Lack of adequate knowledge is dangerous. Dangote is not an honest businessman just like 90 percent of our businessmen. That being said we need to understand that the equipment that reduces the sulphur content to below 50ppm has just started working hence those results are from the initial production of diesel around April that has been stored there for months in his tankers. any diesel production today from that refinery is below 50ppm but old diesel stored in the tanks that were produced say in May/june would be around 600ppm |

Education is hard. Being a professor or going to Harvard doesn't mean one is intelligent/smart abi na cultural hatred make this man talk like this? How is the refinery a burden for exchange rate? we import raw material and also export some of the products plus NNPC would make more usd as it sells more crude. The balance in trade can only be positive. selling more crude, exporting end products vs only importing crude oil. Tell me the trade balance here |

garfield1: You still don't get it. For your information am from Kanam and there are no indigenous Fulanis there but boggom are the plurality. Kanam is dominated by Muslims and believe me Fulanis are not up to 5% of Kanam. Which Ngas in 4 LGAs? Tarok only 2 where they are 100% but Wase is 30% Tarok at the least. There are Taroks in Kanam, Mikang, Wase, Kanke plus Langtang North & South. Meeting 5 Fulanis in Pategi, Ilorin doesn't bring them close to top 10 largest tribes in the NC & its surroundings. My top 10 largest tribes in the NC & its environs are thus in no order: 1. Tiv 2. Yoruboid 3. Igala 4. Nupe 5. Hausa/Fulani - Kindly note that Fulanis would make only 10% of the stock Hausa/Fulani. 6. Gwari 7. Berom 8. Jukun 9. Idoma 10. Ebira mentions: Tarok 3 Likes 1 Share |

garfield1: GARFIELD1 abi wetin bi that your name, you are a knowledgeable person but don't be authoritative in something you are not sure of. Fulani where is their home in NC? Mention any LGA where you can find 100k of Fulanis in NC. Where are they Beroms and Igalas? I believe there are more Beroms/Igalas than Gwari/Fulanis. In your mentions, you mentioned Ngas/Angas before Tarok. Where are they Jukuns who are the Plurality in Taraba and there are over 50k of them in each of Plateau, Benue and Nasarawa? How do you even distinguish between Hausas and Fulanis? Getting a rough estimate of Fulanis is difficult then maybe just use Hausa/Fulanis and say Fulanis are 10% of that. 2 Likes |

TILT PDP means PDP is a slight favorite LEAN PDP means PDP has a 55 to 60% chance of winning LIKELY PDP means PDP is overwhelming favourite SAVE PDP means that PDP is winning no matter what. My problem with you is that in all your analysis there is always a bias towards APC |

I don't have much to say as am not too conversant with Edo politics to that large an extent but I want to believe it is going to be a strong 2 man race between PDP and APC. If there is no rigging then I believe PDP has a slight edge. MY PROJECTIONS: TILT PDP |

Politics / Re: Dangote Refinery’s Second Crude Oil Shipment Leaves US For Nigeria by majole: 1:36pm On Mar 03 |
Guys even most of those working at the refinery don't know what is going on. In Nigeria truth is scarce. Dangote/FGN/NNPC/Nigerian press etc are not telling us the truth. Has anybody noticed that since Tinubu came to power, he has been trying to halt/bring Dangote down at all costs? Dangote has been waiting for license to start selling some crude products but the FGN through the agency responsibible for issuing license has not done so. This is a refinery designed to produce the best oil standards euro 5 that is approved by the EU, EPA, and other world agencies but Nigeria say license is not ready. Dangote can't sell any product of the refinery in Nigeria for now. Does Dangote have the money to pay for the crude in cash? maybe FGN is not willing to sell on credit to him while USA western texas is maybe willing to sell on credit for some months? Dangote Refinery is likely starting at 60,000 barrels per day for 2 weeks, then 100k bbd for another 1 month till it gets to around 300k bpd after 9 months of production. The refinery would get to 500k bpd after 2 years of 1st production. I do not envy dangote at this junction, debts must be pilling. The refinery won't make any profit in the 1st 2 years of production, it would take another 5 years before he starts making real profit |

Travel / Re: Japa - Western Countries Scamming Nigerians? by majole: 3:56am On Nov 29, 2023 |
[quote author=akingangan post=127213553]People are selling all their belongings to migrate to dying economies abroad with no jobs. The Nigerian government should start creating awareness campaigns to educate Nigerians that the grass is not greener abroad. If anything what is going on is like modern slavery where people are schemed into going abroad doing care jobs like cleaning bum and taking care of old and special needs people. Still, the earnings from these jobs will be taken from them through high rent, taxes, and penalties. People have died due to these harsh conditions People are living in horrible conditions with several families living in the same house and sharing everything including the toilet. The typical rent in London for one month is the rent for a nice house in Lekki for 1 year People are renting rooms in houses to live in People keep to themselves and usually, when a new Japa arrives they think their extended families are hostile not knowing that people keep to themselves due to work and living conditions. Reality sets in after a while when it has become too late to undo all that they've done and sold to make the move If people know the realities of these conditions they will not sell all their properties to travel abroad into the unknown Nigeria is a good country if we can stop complaining and focus on the job of building the nation to its full potential. The UK has made about $50 Billion from Nigeria in the past 2 years alone and taking unimaginable amount of skilled manpower away to be used in menial jobs YOU ARE RIGHT BUT IS STILL BETTER. WOULD YOU PLEASE KEEP QUIET |
