Hello Zocken

It depends on how you wanna go about this...

1. Some hide their previous Msc and just make use of their Bsc to apply for their Visa application with a Msc LOA and get their Visa... But with this, you will have to remain silent on your previous MSc all through your stay in Canada to avoid misinterpretation later in the future i.e when applying for PR and also Citizenship cos Canada keep records of the details of all applicants from the very 1st time you apply for your study permit Visa or any kinda IRCC visa..

2. Some declare their previous Msc and apply for their Visa application with a new Msc LOA and get their Visa.. But with this, you must be more than ready and capable to convince the Visa officer on why you are going for another Msc and not PHD which is a higher degree.. You can do this with a strong and convincing SOP and LOE...

Peace

Zocken:
Good morning guys. Please help sharw your thoughts on this. For someone who has Bsc Accounting, is it advisable to study PDG Accounting (2 yrs) or Master of Management (1 yr)? She has Msc, but has decided to be silent on that. Also, she has work experience of over 10 years as an Auditor, but the pay is less than 80k (government job). She is into property business and event planning. Candid views please

Hello Champ

Sorry for the late response, I have been so occupied in the past days...

Now to your question, Have you informed the clinic of this? i.e The timeline for you to do your Medicals, cos I wanna assume the clinics should give priority to Medical request applicants than Upfront Medical Applicants...

Since its only Qlife you contacted, you can also contact IOM to see if they can give you a closer date..

But in all, I will advise you go to the clinic very early in the morning with your Medical request letter and let them know that the deadline for your medicals is very close and plead with them, do not relent. I am sure they will consider you..

I know somebody that did this and did his Medicals that same day, but the person got their as early as 6am..

Also you can meet someone that has a closer date that is willing to give out the date, I remember one moniker putting it up on this thread of not interested in doing his/her Upfront Medicals and wanna give the date out.... So try to go through previous post and see if you can come across that Post...

So do any of this suggestions, I am sure you will find a way doing your Medicals..

Hope this helps..

Peace

Hi Makano,

I couldn't get a date (within 30days IRCC gave me ) to do the medicals, the next available date is 9th November with Qlife.
Is there a way to go about it?
I also saw it on my medical form that if I couldn't get a date within the 30days window period, I should inform the IRCC office ASAP.
Will this in anyway affect the processing or influence the decision ?

Yea, seen

I have updated it.. Check my last post

I gave the advise based on my friend that entered Canada early this year and changed DLI without re-applying.... I had to go research on it again to be very sure and I saw it on their website of the new development...

I have shared the link in my last post..

Good one from you..

GodsGabby:
On ircc website, it says "if you change DLI after your visa has been approved, you must apply again for a new study visa'

Please confirm before someone does the unthinkable.

Hello childgodlyyy

Contrary to this my post some minutes ago, you will have to apply for another study permit application if you change DLI..

IRCC made this new rules some months ago.. Another alternative is for you to attend the school you got your study permit for at least a semester and then you can do a transfer after informing IRCC...

MY last post where I told you that you do not need to re-apply was still possible early this year because a friend of mine did change school when he got to Canada without re-applying..

So this change is a recent development from Canada... SO if you wanna change DLI, then you will need to re-apply even after getting approved..

Read the link below as a backup to my claims

You do not need to re-apply, You can change DLI even after getting your Visa approved..

You will just need to inform IRCC of your change of DLI with convincing reasons...

You will need to inform IRCC through your Online account

Peace
childgodlyyy:
Thank you so much for your reply. That’s a relief. Do I inform them via webform? I read online that I would need to change my DLI on the mycic account but even after logging in I could find no such option. So I’m very confused.
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by makano: 9:46pm On Sep 23, 2021
Hello Champ

This is my candid advise..

Your application is on its way to being approved after a medical request from IRCC....

Go ahead and do your Medicals, and wait for IRCC to ask for your updated LOA (do not send until they ask). You do not need to raise any webform to inform them of your new date since you are not in a hurry to leave the country cos of your deferral till next year Fall..

This new development can't have any negative effect on your application. Once you get your PPR, it will be valid for a year from the date it was stamped on your Passport i.e You will need to leave Nigeria to Canada within a year, which will be very okay for you..

So next step is to go do your Medicals, after which you will have to wait for IRCC to request for your updated LOA..

wish you the best

Peace
ChampO:
Hi guys,
Please, I need some advice/clarification on this:
I have my application with IRCC already since June (student visa application), (I got to know of upfront-medicals recently, when I read through the previous threads here). The course registration ended yesterday for my department and because I didn’t really want to do this online classes, I decided to defer my admission to fall 2022 yesterday.
The university already sent me a new admission letter this afternoon. This evening I got an update from IRCC to go and do medicals . I am not sure if I should raise a webform and update them that my new start date is sept 2022.
Any advice?
Will this new changes in my start date in any way affect my current visa application?
Do you think I could be asked to start a new visa application?

What I posted here is the recommended GCMS site they can get their GCMS notes, and they will need someone that resides in Canada to get it..

What you talking here, about them doing it themselves is a 3rd party site which we do not recommend here..

So be specific when countering someone's post..

Hello Safetysmile

Why will they tell you to do another one?

