Thanks bro.. I have a Programming(Java) certification tho, do you think that will work with my 1st degree?
GboyegaD:
If you are below 31years of age, max out IELTS, and have a sibling who is a PR or Citizen. If you do not have a sibling to get the extra 15points, then the max you can get with a BSc would be 441 which is also possible but with the high cut off points of late might take a while. However, if you have another qualification like HND or OND/Diploma/NCE/some other recognized professional certificates with a BSc, then you are good. Another option might be exploring Provincial Nomination. You can consult the FSW/EE thread for more information.

Is it possible to get PR through EE without a Masters degree but more than 5 years work experience?
Naijaforeigner:
Why people still use agent to process application is confusing to me. What most of these agents do is simply submit an application for you based on experiences of other candidates. These experiences can be gotten on this forum for free. So why use agents? Most of these agents come to this forum to learn and what they learn here is what they sell to you.

Most of these agents you all go to pay money all started on this forum (they were groomed here). They combined peoples experiences and information they got on here to start their business. Please stay woke. Is it not funny you will end up paying above 200k for an application and your visa is still not guaranteed? So why pay so much for what you can get for free here?

Please and please, If you have work experience, just go via PR route (it makes life so easy for you). There are so many hurdles to cross when applying for Study permit. You need to convince the Visa officer you will come back on the completion of your program, you need to show travel history (in some cases), Pay huge fees for study and then show money for maintenance.

The major challenge with PR is doing well in IELTS and it is not that hard. You don't have to prove home ties because they know you are going permanently, you don't have to pay huge fees for education (once you get PR, you will go to school for a small fee), the visa process is almost same time with study permit, You will school and work without restrictions and in most cases, you don't even need to show so much money in your SOA unlike TRV above.

It is well.

Paying tuition does not guarantee ur Visa.. We have seen peeps here getting their Visa without paying chichi to the school they applied to.. And we have seen peeps paying full tuition and still got refused. You can go ahead to pay ur tuition tho, if thats what u want, but make sure u know the refund policy of the school.. Peace
Johnsonkelvin:
you're in support of paying tuition (half or full) before study permit applications right?

First and foremost, if you apply for a study permit visa with this mentality of "Greener Pasture", I am sorry to burst ur bubble, U will be refused even before u apply. Reason is cos u wont be able to convince the VOs that u are going to Canada solely for studies and coming back to Nigeria. So if u are going for greener pasture just jejely go to express entry, but if you are going to Canada to study, then welcome on board and do ursef some good by going to the 1st page of this thread(Part 15) and read up on vital infos and stories of successful applicants. Then after reading, if u dnt still understand, then u can come back here and ask ur questions. Peace

I will assume you are one of those that ran away from this thread after you have gotten ur Visa.. I dont just understand peeps like you, before u got this Visa, u obviously got tangible infos from this thread that was helpful in securing ur visa, but u turned ur back on this thread immediately you got ur Visa.. But all of a sudden u remembered this thread cos u need the help of the thread again, it doesn't work that way bro.. You have benefited from this thread prior to ur Visa, now that u are in Canada, give back to the thread. And to answer ur question, with the experience I have gotten from this thread, CIC contacts these banks. If I can remember Vividly, there was a moniker here(I think Part 13) who said his bank contacted him that the Canadian embassy contacted them concerning the authenticity of his bank transactions. SO if ur close associate is planning of using a forge account, be rest assured that he or she will be caught and banned for 5 years or even sent to jail(cos I think their is major punishment for that). So dont even try it. Peace.
kennykentipsy:
Hi everyone it been a while here life in Canada has kept me really busy...
I greet you guys for a job weldone.
I have a quick question which was asked by a close associate.. Does CIC verify bank statements transactions and balance ?? if yes would banks be willing to release such sensitive information ?? or do you need to give consent to bank to release these info? Thanks smiley

For study permit, No. It may even work against you.. But for express entry, Yes.. It will add to ur score.

Ok. The last time I checked it was 28k, that was why I advised the moniker to go do his research in case there is an update in the price..

