I wanna believe this biometric validity is for applicants from September upwards. May/June/July Applicants wont get any Biometrics Validity. So no cause for Alarm for May/June/July applicants. Peace

If your application is less than the processing time, do not send any mail, but if not, you are free to send as many as possible.

Yeah very possible. It isnt a good sign when your application is on background check for a very long time. I personally know of 5 people that their application was on background check for months and were finally refused, so its not a good sign at all. Normally ur application should start with a background check and later progress to Eligibility review before a final decision is made. But we cant predict this CIC people tho, all what I said is based on my observation and experience on this thread. So yes, an application can go from background check to refusal, and also frm Eligibilty review to refusal depending on ur application. Peace.

How do I reach CIC London/Nigeria via phone call I’m tired of this unnecessary wait since June. I just don’t even understand it, they are quick to respond to those who fool them and want to run away to Canada but are so slow to those who will definitely return. If not that my husband insists on Toronto because we have a place there, I won’t even bother with this. It’s even worse when some people had waited for so long only to get a refusal letter. They don’t even reply to messages.
I will call them to blast them because I’m tired so someone please give me their number.

Hello everyone..Pls pardon my long post. Finally my visa came out today after I submitted my passport on 18th September. I want to give the glory to God and thank everyone here especially those make very insightful contribution, the type that gingerred me to take some steps.

Mine is a strange one. Applied on 11th May. Biometrics on 23rd May. Medicals on 23rd August. Passport request on 18th September. And then everything came to a stand still for over 2 months. Within this period I submitted over 7 CSE webforms and wrote over 10 emails to Lagos VO but got maybe 2 responses. Meanwhile my online status remained at a confusing situation: eligibility review ongoing, meds passed, background check ongoing but application approved and passport requested. By October 18th I received a mail asking me to send in updated bank statement in a new format: bank statement request ticket plus password. My bank had not implemented this new format and so gabe me a cover letter to add to the normal statement. And then nothing again.

My last webform was responded to with the story that my application was in London. I wrote London last week and complained about the restriction of my movement for other personal and business travels outside of Canada with the continued with holding of my passport. London responded that my application has been approved since September and that they are aware my passport was dropped at VFS, can I go to VFS for "printing of your visa". So confusing! VFS does not print visas. Even then my many visits there revealed thar my passport was at the embassy.

Finally yesterday morning as I was driving to Anifowose instead of VFS as directed I got a call to attend an interview this morning. I was there by 6 am and by 8.30 I sat in front of an officer who told me my bank statements were not clear or legible. This is bery untrue as I scanned them myself. After barely looking through the updated statements I brought he asked me to wait for 10 minutes and in exactly 10 minutes my passport came out with my visa!

I applied to study MA Communication in UOttawa. My first degree ia in Pol Science, over 27 years ago. I had an MBA since 2001 and am a very mature appliacant. My SOI stated that after working in communication for over 2 decades I needed to retire to academics by studying in Canada and merging my long practical experience with serious academic scholarship for the benefit of my future students.

Document attached:
1. Acceptance letter and Statement of Intent
2. Dom account statement with over 100kUSD
3. TD acount statement with 40kCAD
4. Letter of employment, payslips
5. Travel history to Canada, US, UK, SA, etc
6. Scanned passport data page ( passport valid till 1st June 2019. So while waiting I applied for renewal and added the new passport via webform and email).

I did not add any property or evidence of family ties beyond what I filled in the family information form. Just the above.

Bottom line while waiting, I prayed and fasted like never before especially after I was told my application was in London.

My admission was deferred to Winter with the kind understanding of my faculty and I will be travelling by God's grace before new year. My testimony I did not lose faith in the power of God despite the odds against me as shown in many of the tesimonies and feedback in this forum especially about long gap from last degree

I pray everyone here will have a good story to tell and bery very soon in Jesus name. Amen.

They are 2 different hospitals with their different charges. Most people go to Qlife cos its cheap, thats why they are already booked till early next year.

For sure it is possible. Depends on a number of factors such as your age, IELTS result, family in Canada etc. Just read up from Page 1 and get all the answers you need. Good luck!

Its not compulsory at all for Study permit but very compulsory for Express Entry.

I applied July, and I think i paid over 65k converted to naira . Biometrics fee was included tho.

