What a ridiculous idea
He's a very silly man.

SMH.

This is what peace gets you.

Crisis up north has caused the great ABU to fall down the pecking order.

Who would have thought.

Whoever the sponsors of those crisis are should know that they come at a price.

Something needs to be done to salvage the situation.

Take a closer look into Messi'
finals both for club and country in comparison with Ronaldo's & see the huge role luck had to play notwithstanding several other factors.
You have a point there, though.

I surrender.

For Ronaldo it's destiny, same goes for Buffon & Messi. Luck is a very big part of every one's life
Lailai, I don't agree to this.

Messi's is sheer talent. Except if you meant he was lucky to have been found. Cos lots of people die without discovering their talents.

AC Milan's mentality in finals is far stronger than Juventus's. However, I think Juve would have knocked out Madrid over a two-legged tie

The difference between Barca & Real is the quality of squad depth.
True talk.

You're right there too. Juventus have lost about 5 finals on the trot. That's some bad record.

I guess Barca met Juve at the wrong moment.

This final leaves a bad taste.

Ronaldo has to be the luckiest player in the history of the game; he's not as good as the number of balons d'or suggest.

The lack of dept came at a price, I bet.

Even worse is the brainlessness of IPob retards trying to wedge the relationship between the North and the SW but their folly would send them to shallow graves.

People keep saying Madrid will lose when all I see is a super motivated team. I believe we owe it to the world to explain how we make goal scoring feats easy. cheesy
Don't worry, that motivation will meet a brick wall tonight.

I tried taking a nap this afternoon and I just couldn't do so as all my thoughts had been filled with events around 7:45pm.

For the Barce fans screaming Juventus, you guys have got to take the backseat, we are talking about people deserving of football tonight and not those who dive like Michael Phelps.

And for Juventus posting a picture with the Pope, may I submit that the Pope would not count one bit tonight, neither will his opinion mean a thing. Madrid have never lifted the trophy visiting Popes and religious leaders. It all rests on quality in the very end.

I feel for Gianluigi Buffon though, I really like him but it stops there. My club before any other thing.
Be feeling for Buffon.

Madrid will lose this one.

I think you are naive.
The guy has been fortunate enough to have a sick president incapacitated which gave him an unusual amount of time as acting president.
And he has done a lot of movement, but nothing truely revolutionary or anything that stands out. Even as VP, he has had tremendous power. And as usual, most of the movement he did were for his people. And the only people that would disagree with my assessment are his people from the SW.
Given the way the guy campaigned himself hoarse during the elections with a lot of high sounding theories, i would expect more direct national changes.
I also find it funny that you claim to hate buhari and yet endorse osibanjo when he has not done anything special from what his oga has done.
Yes, he is more demurred, but that is looking to be a big deal because buhari is too brash and arrogant. Even jonathan was humble, but i don't rate my presidents on humility.
I can't honestly believe a Peter obi or an Utomi would not do much better even as Vice -president let alone acting president for such scale of time.
My dislike for Buhari long precede his second coming as president. It's nothing about the current state of the nation, even though I have been left disappointed with his performances so far. I don't see why I should rope the VP in all of that.

I don't rate performances on character too, but his is a pointer.

With all the talk about there being a cabal and the many incompetent people Buhari appointed into government, it will be hard for the VP to make any meaningful impact.

He'll need to sanitize the system and have people who share his ideas alongside to achieve like he wants. No matter how skilled a driver and much in a hurry you are, you can't get very far in a beetle.

I don't have a problem with the names you have mentioned. But only if they were Buhari's VP can we tell for sure.

Notwithstanding, they are brilliant people, I agree.

I'm with okuigbe on this. It was the same fatal mistake Jonathan made. If baba is unable to continue, please our dearest VeePee, kindly organise a free and fair election, walk away from all the allure of the office and then throw your hat in the ring in 2023.

I have no doubt if you do this, you'd be totally unstoppable! Of possible, we'd have the North sign a pact thieves is contesting is gonna serve a single term and give room for the south to have their own eight years. And who better in the South to be there right now than Osinbajo?

My opinion.
In the end, will that Northern candidate agree to serve a single term only?

I mean, the person, whoever they turn out to be, will agree to a single tenure at first. But you know how the lure of power causes people to lose control of their faculties. He'll still go for more, and then we are stuck right here.

I'm of the opinion that they should jettison the arrangement altogether.
PoliticsRe: Osinbajo Must Never Contest In 2019 If Buhari Dies – Doyin Okupe by malton: 2:13pm On Jun 03, 2017
I don't get all the talk about Osinbajo contesting in 2019.

I mean, the man never spoke about nursing such ambitions.

Make chicken climb tree before you accuse am of plucking mango na, abi?

If he decides to contest, Lord knows he has my vote and those of my family members.

I don't give rat's ass what the north thinks or wants.

Rotational presidency my foot!

When then shall we make room for competence?

May the best man win, shikenan.

Yeah right. Just like omenka is from the middle-belt
Let me even take you on your own merit- What is osibanjo's achievement in power?
From your own assessement, is he the best the system can throw up?
I don't rate him at all. I am looking for someone to prove me wrong.
And that is besides the fact that as a yoruba, (for the sake of national stability which a lot of people seem to pray for), he has no business in power for the foreseeable future.
OK.

I edited my post to include this btw;

I don't let emotions becloud my sense of judgement.

Case in point: Personally, I have never liked Buhari. Not then, not now, not ever. But I set all of that aside to campaign for him..

For me, one of such is his ability to calm fraying nerves.

His choice of words and the way he expresses himself shows that he is cerebral enough to understand the country's many issues and seek ways to correct them.

He's been interactive too. That's how you get into the people's head, understand their world and work on improving it.

For me, a man who is smart enough to understand that we are a people from different backgrounds but with so little that sets us apart, and so deserve to be treated as equals is enough.

That's because he's not had enough time to make his own impact.

Their overbearing attitude and supremacist worldview is why we are here. It's hard to make make meaningful progress with all the problems that they cause.

Which part of Nigeria are you from? If you are yoruba, then sorry, your respect is as usual founded on watery bigotism. Most of you guys are the same people that claim that they would only vote for buhari if he chose a yoruba as his running mate now hiding under a charade of progressiveness.
What is osibanjo's achievement as Vice president and even the little time he was acting president?
The little time he has spent in charge, he has packed the whole terrain with his people. How he hope to sustain it is what i don't know.
I'm from the middle belt, Plateau State, to be exact.

How do you come to conclude that I "never" liked PYO? Because I don't patronise him like his paid media apologists would want?

Should I support his ethnic supremacist deeds to show my admiration for him? Should I cease from speaking about the pretentious fraud parading as pastor simply because it will make some people happy? Haba!!!
I haven't seen any opinion of yours about the man bar the article currently on fp.

You didn't have to patronise or agree with him to like the man. I'm not that narrow minded. But that article signals that you have negative estimations of him, tbh.

I condemned Buhari for Nepotistic appointment, not because we I hate the north but because I am an advocate of justice!!!

Why should PYO appoint 9 yorubas as Personal staffs out of 10? This is the first time a VP will do that since 1999.

He is a bigot, he will NEVER win 2019.
I admire your sense of patriotism.

But, you never liked Osinbajo. So your judgement is understandable from your own POV.

For me, however, we haven't seen enough of him to conclude that he's a bigot with pretensions to power.

The man may not even be interested to begin with.

Again, I respect him deep beyond politics.
