You subscribed to a monthly update from CIC, that is why u are getting this.. Its not related to a favourable response, its a normal thing to those that subscribe to the monthly update.. Peace hardeholar1: Good morning I got this mail from cic this morning There have been no updates to your application (S302428699) since you last checked your account. Thank you for your patience. Should I be expecting a favourable response on my application in days to come Will like to know the experience of approved applicant Because this is the first reply I will get from cic after the request to come for my biometrics on the 8/3/2019 |

To all May June and July applicant slide in my pm, I have a secret for you guys.
I actually went to anifowoshe on Wednesday. The person I met just like me at first sight and he told me the secret then he prayed for me and wish me good luck. I may go back there and tell him thank you.
This visa suffered me. The day I did my biometrics, VAC was still working till 8 pm that day, I left home around 7 and left VAC 7 pm. I was sleeping on steering... I almost had an accident that very day but God came through for me. So whenever I remember that day and imagine why my visa is still pending, tears will drop from my eyes and I will look up to God.
I contacted more than 150 MPs (senators) in Canada then on Wednesday I gathered mind and drive straight to Anifowoshe.
I was in the movies watching “Hotel Mumbai” as soon as they finished the movie, I saw the alert in my email address.
I will recommend you guys to watch that movie and thank me later.
God is indeed faithful Nara ekele chineke. May June July, don’t lose hope, your visa is sooner. Don’t forget to hit my pm. “God answers prayers”
God bless everyone that is reading this my success story. Whatever you ask from God, don’t give up, he knows your worries. He will answer your prayer.
“When God wants you to grow, he makes you uncomfortable”
Please don’t mind my typo error. I am so eegxited. |

You paid and did it again because you previously did it before 31st July 2018.. For those that wanna re-apply, if ur previous bio metrics was done before 31st July 2018, you will need to do it again.. But if you did ur last Biometrics from August 1st 2018 till date, u wont need to do it again for the next 10 years.. Just had to point that out cos I have noticed many questions have been asked as regards that... Peace 95seun: Your UCI is your unique client identification number, it is an identifier so it shouldn’t affect your application, however it might result in the biometric information from your previous application not being recognized / applied to the new application.
If you’ve linked your application online, you would be able to see your current application, as well as all your previous applications but importantly you would be able to see if the biometric information you submitted has been applied to the new application.
I see you brought the issue of redoing Biometric up in a previous post, there’s a tool on the CIC website that you can use to verify the validity of your biometric information.
From experience, the VAC in Lagos can be wishy washy. I remember I was billed for the biometric fees when I reapplied through them, even though I didn’t do biometrics and my biometric information was still valid. I did the first biometric test 13 July 2018, paid again October 16, 2018.
Hope this helps |

Bracha were all ur applications online? If ur 2 previous applications were paper route, u dont need to put any UCI on ur online application.. Bracha: @Gunit87 I don't think it'd have any negative effect(s). I did this too; I didn't know what a UCI was, so in all 3 applications I didn't write any. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by makano: 10:11pm On Apr 04, 2019 |
You should have written ur UCI if u have applied before.. You only leave it blank if u are applying for the first time.. I hope ur action wont have any negative effect on ur application.. Gunit87: Please did you write the same UCI number on all applications?? because in my last application I left it blank, I didn't write the one on the initial refusal. |

It depends on the school.. But you do not need to pay any fees to get ur Visa.. We ahve seen many peeps here getting their Visa without paying kobo for fees.. Peace peruz: Please,I want to ask ,is it compulsory for an applicant to pay part of tuition before applying? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by makano: 10:19pm On Apr 03, 2019 |
Bracha are you in Canada already, cos i know you have gotten ur Visa in a while now.. Bracha: I applied thrice and did biometrics thrice; twice in 2017 and one in 2018. Please do the biometrics, I don't think they want to scam you. The longer this waits, the longer the start of your application processing is delayed. Good luck. |

Yes its normal.. My previous refused application was like this too(dt was in 2017) and i had to do another biometrics when i applied July last year.. So its normal, go do ur biometrics and this will be the last for the next 10 years. Peace Gunit87: Thanks for the response. but my former application says it will expire 2027. |

