PoliticsRe: Terrorism: The Secret Ongoing Battle In Nigeria - Plateau State Case Study. by major466(op):
Contd...
Although Plateau state had come under immensed attack from marauders in recent times, it is not the only state faced with this challenge. Other states in similar situation include Southern Kaduna, parts of Bauchi state, Taraba state, parts of Adamawa and Benue state.

Historically speaking, the indigenes of Plateau had over the years successfuly defend themselves against invaders. At no time where they ever conquered to the point of occupation and domination. Indeed during the Jihadic years of the early 19th century the ethnic groups that made up Plateau state were never subjugated under Fulani Emirate rule. The advances of the Jihadic forces were continuously repulsed by the locals. These continued until one time the Jihadist decided to change tactics to mount a surprise attack. They skirt round the Plateau to move into other parts of the country. Lots of people don't know this. The idea behind the plan was to encycle the locals and box them in from all sites. As espected the mauraders attacked towards the late 19th century. This particular battle was known as the Naraguta war of 1873. The plan then was to decimate the local ethnic populations and bring the lots of the area under Caliphate control. That however never came to reality as the local forces namely the Beroms, Afizere, Buji, Anaguta and Amo rallied together in a combine force and defeated the invading Jihadist forces.

The European Connection.
As stated earlier, the ethnic groups of Plateau were never at one point conquered by external forces for centuries. Natural suroundings of mountains, hills, rocks and caves blended with great combative skills, the locals were able to withstand and sumount the much more sophisticated Hausa-Fulani war machine. Things however took a different turn when the Europeans arrived Plateau in 1903. As expected the Europeans met stiff resistance at first, but like any other British contact with indegenious people of Africa and elsewhere, the Europeans prevailed against the locals, no thanks to their superior firepower.

The conquest of the indigenous people of Plateau state by the British is what set the stage for Hausa-Fulani expansionism and hostilities against the people of the Middle Belt.

PoliticsTerrorism: The Secret Ongoing Battle In Nigeria - Plateau State Case Study. by major466(op):
For over a century now, the once uniquely serene and peaceful atmosphere of Plateau state, Nigeria has continued to witness seemingly unabated spates of violence and attacks resulting into wanton destruction of lives and properties. Of late, the demonic attacks around the localities of Barkin Ladi and Riyom has assumed a genocidal dimension with hurendous systematic killing of the Berom people and destruction of their means of livelyhood.

The calamity brought about by group of terrorist otherwise known as 'Fulani Marauders' on these people can only be imagine! The bouts of violence carried by these demons resulted in senseless mass killing of innocent women and children in villages of Barkin Ladi and Riyom LGAs of Plateau state. These helpless people are murdered and killed right in their homes at night or early in the morning. Still not satisfied with the blood letting, the marauders lay more ambush on innocent farmers tending their crops, killing them off right on their farms. A strategy the demons believe will stave the locals of food stuv for survival, thereby increasing their misery incredibly.

One may ask why these attackshuh Why are innocent people being killed on a daily bases in Barkin Ladi-Riyom by the Fulani Marauders and the government seems helpless to arrest the siuationhuh What do these terrorist want with Plateau statehuh Well, that is a matter for discussion for another time. But what I want the public to know is that the quest for Plateau state never started today. The battle has been on since the time of Usman Danfodio! It is on record that the dream of Uman, the Jihadist that led Jihad across Northern Niger-area at that time was to spread Islam across the entire regions from North to South.
Usman dan Fodio lived in the late eighteenth century in one of the Hausa states of Gobir. According to legend He was a scholar and a holy man. A devout muslim who was committed to the spread of Islam throughout West Africa.
As time went on he gathered a large number of followers round him. By 1804 many Fulani had accepted dan Fodio's strict Muslim way of life. The group became so strong that the ruler of Gobir according to Derek Wilson (1971) who was not a Muslim, grew frightened and soon there was fighting between his soldiers and dan Fodio's followers. In 1804 Uthman dan Fodio declared a JIHAD ( A Muslim holy war) against his enemies. In the wars which followed the Fulani were completely successful. They conquered, not only Gobir, but most of the other Hausa states and the Northern Yoruba lands.
Other devout Muslims followed dan Fodio's lead and declared Jihads in other parts of West Africa. By 1880 much of ther western Sudan was under the control of Jihadist States as noted by Derek Wilson (1971).

Because their conquest across states in present day Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Kano, Bornu and others was highly successful, they were determined to go further inland to conquer it and bring them under the rule of the Islamic Caliphate. These brought them into conflict with the indigenes of what is now Plateau state.