I can see you just joined this thread last month, so its obvious u dnt know much.. If u are very knowledgeable about this Visa application process,u will knw that nigga is most times off points with his "FACTS" here. Most of his posts are to discourage many peeps on this thread. Imagine him discouraging peeps with wide range of knowledge on this Canadian tingy from helping peeps on this thread just cos they havnt gotten their Visa yet.. Most Gurus on this thread havnt even gotten their Visa but despite that, they still pour down their knowledge to newbies like you, so you can be successful with ur visa application. That nigga hasnt helped many peeps like u have said here. If you wanna talk about peeps that have helped many peeps here, then u should be mentioning peeps like frankrobbn1, jnyuwa02, Austacus, Naijaforeigner, Bracha e.t.c and not that Clown.. Peace
Stevenssen:
He isn't 'so clueless' because you disagreed with him on some issues. The guy has actually helped so many people here. Everyone is wrong sometimes

Lol.. I have been observing the Vibrant guy, the guy is so confident saying rubbish.. I have noticed him since the day he spat out rubbish saying that no one without Visa has the right to give advise on this thread to newbies... Make una just ignore am.. He is so clueless.. Nice Job you doing here Naijaforeigner, even tho u have gotten ur Visa u still come up here to render help, unlike peeps in ur shoe that never return here.. Good Job.
Naijaforeigner:
Some peole will not kill me with laugh on this forum. I never knew we had Visa officers on Nairaland, see the way he is even saying FACTS with confidence.

How do u mean recall? You can only withdraw ur application with convincing reasons sent to the embassy why you wanna withdraw ur application, and they will either grant or not grant ur request.. But in ur case, I will advise you write them asap concerning the errors made in ur application, so it wont have a negative outcome in ur application. If I may ask, whats errors are you talking about?
dubajek:
please how do I recall my application. I submitted two weeks ago but found out that there is an error on my application. kindly help

What kinda question is this? You are going to a school in Canada and not US for God sake.. Even when applying online for Visa application the currency is in CAD, not to talk of paying into a school in CANADA. no insult intended, that question was just too funny and confused for me.. Canadian have their own currency which is the CAD, and anything paid into Canada must be in CAD... Peace

You dont need to be worried.. You obviously applied for a TRV which means Temporary Residence Visa, and we all know a study permit Visa is also a TRV not Permanent Residence Visa.. SO you have nothing to worry about.. IF they had put Visiting or PR, then thats when u can have something to worry about.. So calm down..
042viber12:
Dear xxxx,

This is in response to your enquiry regarding your application for temporary residence.
Your application is still in active process and we are making every effort to complete processing as expeditiously as possible.

You will be notified once the application is finalised.

Kind regards,

Why does this reply say that but not study permit? Do I need to be worried?

Normally Immediately ur Visa is approved, the correspondent letter should be sent. But we have seen applicants here complaining that they didn't get it immediately after their visa was approved. For Paper applicants, the correspondent letter comes back to you with the passport, while online applicants can download the document from their profile after your Visa has been stamped on ur passport..
Dan1936:
Thank you

Please at what point do they send correspondent letter?

Is it at the point of returning the passport?
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by makano: 7:55pm On Feb 14, 2019
As the name implies, Passport request letter is the letter CIC sends to an applicant requesting for the applicant's passport so that the applicant's Visa can be stamped on it from the embassy. This only applies to online applicants tho, as paper applicants would have submitted their passports with their applications. While Correspondent letter is that important letter you will take with you to the POE in Canada, you will have to show the officer there, so they can issue you your student permit for ur entry into Canada proper.. Hope this helps..
Dan1936:
Evening guys

Please what's the difference between correspondant and passport request letter?

Which one am I supposed to submit with my original passport for stamping??

I have been following ur conversation with dt Vibrant guy or wats his name? I will advise you ignore him. When going through his comments, I noticed he was the same person dt made a senseless statement yesterday blaming peeps for rendering help here when they know they have not gotten their visa, u can just imagine that kinda statement from a "supposed" adult. So I will totally agree with you, its obvious he is an agent looking for Clients, if not he wont have made that silly statement yesterday and also he wont have asked you to contact him privately. Just ignore him totally, and pour ur questions here, so many kind peeps are here to answer ur questions.. Peace

I guess you are an agent looking for clients, if not you won’t request I send you a mail. I pity those that patronize you because it seems you have problem with comprehension

God bless you for this bro.. Keep repping us in Canny Land.. We coming to join you soon by God's grace.. smiley
Naijaforeigner:
This is very wrong bro. Most people who are in Canada studying hardly have time to comment on this thread once they step foot in Canada because education here is very demanding (I schooled previously in UK and I know what I am talking about). I am in Canada today because of the grace of God and the information people like Frank and Jnyuwa dropped freely on this forum (I am eternally grateful to these two).

Some of the information people like Auctacus, O42viber12, Makano have dropped on here, I don't even know half. We all are learning and anyone can contribute to the thread.

Someone who applied and got his visa within 4 weeks may likely not know as much as someone who was refused visa or had to wait almost 7 months for his or her own visa. Let us be guided.