I am a silent reader on on this platform, I can see the frustration of May/June/July applicant awaiting decision, I applied June and had same issue, I had to send a new LOA few days ago and surprisingly my medical Request pulped up. I advise you send a new LOA if your former letter has expired. Best of luck to us all. |

Its valid for 10 years from July 2018.. That was the reaosn you were asked to do it again.. Gunit87: please I submitted my application online 2 days after that I was requested to pay $85 for biometrics before they could proceed with my application despite the fact that I did biometrics 2 years ago for a study permit which was refused. I think biometrics is valid for 10 years, why the request to pay again?? Kindly advise please.... |

Did you get a medical request(and you did the medical and passed) and did you get a passport request? (thats if u applied online).. If ur answer is no to both questions then am afraid its a refusal.... But do not be broken by this, u can always re-fire and get ur visa.. Peace Ukaivbemiles: Hello guys what thud it means? Nice suggestion bro.. Noted. If only I can get the contacts of either the immigration minister or the Prime minister of Canada.. Its well.. 9 months isnt beans at all.. Austacus: My chairman, I will humbly suggest all May/June and July hopefuls should come together and go straight to the office of the consulate in VI (VAC may not work out) At these stage of Distress and knowingly frustration from London VOs, no security/police will stop May/June and July from seeing any VO in the consulate. Then the VO should explain why London VOs are keeping the applications up till date... Or if they are too busy for Nigerians they should send the applications to Nairobi office or rather collect the application details of people that came for it.
This is my 2kobo suggestion |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by makano: 12:38am On Apr 03, 2019 |
I don't think VAC is the best option tho, theirs is to get visa applications and transport it to the various Visa offices SO i dnt think they have that power.. Going to their office at Anifowose will do it.. Thanks tho for ur suggestion.. ghabrhiel10: This is not fair. I feel your pain badly. Maybe you should try going to the VAC to lay a complain, look for any top person there that might be willing to help, I feel those guys too have little power. This is totally not fair but I pray goodnews comes out from these applications |

Hello This is to my fellow May/June/ July applicants. What can really be done for this people to actually attend to our applications.. When I applied last year July, I was thinking this Canadian student permit was a first come first serve procedure, but its obvious I was totally wrong.. Peeps applying 2 months ago are already getting approvals, while ours is still being ignored.. What can really be done to make changes, cos its really tiring and frustrating for ur application to be 8-10 months without any response form them.. And please no one should get me wrong when i said peeps that apply 2 months ago are getting approvals, am not envious of them(at all, its actually giving me hope of my approval) but if they were in our shoes, they will feel same.. So my fellow comrades what can really be done for us to see changes.. Does any one have direct social contacts of the immigration minister or prime minister for us to vent our complains, or what can really be done... Please lets come up with a suggestion and follow suit.. Cos the truth be told, this wait is getting annoying to be honest.. Peace |

Well said, didnt have anything against you with ma post tho.. Those VOs are just really so annoying to be honest.. It shall end in praise las las.. One love bro. Peace Qudkom: Please read what I typed. I am not asking people not to complain I am referring to the choice of words used. You can let them understand how you feel but how you communicate it matters. Let's take a look at the available statistics of the applications rejected last year or the amount of Nigerians that applied for asylum just last year alone. In the last 5 years we've been tarnishing our images maybe there isn't a direct link to people's application getting delayed but when you look at our they treat some Asian applicants it is obvious about what they think about us. Please take a moment to check the new scheme that was established for asian students to reduce the time spent to get a study permit and all. Why didn't they do that for us? I believe you know the answer to that. It is left for us to repair our reputation and go there and prosper, maybe in the next few years we won't need to be going through this mess like "getting affidavit of return", submitting 10 property document, submitting several SOA etc. when some countries have financial institutions that award student loans etc just to prove you are coming back. I checked a particular university I dont want to mention the name, they had scholarship options for American applicants, canadian applicants and even mexican applicants. They had no scholarship options for African students! . So Imagine storming their office or sending a scattering email, how do you think that will be perceived. By the grace of God people in this situation will be favoured and this temporary frustration you feel will become something you joke about in the future. God bless. My wish is to refresh my time line everyday and see trv's getting approved that's the joy and benefit of thjs wonderful platform. |

