Pricing is usually the main factor, most buyers put into consideration.
If network providers gave out handsets on fixed time contracts in Nigeria, we possibly would all own Samsung S8+ & Iphone 7 +.
So cost for me forms the main factor. Why buy a Samsung S8+ for $900, when my Umidigi C Note only cost me $130?
I do not require all the extra functionality they claim the more expensive devices offers. My phone to me serves a basic function........
You are right. That was the point I tried to communicate. Your points are succinctly put too. When I got my Xiaomi, I was almost moved to tears because I felt Samsung had been cheating me the whole time.

As things stand, I'd get an Huawei, Xiaomi or Oneplus at the expense of a Sammy device even if they sold at the same price as a flagship. Somehow, I've gotten so used to Samsung devices that I now find them boring.

The Xiaomi I'm currently using represents my first departure from the Samsung lineup since the S2 (used till the s6 edge). So I kind of find it refreshing for a change.

The build and quality is more or less the same. I'm an Android enthusiast, so the iPhone is a no-no.

Many peoole feel they would not sell the crystal plus. Crystal Pro starts selling next month, but the ultimate seller (if they do), would be the crystal plus.
If they do not, then I think it's them being cautious.

Maybe the cost of experimenting with such ideas will keep the from producing it, as giving their reputation, a lot of people may not be willing to part with so much money for a device that may not be durable.

But it'd be fun to try.

Talking it up that notch, might also involve them testing the financial prowess of their loyal fan base. $499 would be the best selling point, or else we know they are getting greedy.............
That would be suicidal, IMHO. There are prices beyond which a "loyal" customer stops being faithful.

The force which established the relationship will always be the binding force. Moving their prices close to those of top brands will see a lot of people jump ship.

For instance, for all their tried and true love for the brand, Xiaomi users don't really buy high end devices like the mi mix. The prices always prove prohibitive.

I like brands like the OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Vivo, not just because they offer phones at low, competitive prices, but because their devices are top notch and would rival those of any top brand in the market today. That way, I can pay above $600 for their products. I would pay that amount to avoid Samsung and their many bloatware. For most people, however, the prices are always a factor.

I know that.

I used the north to drive home the point.

answer him nah what of pastor sulaiman??
Christians, especially those of Northern extraction bearing Arabic names is nothing new.

Lots of Arabic words have been adopted into the Hausa Language.

So it's commonplace seeing Hausa Christians answer names like Suleiman, which corresponds to Solomon. Some Southern Muslims who were born in the north are also given such names. Christians bear names such as Iliya, Auwal, Mustapha, Aliyu, Garba, and the likes.

However, a Muslim bearing Paul is unusual. Because Muslims hate anything Christian. In Northern Nigeria, he would be forced to adopt an Arabic name.

My bro. If you have answer to my question please give me the answer...i thought we have christian and Muslim names or are the Muslims now believing the bible huh

Paul is a pure Biblical name and surely Christians bear that name...

Please clarify, am confused and you are bringing another confusion to me...which one is pastor Suleiman again huh
Paul is a biblical name.

He was born Christian but got introduced to the Muslim faith by his mother, a devout Muslim.

His other brother's name is Mathias.

There are only two functional network providers in Nigeria - MTN and Airtel.

The rest are trash!

Oneplus has teased us enough. It's about time they started selling this OP5.......
$500 is fair cop. But I feel oneplus might just get greedy.
True talk.

I feel they've come of age, and may want to take it up a notch. But with low prices being their major selling point, I do not think they will stray too far away from that principle.

We are waiting to see if they eventually fulfill this promise...........
Looks a nice design. Very catchy.

I think it sporting a snapdragon processor will be a plus too; as some of the issues users have been complaining about, like crashes and stuff, were caused by the mediatek processors the devices feature.

Since switching from Umi to Umidigi, it seems they are trying to make a statement of intent.
OP5 if price is $500. Or await the Umidigi crystal Plus (it promises a snapdragon 835). We wait and see if they are simply yanking our chains.......
I feel the OP5 will be in the sub-$500 region.

