So if everybody is like you and decide not to assist peeps because you dont have ur Visa yet, how will this thread be informative. For ur Information 2 of the most knowledgeable gurus here presently i.e frankrobbn1, jnyuwa02 havnt gotten their Visas yet but when they answer questions here, you will think they work in the embassy cos of the depth of information they possess. Also if you have been reading this thread from the beginning, you will see where peeps that have gotten their visas thank Frankrobbn1 and other gurus for contributing to their success whereas they havnt gotten their own Visa yet. Even me, 3 of the peeps that I have personally guided have gotten their Visa while am still waiting for my own. Also most of the peeps that have gotten their Visa, once they enter Canada, they forget about this thread, so if someone that is very knowledgeable about this Visa application do not render help here because he or she doesn't have a Visa yet, who will now answer the questions that the newbies post here and how will this thread be more active? So Mr man I will advise if you don't have anything meaningful to say, you can just be a silent reader and do not discourage peeps that are doing a good Job here.. You can come for me tho, it wont remove anything from me.. Peace vibrant99: Let us to be a little sincere here.....
You don't have Visa, You are here advising people, is it on the process or on the Assurance?
You Applied for visa like every other person here, You advise people that are also applicant?
Please don't get me wrong, i am a bit confused here.
How about we all pretend that we don't know anything and keep shut?
I just saw where someone whose Visa is pending explaining to another person whose Visa is pending on how to fast track the whole thing!
The truth is , Canada wont Reject you application if you are very sincere, 85% of Nigerians applying are not sincere with their applications.
Apply as you are, This people work with Nigerians as their consultants, Keep submitting lies and expecting Visa. |

I can see you dont really have a gap. In additon to what I have said earlier, you really need to work on ur SOP by convincing the VO that you are truly going to Canada to study and nothing more, and this should be very easy for you cos I can see Career progression in ur application. So settle down and take your time to write a convincing SOP, I will also advise you write an LOE in ur next application countering the reasons for ur refusal.. Pick them one by one and tackle them individually. And also work on ur Finances and submit relevant financial documents to proof ur financial capabiliy.. I hope you get ur visa in ur next application with tis little info I have shared. Peace vibbb: Graduated 2014 , NYSC 2015-2016.

I wanna assume they send replies to the email address that was submitted with the Visa application. And mayb probably the agent submitted his own email address, which means he would have gotten the automated response. You know these agents can be funny atimes, they tend to hide so many things from the applicants. So ur friend should call the agent to know if he got the response or not(He may lie tho) clock89: Hello guys, good day everyone. I’m asking this on behalf of a friend who applied for study visa via an agent. Her application just crossed 5 months, it’s at Kenya. I raised a CSE(Webform) on her behalf yesterday using her email address. I haven’t gotten an automated response or any feedback. Is this normal? Could it be it was sent to the agent instead?
I ask because Ottawa always sends an automated response when I raise a CSE, I’m a PR applicant. |

Nice one bro.. The wait can be really derailing tho, but we must still do our best answering peoples questions to keep the thread alive and informative.. For your info tho, 042viberis ma twin on this thread tho, cos we applied almost the same time, waiting for the same thing which is medical request, so I cant attack my Twin , I was just surprised with his knowledge of the Canadian tingy he could ask such question even after seeing clearly the VO isnt satisfied. You also doing a great Job here Austacus(dunno if you have gotten ur Visa or not tho) may God grant us our heart desires very soon. Peace Austacus: Honestly speaking, I don't like how you guys talk to 042viber for some weeks now Common, this guy visa is pending, trust me, he's facing a lot, yet he takes his time to respond to people’s question accordingly. Please, we should be careful of words. Words, when said and articulated in the right way can change someone's mind, otherwise can destroy someone happiness by using only your words. A simple choice of word can make a difference between someone accepting or denying your message. Ps: what he said is very professional to me. ”have you been denied visa?” if he has been denied the visa, there would be ”SP REFUSED”. the problem could actually come from the poster maybe he/she omitted it. It's very possible he/she hasn't been denied the visa and get that feedback from the VO via Gcms note. if he/she tackles it asap before the final decision, then the VO may change his/her mind. @042viber the VO have sent your application to Lagos for secondary review. That was why you got a mail from lagos visa office. The other girl, what i was expecting to see is an active review not an active process Anyway, all good cause it will definitely end up in good news. God pass them
Nwannem keep doing the good work. God will bless you Your testimony is pretty close.
@makano you are also doing a great job here, it's not easy, it will surely end in praise for you and others. The wait is derailing.
Bless up |

