NorthernParrot:I came to read and pass, but your mentality made me have a change of heart. this is really commendable! |

His journey has just begun. I can bet you that he's already shaking. Every meal he's had beginning yesterday when he received the invite must have tasted bitter regardless whether they had sugar, sugarcane and honey all added! |

Look who's talking! Those who have failed Nigeria more than any government can come close. The only thing ASUU know how to is demanding salaries increment. Every other attache is a tool meant to deceive. The government knows this...only meet their salaries demands and watch them run to classes like nothing happened. |

modath:I believe nothing did. Only that which was installed can be broken. She seemingly hadn't any! Hate begets hate. She's propagating the only thing she knows how to best. |
How some people muster the courage to say, straightfaced, that Nigeria's problem isn't corruption is dumbfounding! You don't even know these looters personally, one kobo hasn't changed hands between you and them before--even if it did, it could be proceeds from the road contracts he failed to execute--yet, it might have been budgeted for rehabilitating that road on which some relation of yours died in a ghastly accident owing to it's bad state. But, as though implying that that's not bad enough just yet, you stake your reputation on the line defending the indefensible. You know the only thing worse than you? Nothing! No sane mind who has a soul in them will stand for such nefarious activities, not even the devil! |

You've spoken like a true son of the soil and a concerned citizen. May God replenish your wisdom! Some children of hate will soon come in to lambast you. be ready for the deluge of insults that will follow! Watch carefully how they'll label you a Northerner. |
iflywithbuhari: ![]() Laugh wan kill me! Abeg, swerve!!! You couldn't even cling on to power while you had all the aces and went out all guns blazing... A cold and bland party unseating a hot and grand incumbent isn't happening in this information age. We know better now. We've seen the light, there's no way we're crawling back into darkness with our eyes wide opened! |
There is fire on the mountain... This EFCC bite pass Suarez. No wonder FFK don dey court sympathy in advance. ![]() Serves them right! That's how a bank manager has turned adviser on ways of siphoning public funds to a serving governor. |

modath: ![]() I fit swear say na one of our nairaland hateful blodas dey behind that handle. The very same choice of words a la severusnape, whatever his name is, would have made. At this rate, you sure say the back pain wey go result from lifting all that heavy load of hate no go keep them for 2017 by the time others dey 2019? |
I agree with that. Buhari's competence in areas where Jonathan was most incompetent proved him a compelling choice. It's rather shallow of some people to think it as a gang up between the North and West. A lot wasn't going for the country at the time. It's only natural that discerning minds demand a change of course. It's normal that beneficiaries of the abyss be conservative. I'm only surprised that they've taken to horrendous acts to spite the people and government of the day after losing in a contested election. Jonathan himself foresaw his impending loss and did everything in his power to bring it to a halt. Obviously, he was oblivious of the fact that the course of destiny can never be altered. Like I said on another thread, Nigerians should rather be thankful for the change, were it not so, things could have been worse by now. Imagine experiencing such economic downturn coupled with pilfering, cronyism and rarefaction... that's some hell! |

The back and forth is becoming boring. It should only make the news when it has been passed and become operational! |

![]() obailala:My thoughts exactly. Some people will go to any extent to distort facts, just so long as it results in a blame game. Wonder the kind of hatred that drives them. God help some people, they really need helping! God help Nigeria even more, some people just wanna see her dead, even if that means them slitting their own throats! |

![]() PDP is back again to offer succour to the "oppressed" children of hate. Problem is, the best they could afford is a comic relief! On a side, some people will vote for PDP even if they fielded the devil himself. To them, nothing could be worse than a supposed "Muslim party"! Funny how these same people complain so much about racists. |

ShowYourCertificate:Hehehe. This isn't something peculiar to Nigeria alone. Even the almighty US raised concerns sometime in September, last year about government employees outnumbering manufacturing employees by almost 1.8 to 1. Ideally, the government exists to create an enabling environment for businesses. The manufacturing industry accounts for a larger chunk of employment generation, while the middle class should be there to spur growth by means of their expenditures. Government usually employs so much in order to keep pace with population growth, as manufacturing is incapable of absorbing the number all on it's own. So, having such overblown recurrent expenditure is an aberration, not the rule. I don't see how what she says implies an impending collapse like you are inferring. Pidggin:And you should be thankful for the change, were it not so, things could have been worse by now. Imagine experiencing such economic downturn coupled with pilfering, cronyism and rarefaction... that's way more scary! Besides, NOI was already trumpetin "no money", "prepare for hard times ahead!".... blablabla. Do those sound like melodies to you? Had they made it back, you would have experienced a change that wasn't even talked about, a quite nasty one at that. E for be double wahala for dead body! |
God rest the departed! On a side, that top view from the first pic looks serene. |
modath:Somehow, I believe Winston Churchill was in part referring to this NASSS when he launched a scathing attack on Indian politicians of his time labelling them as "charlatans, rascals, ruffians and scalawags of every stripe you can think of”... They are way too distant from the lives and concerns of ordinary people! I only feel pity for those who are hell bent on following lost souls along to hell, all borne out of hatred for a man who won fair and square! |