Crystal Plus, I'll have to Google that. The company seems promising, I must admit.

LOL

I would rate it honestly, 89%. Docking 11% due to minor optimization issues........

NB: In love with my Umidigi C Note is a bit extreme. But it is serving me well.............
Okay. That's good to know.

For all the negative things I've heard about umi products, they must be pulling out fine then.

You have no need for the OP5 just yet then. Hehe.

I dream of a Nigeria where the use of words like Afonja, Igbos, will be a thing of the past.
Where Chukwuemeka will heartily call Adamu his beloved brother, where Olabisi will honestly call Ifeoma her true friend and sister.
Where we have a president called Adekunle Ifeanyi Ciroma.
Where we only see Nigerians and not a hausa or yoruba or an igbo man.

God bless Nigeria
God bless us all
For me, we were almost there until the Internet and Buhari happened.

Hmmm.

Houses like Davido's make one realise how much money our politicians steal from national coffers.

In spite of his financial might, I've seen better houses owned by state politicians. Not to mention those playing at the national level.

Then there are Custom Officers.

Please Save me on this your hypocrisy. Who disrupt the Nigerian Economy. It is Osinbanjo heading the economic team and proceed to devalue the Naira when He become the acting President.

If Buhari is half as Osinbanjo, the dollar will be 1000 per Naira by now.

If Buhari have given PYO to head the security, Boko Haram will have reach the south by now.

Not a single thing that has progressed under Osinbanjo. But all is Buhari fault for giving a clueless Lawyer to head the economy of the nation in to recession.

That's y I say and I will still repeat it you people are hypocrite.
Goodbye.

PoliticsRe: APC Plots To Unseat Ekweremadu In 2019 by malton: 10:35am On May 27, 2017
The popularity of the APC in 2019 will depend on who the presidential flag-bearer is.

Featuring Buhari will see them perform woefully in the Middle Belt, SE, and SS.

In the Southwest however, I do not see the need for a change at the regional level, as most of their representatives have performed credibly well. But the national level will be a different kettle of fish.

Buhari was a necessary evil needed to dislodge Jonathan in 2015. But his journey ends there.

Nigeria has too many sound minds to have him as president for the second time running. Not that his bigotry and insensitivity has helped his cause.

Trash. I know who you're. A Christian northerner from north central (if not mistaken particularly Jos) who is sympathetic to the Christian course alone.
Then why refer to me as a Yoruba?

Or have you suffered a concussion?

I'm not sympathetic to any Christian cause.

I'm a Christian, as is Osibanjo. But religious similarities isn't why I like the man.

Unlike you guys, we do not offer one-way sympathy. We see religion as a belief system, not some cult.

After all, the only person I ever favored Buhari against is a Christian. If Buhari were half the man Osibanjo is, Nigeria would have been a much better place to live in. But then, I always knew his presidency would be an autopilot mode for us all. So, no surprises there.

Purge your mind of religious bigotry. It's the only way you'll see clearly.

Shatap mumu. You're one of those who wish him death deep inside your heart while claiming to pray for him for screen display. (These are the so called sensible Yoruba). The hypocrites like u.
You see, I have one problem with you. You have difficulty expressing your emotions and thoughts.

Your lack of fluency makes it hard for me to know exactly what you mean. Because it causes you to hold on too tight to the few words you already know, spewing them at every chance as if they are the only words ever invented.

But if somehow, Lady Luck shined on you and those were truly an articulation of your thoughts, then I must say that I'm impressed.

However, I do not respond to shallow remarks for too long, especially ones from vacuous individuals.

And for the record, I'm not Yoruba. But I guess you're too unintelligent to know that not everyone is.

Forgetting Osinbanjo devalue the Naira as acting President when Pmb was away. Hypocrites.
And what exactly is your problem?

Where did you see/hear any sensible Yoruba person wish death upon PMB?

I used to think you're just some intolerant religious bigot, now I know for sure that you are dumb, just like your Buhari.

Get out of here with that myopic reasoning!