Christianity EtcRe: Dont Be Deceived In Church Today Brethren. by major466(m): 10:14am On Jun 14, 2015
Very true. Most of these new generation churches are just after money. They use all kinds of tricks to coarse people into giving. Now it is absolutely good to give but when it gets to the point of using psychology to get people to give, it becomes a problem. They play on people's mind saying when they give N1,000 they will reap N5,000 instantly! That is somewhat true because the more a person give the more the person recieve however, giving becomes more meaningful when done whole heartedly. God can never be manipulated nor is he a lotery machine. God looks at the heart. Do not give because your pastor influenced you to do so. Give because you want to.

Arrant nonsense and jargon filled article.

Jonathan has left Nigeria for una, you guys still feel is okay to drag him into national assembly politics that has nothing to do with him.

And Imagine the corrupt master Tinibu claiming to be a saint. Hehehehe, Nobody in Nigeria needs to be told who tinibu is, regardless of all the white-washing you people are doing to him, we still sabi am.
The article aimed to window dress Tinubu to the public and showcase him as a victim of oil cabals because of his stance against corruption. Any body who believes Tinubu will fight corruption will believe that Michel is the President of West Germany.

Another damage control article aimed at National Assembly leadership credibility. An attempt to create the impression that corrupt people were behind the emergence of Saraki and Dogara. Nothing but a beer palour gossip.
Oil cabals against Tinubu because he refused to cooperate with themhuh Complete Rubbish! Tinubu fighting corruption is like Batman singing at an Opera show. Is Tinubu not part of the cabalshuh

Ur preaching is too late.

We begged, We pleaded to them to Stop denigrating d office of d president while GEJ was incharge they never agreed. Seun and his mods gave them more support when they declared that GEJ is not a nairalander hence no offence if He was insulted. We reasoned that GEJ kids might be members n won't b happy reading insults heaped on their father, our plea was rubbished with insult upon insult.

Retar.ded, clueless, otuoke fisherman, bastard, etc where freely used on the person of d president. His wife was not spared, shepoptamus etc. All these coming from apc supporters mostly from South West.

Now the precedence has been set, no going back. No plea will Stop d retaliation. Whoever enters there must collect.

Karma!
Actually Mr Seun tried to make it an offence for a Nairalander to insult political office holders in august last year. But members of All Progressive Confidence e jet fighters kicked against it calling the attempt an infringement on freedom of expression. Cited Facebook, Twitter as examples of sites where freedom of speech is paramount. They blasted that insulting politicians especially GEJ is their fundamental human rights and nobody will take it away from them. That was how they stopped the owner of Nairaland from implementing the proposed rule.
The children of anger derived joy and happiness from insulting Jonathan every second. To them, a day without insults is like going for a whole day without food. Unfortunately for them this time around, the heat of insults has been multiplied double fold on their messiah. grin
Funny, what goes around comes around.

PoliticsRe: Why Osinbajo Has Been 'locked Out' Of Buhari’s Security Meetings - Daily Post by major466(m): 2:49pm On Jun 11, 2015
9jatriot:
Suspicion only exist in the minds of mischief makers. No one is suppose to read meanings to his absence at a security meeting if mischief makers did not spin a yarn to it. There is no evidence to show that Atiku, GEJ or Sambo attended all the security meetings held ever held.

That Osinbanjo has not attended any meeting thus far does not mean he will never attend. Moreover he has not complained to you or Tinubu that a lot of people claim to be his oga so why cry wolf?

Look at this issue critically, what use is it if Tinubu gets to hear about security related information that the press will release the info anyway. So why prevent the V.P from attending so that it does not get to Tinubu if the outcome will still come. Tinubu is more concerned with political meetings that PMB attends that have direct influence on his position, so weda VP attends security meeting or not does not add or reduce Tinubu's influence. If Osinbanjo is going to be a spy, it will be on political matters, alliances and contracts not security meeting.
Time will tell.

This response answers it.

So if he was not invited, how was he shut out ?
Did he get to the door of a meeting he was not invited to and was bounced expectedly ?

My stance remains, if he is prevented from attending a FEC meeting, do call me until then keep helping these dying news papers to sell the market
Your agument that the vice president have to be invited to security meetings before participating is error. I know there are instances were a vice president may not be privy to every vital security informations in some climes. However, the office of vice president is entitled to attend security council meetings as second in command of the federal republic. That is the privilage attached to that office. Anything contrary only shows that Buhari does'nt trust his vice. There will never be hermonious working relationship bettween them if one party is suspicious of the other.

Nigerian issues too plenty for the 2 of them to attend same meeting if it is not absolutely necessary. If and when they lock him out of FEC meeting, only then can you raise an alarm, for now, saTANoids are just trying to create divisions within the rank and file of the presidency, hopefully the actors will be too matured for all these distractions
Stop beating about the bush. Even deputy govs attend security meetings in their respective states, not to talk of the number two individual in Nigeria in the position of a vice presidenthuh All is not well with Buhari and his vice.