To properly answer ur questions, I will need to ask you some questions? 1. Do you have any gaps from the time you finished school to the time you started working, if yes, how many years? 2. How much was in ur statement of account and that of ur Sponsor?(Closing balance). Cos with the look of things here, they had issues with ur financial capability and you didnt convince them enough that you are genuine student that will return back. For the travel history, that one isnt an issue even if you have not traveled before, if you can tackle the remaining issues/reasons for refusal, then travel history will disappear. Peace vibbb: Good day house, pls i need proper interpretation to this GCMS note, thnks and God blesss. Pls Note: I studied Chemical Engr (1st degree) and i applied for masters in chemical engr. Working as a chemical engr. in an oil and gas company.
Previous travel not sufficiently demonstrated. Considering relevance of program, applicant’s travel history, available assets/funds, family ties and reasons to return to home country for general establishment in the home country. Given the PA’s assets /available funds I am not, satisfied it is logical given the cost of studying in Canada. I am not satisfied the course of study makes sense given PA’s history and education which leads to concerns the PA’s is leveraging the SP program as an entry to Canada and not for academic reasons. I am not satisfied that PA’s is sufficiently established to motivate them to leave CDA at the end of an authorized stay. |

With ur "Knowledge" of this Canada tingy, I Can't believe you just asked that question? You can see the VO pointing several reasons why he or she is not satisfied bout the applicant's application, you still asking if he has been denied Visa. Even if he hasnt been denied Visa yet, with what I just read on his GCMS note, its a very big refusal.. 042viber12: Have u been denied visa? |

We have peeps that have applied since MAY 2018 (9 months) without any Response.. Well, to my observation on the final decisions of like 5 peeps (That I knw of on this thread) that have waited so long, 4 of them have gotten positive response, while 1 got a refusal. So I wont be too wrong to conclude that most of us waiting for so long will definitely get our Visas.. So if u are in the category of peeps that wanna withdraw ur application cos its taking too long, I will advise you all to have a re-think cos u may be withdrawing ur Visa Approval. Bro, in as much u are doing a good Job answering peeps questions here, I will advise you get the authenticity of ur information before putting it up here, so you wont mislead many peeps here.. There is no where on CIC website where a particular amount is needed for an applicant or the sponsor to have. Peace 042viber12: Impressed how far u have gone, but I have some pointers to make...your SOA whixh is 1.7mil...if u ask me...it's not enough, u might be turned down on grounds of not having enough funds..in CIC standards, your own SOA should have a balance of 5mil while your sponsor should have at least 1 5mil..the idea is they want to see that u have enough money to take care of your self even if the sponsors money isn't available...On your SOP u need to explain how the sponsor relates to you, why is he is sponsoring you...age is not a barrier if u wanna seek education in canada..som1 older than has gotten his visa and already in class...so don't worry..On your SOP, u need to explain why u wanna do that cos, they need to see a career progression cos the VO will be wondering why a sales person is going for this course..u also need to explain the goals and employment possibilities in your home country...that way u handle the issue of the VO thinking u want come back after studies... |

