TruthisOut: Hi guys,
Please I need your help. I have been running this life assurance policy with an Insurance company for more than 40 months and going by their policy I can cash out 100 percent of my investment after 3 years (36 months). Now I want out, they started making things difficult telling me I will lose money if I cash out now.
I insisted that they give me back my money as I really it need now, they asked for a lot of requirements but the ones that made me raise an eyebrow are: 1. I should submit all receipts that they have sent anytime I paid my monthly premium 2. I should return the policy document.
Guys, these are documents that shows that I had an investment with them. Are these requirements ok or is someone trying to play me now? I need your help. Which insurance company? |

dabossman: No doubt she tried to give a number of the airports a face lift, but you don't see anyone claiming there is a gang up against their region simply because of a few inadequacies that still needs to be taken care of at our airports. We all saw pictures of some people disembarking from a plane with a ladder recently. Did they cry marginalisation? Did they blame Aunty Stella? No. The issue was addressed to FAAN and Aero Contractors. The marginalization cries is just plain stupid!!.... lol... they are jokers! |

You see one thing i hate about those hyping Oduah? They made us feel she did a lot for the Airport when she actually didn't do much.
Too bad! she actually tried.. haba nah... credit to whom its due. I flew from the airport yesterday and it was still below what i see around the world but its better than i used to know it. She laid the foundation for bigger and better things.... of course, she didn't do enough but she deserves some cred nah! |

Seat belt save lives. If they had strapped the seatbelt, I am sure they would have left with minor headache.
Even if you are in the back seat, please strap the seatbelt. Its not for fancy. Its notnfor frsc. Its to save your life.
The damage to the vehicle is minor but the occupants were probably flung out of the window.
Furthermore, you can't rule out the fact that they were still alive but unconscious. Did anyone check for pulse before they were declared dead?? |

Keneking: Withdraw and send via Western Money or other platforms Western union do not send to u.s. anymore. Those that send has a limit of 150k naira per quarter. When we see something thatnis wrong, we should condemn it. The policy is evil. I am supposed to enjoy my christmas in the village till 2 january but I will leave my village in order to find a way to pay my brother's school fees on tuesday. I need to find a way to pay the 10, 000 dollars else he will get dropped from his classes and that means a bigger problem. |

Moahmed: Guys stop wailing, CBN took the right descision. You can send money via ria., money gram, western union, transfast etc. Must tou use your naira denominated card abroad? Nah bro, the policy is ill advised. I can understand limiting the transaction but stopping the usage of naira card abroad is unwise. I really can't keep explaining but the implication of this is too numerous. 1- ENCOURages money laundering 2- keeping cash at home or at hand can pose security risk 3- scares foreign investors. Why would an investor put dollars into nigeria if they can't make their dollars bavk. 4- will put alot of pressure on dollar thus, weakening the value of naira. I could go oon but these ones are off the top. |

Keneking: Where is lalasticlala sef
+ I noticed that the handwriting of our foreign students are pathetic. Can't they write in Arial or Verdana or Times News Roman straight font.
+ $1,000 a month spend is a lot of money ie N200,000
+ CBN approves academic tuition overseas from Nigeria with priority.
+ Housing can be paid from Nigeria.
+ Handouts are not sold overseas.
+ Basically, you need cash for transportation (which is at times free), feeding allowance and entertainment. So that $1,000 is still too much.
+ You can buy food ingredients from Nigeria to conserve forex.
+ Clubbing is cheap.
+ I don't understand why they are complaining.
PS: where can I get a boxing glove? Its boxing day
Even students of Abia State University dont require such budget per semester.Where is lalasticlala sef My brother, you are wrong. First, cbn no longer approves form A dollars for student and housing. My brother's form A has been sitting in the banknfor two goddam weeks.Secondly, 1000 usd per month is too small considering the cost of living there. Some weeks ago, I was in paris. I couldn't even pay my hotel bill of 1, 500 dollars. I had to contact my brother in u.s. to wire 2000 DOLLARS to me. The policy is evil and wicked. Do you know the card rate is 240-250 naira per dollar? I mean when you withdraw from atm abroad, the rate is way higher than the official rate. If we don't have dollars, why is estacode, subsidy andother top level government payments made in dollars?? The masses are just getting punished for the sins of the kleptocrats. |