Is your medicals over one year, cos that is one major reason to do another Medicals..

If truly you have done your Medicals, keep bombarding IRCC via Webform and Email with your E-Medical sheet attached until IRCC updates your Medicals to Passed...

But if your Medicals is over a year, then you need to do another Medical..

Peace
Safetysmile:
Dear Nairalanders, I'm a silent reader; I appreciate all you are doing here.

Please, I submitted my application with an upfront medical. However, I did the medicals much more than 12 days before the submission. Now I have been requested to send my medicals by IRCC, I sent webform (upfront medical slip) to them that same day and a mail attaching the slip ystrday.

I called Qlife customer care line to help resend, I was to told they can't resend but I can do another one.

The problem is not the money but I am with 3kids and no hubby around to help.

Pls & pls gurus in the house what is my best step to make IRCC update my medical without traveling to Lagos for another.

NB:
Has anyone been in this condition b4 pls throw some light

So why cant he give you access to your IRCC profile/account, which is more important. So you can know what is actually going on with your application..

Tell him to give you access to your application because you have the right to know what is going on with your Application..

On the other hand, since you have your UCI, you can apply for your GCMS notes to follow the progress of your application since the day you applied....

Hello Bukun

Unfortunately, this is one of the "benefits" you get when you use an agent..

Agents do not carry their applicants along with their application, they tend to make you know everything is going on well, whereas things are not going on well with such application... And there is no how such applicants can know what's going on because this set of "Wicked people" have side-lined applicants from knowing anything that goes on with their applications..

I had an instance of an applicant that came crying to me that is there anything I can do that his application came with a 5 year Ban just because his agent was evil all through his application... His agent applied with a fake account and after some months IRCC sent the applicant PFL to explain the SOA he submitted, but because the applicant used an agent and he never knew what was going on, he didn't get the message but the agent got the Message and didn't do anything... It was when he ordered for his GCMS notes that he saw that IRCC had issues with the SOA IRCC requested for an updated SOA, and when he couldn't provide an updated SOA within the Timeframe, then IRCC landed him a 5 year Ban... I told him there is nothing I could do after a ban, as I am not the PM of Canada neither am I an MP.. I only guide applicants from start to finish in applying for their Study visa and getting it..

I am sure your agent didn't use your email to be getting info from IRCC, am sure he didn't give you ur UCI or application number... Just pray he hasn't done anything in your application that will warrant a ban..

I will advise you order for your GCMS notes to see and know what is actually going with your application and also to know if IRCC has requested for any document...

Truth be told, that agent will keep you in the dark all through the processing of your application..

Peace
Bukuns2000:
Hi everyone, I have a problem, I chatted my agent few days ago that I need to know if there is any update on my application and he replied that there is no update to report though I submitted my application July, I know that it might be to early to be expecting anything but am just anxious, I want to be looking at my application everyday, I also want to know should Incase IRCC is asking for any additional documents but this guy is not telling me anything, he is just saying the application is in process, am sure that if I ask him for my gckey details he is most likely to decline, so should I just retrieve the account from him without him knowing or I should be patient. He was recommended by a family friend who is now in Canada through this agent and this agent is based in Canada. Please I need your suggestions. It is just that I joined this platform after I submitted my application and I saw that alot of people have condemned this agents or else I would have done it myself

Hello TheRealLady

Most applicants go through the Online route majorly cos of the Covid restriction from going physically to VFS centres and also for Convenience reasons, but when its time for your Biometrics, there is no online route for that...

You will need to book go to the VFS center in Ikate Lekki to do that...

No route is faster than the other, as the timeline of applications is not determined by the route you choose to apply with..

Hope this helps

If its past your resumption date and your application is to be approved, IRCC will definitely send a request for an updated LOA..

So if its past your resumption date and your application is still in progress, you can send your updated LOA...

When the time comes for IRCC to ask for your updated LOA, instead of them requesting for it, they will just update your profile with the LOA since you have submitted it...

Hello Patrick

Possibly, to the bolded....

And as regards your mails to Nairobi, Nairobi has probably been re-directing your mails to Accra..

And that is how all IRCC canters do, once a query is sent by an applicant to a paerticular IRCC center that does not handle that application, they re-direct it to the office in charge of the application..

For instance If London is in charge of My application, and I send mails and Webforms to Beijing IRCC office, Beijing will check my file to check if its one of the application they are handling, and if it is not, they re-direct it to London Office i.e the Office in charge of my application....

So your mails have not been in vain..

The reason I am asking is because I am thinking of heading to a diff country first to hustle small money for school fees and living expenses before shooting my shot at Canada.

Please go do an upfront Medical, that is if your previous medicals is over a year..
After doing your medicals, you will be given a slip at the clinic, make sure you submit this slip to IRCC through a webform or email..

Find below the list of IRCC approved Medical centers..

IOM is 46K
Qlife is 40k (with the exception of a change in the Price)

Did IRCC ask for these things you submitted?

If at all IRCC will request a document from you as regards your deferral, it will be your updated LOA..

This is what IRCC is actually interested in and not receipt of payment...

If your application is in the route of approval, your updated LOA will be requested by IRCC..

Or once you have it, you can send it as webform or email so they wont need to ask for it again when its time for them to ask for it....