Upfront or no Upfront, Its possible you get Medical request while still on Background check, but in cases like this Eligibility Review comes with the Medical Request.. I have seen 2 cases of applicants in this category. Read up from previous thread to get the facts.. But most of the time Eligibility review comes before Medical Request. Its just on few occasions we get Medical requests while still on Background check.. Very True Frank. When also reviewing one GCMS note from a moniker here some months back, I also noticed Canada VOs dont give regards to countries like Ghana, Dubai, Malaysia, South Africa for travel history cos the moniker has actually traveled to these countries and still got refused for travel history and purpose of Visit. Was surprised Justwise could make such false claims tho, a whole moderator.. But I still respect Justwise tho.. Na still Boss las las. Frankrobbn1: @Justwise, The information put forward by you is false.
US visa refusal has no direct negative effect to a Canada Study Visa and will not be an automatic reason for a refusal. It is noted that Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand and other first-rate European countries collaborate with each other by sharing and making information available on visa matters to every one.
With that said, when filling a Canada Study permit IMM1294E application form, under the background information section 2: A question is thrown to every applicant: Have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada OR any other country?
On the account that the applicant can veraciously and truthfully answer the above question as stated on the form, signifying that he/she has been refused a visa to the US, also indicating the reason for the refusal, and the date of visa rejection. There is no red flag and would not adversely affect the outcome of the Canada Study Permit.
After reviewing this part (background check), the visa officer move on to check the application entirety to know if the applicant ties is sufficient enough to compel their departure after studies and the likelihood of the applicant not to over stay their visit to Canada after the authorized period of stay. The visa officer will also check if the applicant have legitimate and adequate financial resources to support their planned study in Canada and to ascertain that the applicant wouldn't be a burden to the Canadian government or have any recourse to public funds during the course of study in Canada.
Consequently, provided that the applicant can show sufficient ties to their home country, the reasonableness of undertaking the program in Canada and adequate and legitimate source of funds to cater for their stay. The visa officer has no objection but to approve the application based on the information presented by the applicant.
Cc: Emiyrab will tell better about the above information presented by me.
Therefore, to recapitulate, NO a US visa refusal without a ban or criminal record has no negative effect for a Canadian study visa.
As regards to South Africa and Dubai being a good travel history. The answer is NO. A good travel histories for a Canadian study visa are trips to first-rate countries namely.... US, New Zealand, UK, Australia, Ireland, Paris, Turkey etc.
I was reviewing an applicant GCMS note last week, and the visa officer stated: "The applicant's prior travel history is insufficient to count as a positive factor in my assessment." Mind you, the applicant has travelled to Ghana, South Africa and Dubai. This is a clear evidence that these countries do not count as a travel history.
Cc: Austacus is very right with his stand point.
Cheers! |

The statement isnt correct. Medical result is valid for one year. If someone gets refused and applies within the duration of a year of doing upfront medicals, that medical result is still very much valid. Medical result is for a year and gets invalid after a year. Peace 042viber12: Pls people rushing to go do upfront medicals immediately after submission, despite the fact upfront medicals fastens it and by "fastens" it means it will still stay the normal 3-5months or hopefully less, wen it gets to the eligibility review stage, it goes directly to passport request... mind u, cic doesn't care if u do the Medicals..if u are denied..its more like u have wasted money on doing it...I believe even we u reapply, u will still do another medical(might be wrong shaa) I urge if u are doing upfront medicals, wait for at least 2months after submission..so dat by the 2months, u will probably have a clue wea your application progress is... |

You can get this through google.. No one can help you write ur SOP. Google SOP samples, and you will get several results. But basically SOP is about 1. Talking bout ur background 2. Why Canada and not Nigeria. 3 Why the course you going to study 4. Why the school. 5. How will the course you going for benefit you in the nearest future in your home country. And most importantly, make sure you convince them you are coming back home after your studies, this is where ur home ties will really be out to work. Like i said earlier, if you want samples, go online and do ur research. Peace Chukwuemekatehi: Can you help me with clue on how to write a convincing SOP? |

If you are applying for the first time, then SOP is enough and you don't need an LOE. LOE is basically for tackling reasons for previous refusals. Say u have been refused once, then u can add an LOE in ur second application highlighting the reasons for ur previous refusals and also giving convincing reasons to tackle the refusal.. Hope this helps. Peace johnsonsegxy: I am going for undergraduate program! I did SoP not LoE... Is it okay? What do u suggest