You will pay another application fee but you wont pay for biometrics again..

Refusal after Medical passed. I am thinking its upfront medicals tho, cos I cant imagine them requesting for Medicals and later refusing the application. So it should be upfront medicals.

Judicial review may not help here; 2applications under my counsel were refused by london office on the 16th of November...singular reason was purpose of visit

Both applicants are matured students pursuing MBA and PGD;infact the PGD applicant was called for medicals on the 5th of November and medical was updated as passed....only to get the shocker refusal.

Both applicants are single, aged 33 and 34yrs gainfully employed with an average of 6years work experience and personal finances in excess of 10million.


They are both planning to reapply with well strutured SOP'S to explain even the most irrelevant detail........the demand for Canada visa is high these days and the VO's aint smiling

My own has started since August 28th, up till now no show.. But it doesn't really matter tho, this people are not predictable. When did u apply?

Ok. You just have one reason which is purpose of visit, although you can easily tackle this without ordering for ur GCMS note, but I will advise you order for it. In ur next application make sure you do everything possible to convince the VO that u are a genuine student that will come back to ur country after ur study in Canada. You failed to convince them that u are a genuine student, thats the reason for ur refusal. So order for ur GCMS note, know the actual reason for the refusal and re-fire, you will surely get ur Visa. It seems they have started working on June/July applications cos with the final decisions we have seen here, all are June/ July applicants. More decisions should drop before the end of the month. It shall end in praise.

Did ur Eligibility review start before ur refusal, or it was on Background check all through?

My lil brother who is 16yrs and has admission for undergraduate at UPEI has applied for study permit with my mum who is accompanying him purposely to see that he's well settled. This morning we got a message from CIC and we login only to discovered that his application has been updated and his medical review states 'we are reviewing your medical results' whereas he hasn't done any medical test before. Could this be a mistake? Both his and mum's applications eligibility review has commenced.

E tire me oo. The person was lucky I was in a cool mood when I replied, if not, I would have talked sense to his head as usual. This newbies are just too lazy to read up informations that will benefit them. Just come here and ask silly questions that have been answered several times on this thread.

But to tell u the truth many peeps here are not in the state of mind to educate you from start to finish so I will advise you read up from Part 12 to this present page coupled with ur research on Google. I do not think its cos they are efficient and faster, its not 22 weeks this year cos many people are applying to other countries that do not have wahala like Canada. Cos i cant imagine an efficient and Faster system holding up to an application for over 4 months, is that one efficient? If you go through other countries thread, u will see that 80% of peeps getting Visas there are the ones that were refused by Canada. So Canadians are not efficient one bit, there is lesser processing time than last year beacause peeps are frustrated by their delays and refusals, making them port to other efficient and Visa friendly Countries. Let's be thankful to God because by this time last year 2017 it was 22 weeks. This shows that the Canadian embassy are becoming efficient and faster in handling applications.

Ok. You will need to wait for the processing time for Nigeria which is 15 weeks, if you dont get any response 15 weeks from the time you applied, then you can send them a message through the Webform or through mails. So as a matter of fact, its not safe disturbing them now, cos if you do they will see u as a desperado which can actually facilitate ur refusal. So take a chill pee and Wait for the next 15 weeks(Processing Time) and if u dont get any response, then do what I have mentioned earlier. Peace

You are very fuuny oo. U just applied this month and u want to facilitate ur application. Oya facilitate it na, and when the VO sees how desperate you are, then a refusal will be given to you. Peeps that have applied since May havnt gotten any response, you just applied some days back and u wanna facilitate response. Very funny. Good luck to ur facilitation.

Am suspecting this too, its obvious their database for June- August applications have crashed ,mayb that was their reason for the frequent maintenance around that period. cos its not sensible holding up to applicants of June - August and replying to those that applied September and October. There is something fishy they are not disclosing... If their database have crahsed, they should just give everybody that applied from May -Ausgut approval since the fault is from them.. Am seriously suspecting those people..

Sometimes I am inclined to believe there is something fundamentally wrong with CIC's database for June through to August applicants.....it's so weird to hold applications this long........probably, the database crashed and they are still trying to recover the data. Even CIC customer service support in charge of responding to webpage and emails are already frustrated and are in recent times, venting their frustrations on helpless applicants.