Education › Re: Are You Having A Tough Time In Your Academics?? Read My Story by magicminister: 2:31pm On Dec 25, 2015*. Modified: 7:23pm On Jul 09, 2022 |
Jengbetiele: I just have a feeling this may be useful here for some categories of students. Let me quickly share my story with you....the best sermon is one's personal experience. I left secondary school in 2004. By 2005, I got admitted to a state university in Ekiti State. After two years of studies in Ekiti state, I discovered the program I was enrolled into was not accredited. To make the story worse, nearly all lecturers in the faculty of science avidly disliked everything about the program. It was called SLT then.
Consequently, they mark down our papers. Not only that, they called us all sorts of names like NFA, unfortunate students and the likes anyone who attended the university and did that course can attest to what I am saying. My dad happened to be a staff of the University, so I told him about the poor grades, everything I heard about the program and the intensity of the lecturer's hatred for the program all to no avail. All he said was whenever students don’t want to read, they come up with different flimsy excuses so I kept mute.
After five years of my life in that school, my dad was made one of the board members of the faculty so he saw the whole results since the inception of the program. He saw so may spill over students from year 2000, and the fact that the program has not been accredited. I was in 500 level (final year) then with a lot of carry over courses.....carry over is not a big deal in that program....people had 15. It was so worse that from 300level, you can be so sure you are already a spill over student. My father saw how bad it was and he immediately invited me to his office for a meeting. He blamed himself for not listening to me when I complained 3 years earlier and he said he would want me to transfer immediately. That was how I took my transcript using his influence. I was the first person ever and possibly the last person to get a transcript from the program. I returned to 200level in another school entirely when I ought to graduate with maybe a third class or a pass.
I wasted 5years of my life in Ekiti state University and as a result, i was so sad and depressed. Merely sitting with my younger brother's age mate turned my stomach in anger. Infact when I got to the new school, my own younger brother who I happened to be ahead of by 3years became my senior. The retrogression started affecting my grades such that attending classes became a burden. Along the line, I sat myself down and reasoned deeply about how my life has been. For crying out loud, I used to be one of the best students in secondary school. I was only unfortunate to have attended the wrong program in Ekiti. Though I wasn't given any certificate despite the number of years spent but what about the life lessons I learnt?
From that day onward, I made a concrete decision to change my attitude towards my new classmates and I began to humble myself to a fault. Above all, I began to see my new school as the golden opportunity to start afresh again. My declining grades all of a sudden began to soar so high such that I had 5.0/5.0 in one of the semesters with a bit of dedication and I ended finishing top 5 out of the class
Today, I am currently in Canada on a graduate program fully funded by a Canadian university. Up till now, I am yet to spend a dime of myself in Canada because the scholarship covered everything. Guess what? I even got two scholarships from two different universities and just last week, I got another funding again. Yes just last week! What if I had committed suicide then? Would I have seen the goodness almighty God has packaged in my future today? What I am saying in essence is you can fall as much as possible but whenever you fall and refuse to rise again is when you failed. The righteous shall fall seven times.....but they shall rise again.
Conclusively, whatever the case maybe, dust up yourself and try again. Do not give up so easily because winners never quit and quitters never win. I am sure very soon you gonna look back and smile. Every successful man or woman at some point had a share of that gloomy period when you feel you are all alone and the world is about coming down on you. But I am happy to announce to you that alot of people have tread this same path and today they have become success and point of reference in the society. My brothers and sisters, it is never how far, but how well and tough time never lasts tough people do!!!!!! [b] This is a motivational story but its bullshit to me cos you were just lucky to have atop lecturer as dad. What of the 100's of other students that didn't have such opportunity, hownwill their story end? |