Please when did u apply for ur Visa? If your application isnt over 8 months, u dont have any right to say this. I fully support Bracha, Its assif you dont even know how it feels to wait for over 8 months without any communication from those nitwits... If they communicate with us occasionally now, that is different.. They just kept mute for over 8 months without saying a word.. What Bracha wrote is even small, If i have the opportunity of knowing their office, believe you me I will go there and cause a scene, cos what they are doing is blatant rubbish..Application that is suppose to be given a decision within 2 months is taking forever.. God pass them.. Qudkom: How on earth can you ask someone to say that to a visa office. A VISA IS A PRIVILEGE NOT A RIGHT!!!!! I can guarantee you that if you say that they will not only reject the application they will flag the applicants name. I really can't believe you just sai this. And to the concerned party please be patient by the grace of God it will end well. |

Weldone Sis, you doing a great Job.. Please just a little suggestion.. Can you make the list more visible cos the more inputs u make, the more it gets tiny. So please make the required changes... A big welldone. sillysassysally: TRV processing time update 28/03/2019
Hey Nairaland Family,
We now have a sample of 22 hopefuls!
Please I would encourage those that have applied this year to share their timeline (whether you're a new or re-applicant, Application Route, School Resumption Date, Application Date, Biometrics Request Date, Biometrics Done Date, Medical Request, Medicals Done, Medicals Passed, PPR or the Current Status of your application). If you don't have all this information, you can just share the ones that you have and update the rest as you receive it.
This information would help us study or attempt to establish a pattern to how CIC operates. (Please note that the calculated estimates are just averages based on the little sample we have. Your processing time may be faster or slower than the average)
For those that have already submitted their timeline, kindly share if you are a new applicant or a re-applicant. Also, please share when you are expected to resume school. This would help us understand if there is a relationship between processing time and resumption date. (Cc Dedecoder, Godatwork23, Oni2019, Damlovey, Yacha77, docsaj, TheAfrikan, 2roodi, Oluwaseunbd, Bodineros, Klem28, AA07, Trishaben, Omarzx, ify85, Samolala2019, umulobi, Mykaelolalekan, Oyalfares)
Finally, If there is anything you think i should add to the data or calculate from the data or present the data so that it is more understandable, please share with me. |

Congrats Sis/Bro.. I actually love the way you ended ur post. So this is to you newbies that dnt wanna put in work to read up this thread from the first page but want info on a platter of Gold here.. She read all through the thread and now she has her testimony.. I don dey talk this thing tey tey, if you are a newbie go to the first page of this thread and read up to get first hand info about this study permit application and when u dnt see anything that relates to what you want(which I doubt), then u can come up here and ask ur questions so that ur questions can be answered by the gurus. This person actually did the right thing and now he/she has gotten his/her Visa. If I personally see anybody here asking repeated questions that have been answered several times, I will personally come for the person.. Its testimonies of approvals we wanna be seeing here and not simple and repeated questions. Peace trishaben: APPROVAL ALERT!!! God has been faithful to me . Silent reader here, but this thread has really been helpful.

My little piece of advice . Pray , package your application well, do not leave anything out especially if you talked about it in your SOP and please read through the previous threads before asking a question that has already been answered. Or simply google a key word and type Nairaland at the end of it, some threads with same words would pop up . You can also check the first page of each thread, there’s a simpler way to search for things on the thread.Put in some effort and research online about the schools and their programs and admission policies . |

SOP is Statement Of Purpose. Its a document you use to sell ursef to the VOs cos Canadian embassy do not conduct interviews like the USA, SO SOP is a document you address to the VO convincing them that you are a genuine student that is really going to Canada to study. There are some guidelines in writing an SOP which are. 1. Ur background(Family, academic backgroud e.t.c) 2. Why u chose the course u wanna study. 3.Why the school of choice 4. Why Canada 5.Talk extensively on ur financies, how much u have and also ur sponsor. How much ur sponsor is ready to put down for ur study all through ur stay in Canada.. Just make sure you convince them that you have enough to cater for ursef in Canada. 6. How the course you chose will impact ur home country after the end of ur study in Canada. and some other points I cant remember now. But what I have mentioned are the major points u will need to work on to convince the VO. Hope this helps.. Peace Gunit87: Please what's the difference between SOP and Study plan? |
