interesting Since there isn’t any solution, I’d recommend random audits of restaurants. You can audit 50 restaurants a day and get multiple food sample after which it is tested for paracetamol. Should it test positive, the restaurant will be closed and the property handed over to the government. Awareness has been created and restaurants have been warned. This is not time to stand and look! Now it’s time to act as the nations regulatory body! |
It’s his personal life and his business. Though I can’t help but notice that most black athletes and celebrities go for whites women but you’d rarely ever see a white celebrity with a black women. Our women are beautiful and intelligent. It’s quite unfortunate that our successful men would rather give their economic power to the whites than to bring it back home. Time and time again, we’ve seen these white women clean out the black athletes account during a divorce a separation! It is well sha. I pray that in my life time, the black race will rise like a phoenix and take an enviable position in the world! It starts with Nigeria! If nigeria don’t succeed, the black race is doomed! |
Kylekent59:Weakling U must not know what that word means!Do you know what it takes to end your own life? Try to conceptualize it! It’s hard as fucccck and no one would want to do that unless they’ve truly given up hope. The only difference between us and them is that we are still cowardly enough to hold on to non-existent hope! |
Happyguy201:If you’re brother get, that mean say you get too! No shame! See how Linda ikeji changed her family E money has also blessed his family! |
franchasng:Best comment. Funny, witty and intelligent! People genuinely think that USA with military spendings that are higher than all the top 15 country military spending put together will loose to Russia! Looool!!!! With the tech and advancement US military have made, Russia would wave the white flag within the first year of fighting! |
