Bluetooth2: That is the divide and rule tactics the US used to conquer the world and it's all coming back to her. They armed Gamel abd Naseer to stop the spread of communism in Egypt who later overthrew King Farouk. They supported Shah in Iran who overthrew the hardline Islamists. Ghadaffi was a good man to them during the Libyan revolution. They armed Bin Landen during the Soviet advancement in Afghanistan. They instigated minorities against Sadam, Ghadaffi, Hosni Mubarak and now Assad.
They call them tyrants, pushed them out of circulation and install puppets to rule their new found vassal territories. In the end, these puppets wise up and turn against their one time benefactor. If ISIS became anything today, it was the US that armed them in order to fight Assad. The same US are nowing arming Iraqi shias to fight the sunnis they armed to fight another shia government in syria.
What kind of person does that ? A greedy one that wants to maintain her policy of interfering in the internal affairs of other countries ! You said it all. They take advantage of the already existing divisions in societies and countries to set it apart by arming all sites. Pretending to be peace makers n the process. |

Naughtysite: The current strength of boko haram could even be traced back to libyan weapons.. Almost all weapons used by Boko Haram comes from the trans Saharan route from Libya. The crisis in Syria was a lunchpad for the brotherhood to form ISIS under the cover of opposition democracy movement. The Syrian government at different foras repeatedly warned that most of the so called democracy groups were actualy terrorist. No one cared to listen especialy the West. Today we have ISIS not only Syria but Irag, Libya and possibly Mali. It is Ironic that as soon as the US completed their mission and left Iraq, ISIS sprangout of the blue, overunning the same Iraqi armies the US military claimed were properly trained to protect the country. As expected the world media choose to be oblivious about that sad reality. |

9jatriot: It is things like this that makes you wonder if Iraq was not better off with a so called dictator Saddam Hussein than this so called freedom they now have. Libya used to be one of the most prosperous countries in Aftica. Today it is a waste land completely torn apart by terrorist groups no thanks to Western imperialism. |

Meiji: For me, I'm a small government conservative, so I oppose Tinubu's suggestion in principle. You can't talk about the failures of state government to pay salaries, for instance, without highlighting the fact that we operate a flawed structure (aptly named "feeding bottle federalism" ) where states gather in Abuja every month to share oil money.
People like me had warned for years that such stupidity would cost this nation dearly when oil prices witness a downward trend. The reason is simple: states that keep collecting oil rents every month would inevitably get lazy and refuse to the hard work of developing and expanding the human and material resources they have.
Look for the states in financial difficulty there's only ONE way out: Downsize the workforce. Lay off workers until their Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) can take care of the civil service personnel costs and other recurrent expenditure. Then ensure that all FAAC allocations are devoted exclusively to capital and infrastructure spending as well as grants for small businesses that will boost the economy and create jobs.
Any suggestion for proper economic management that doesn't mandate the Federal and state governments to bite the bullet and downsize their bloated workforces is a ruse and a hoax.

cocoduck: useless man I read everything but found no solution to the economic problems of the Zoo the solution is this Nigerians should quit running away from their demons and run to them instead and thereby conquere them. He said nothing about True federalism which is the only solution to the problems, He used to make a lot of noise about SNC but now is the time to organize the one he thinks is the best and implement the resolutions reached. it is very simple, precise and clear even to the common man anyway common sense is the only thing that is not common in the Zoo You just made a very important point. Going through his write up, i was expecting a mention of something like Restructuring of the Nigerian economy to reflect the principles of true Federalism but found nothing. Funy enough, the austerity measure or Nairalization Tinubu is talking about works best in an atmosphere of high productivity or capitalism. Not centralism as is the case with Nigeria today. |

emmatok: Nope, if the money goes into export oriented manufacturing the economy won't collapse. Instead the economic will gain, while the CBN mop up excess liquidity. There's a limit to which government can give out credits to manufacturers to stimulate export. Government intervention on what to produce is not without it's risk unless there's a favourable economic climate, otherwise Nigeria's economy will end up like former USSR. However, printing of currency can only be done based on market forces. It works best with Capitalism. The United states prints its currencies not becase of local developmental needs but because market conditions backed by high productivity made it possible. Nigeria at the moment operate an economic model that does not encourage productivity. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu's Solution To Nigeria's Economic Problems by major466(m): 6:50pm On May 18, 2015 |
Sweetguy25: Printing money to spur productivity is not a bad idea. As long as money is used to facilitate the production of goods and services, it will boost the economy enormously. Printing money to finance a nation's developmental needs is a one-way ticket to economic collapse. |

Even though it was quite refreshing reading all these revelations from the horse's mouth, everything he said was known to most of us for sometime now. The manner in which the British Colonialist huriedly gave Nigeria independence was in itself very suspecious to great minds.
The West's major agenda for Africa is to frustrate its developmental progress. They do this covertly through colonist (Imperialist) institutions like the World Bank and IMF. They hate the idea of having a country as developed as Europe under the leadership of blacks. Unfortunately, Africans are currently being used as willing tools to destabilise the continent. |

The power to restructure Nigeria is beyond the office of the President. That power recide with the poeple of Nigeria. That was why GEJ convene the National Confrence to see how the country can be restructured. |

musicwriter: Exactly, bro!.
And this's why I no longer feel pity for Jonathan for losing the election. That man is extremely weak and incredibly inept. He had a clean chance to cripple the wings of the so called cabals who are swimming in corruption. There're so many people today that should be in jail or in exile but are walking free in the streets of Nigeria, all courtesy of Jonathan's lackluster altitude to fight corruption. Something he should've done and the masses of the people of this country will vote him in to power, even if he wanted to rule forever. I don't think Nigerian leaders understand just how Nigerians are itching to see corrupt government officials killed, if possible. Fighting this cabal is not as easy as you think. These guys are rich and powerful with enough resources to pull down the country if they so wish. The challenges in fighting corruption in Nigeria today has nothing to do with GEJ. It is a constitutional issue. The problem is the structure of Nigeria. This is what many folks do not understand. The present structure of Nigeria, currently backed by the constitution is the CORRUPTION afflicting this country. Do you know why reccurent expenditure of our budget at the federal level will always be higher than capital expenditure no matter how hard the authorities try to reduce it? Centralism (Socialism) which is Nigeria's current model. Unless Nigeria is Restructured to reflect the principle of true federalism at all levels corruption, mediocrity and underdevelopment will continue unabated no matter who is in power. |

Er0ticAngela: so we can exonerate deputy speaker emeka ihedioha who presided over the house but blame the Northern reps who we still do not know if they either supported the move or opposed it.
You n!ggas are out of your mind Whats your argument You expected Emeka to show his rejection by overiding the amended clause simply because he is the presiding officer If yes, then you got it wrong. That cannot work in a Legislature or parliament. |

Er0ticAngela: Are you people mad or something?
Why must you always blame the North for everything?
Deputy speker emeka ihedioha presided over the meeting of the house when the ammendment was made, why dont you hold him accountable? Don't get confused. A presiding officer has no power to determine the outcome of a bill or clause as the case may be with the fiasco that just happened. His job as leader of the house is to ensure smooth proceedings during plenary. That's all. |
