Just like the inscription reads, kill corruption, not Nigerians.
This government is killing corruption. Plus, the subsidy removal was necessitated by forex scarcity. So it isn't exactly like the previous one.
Besides, to what purpose did the last administration put the monies saved from the partial removal?

As an Ijaw man I take exception to your comment.
How many Ijaw people do you know personally?
If we were so aggressive how come for decades oil companies sited their investments on our land with little or no resistance?
In recent years one might agree that quite a number of us have become misinformed or misled but that's quite a minority.
Our kinsman lost an election yet we did not follow it up with violence or anarchy.
The Ijaw people and indeed people of the Niger Delta are quite accommodating hosts, undeniably supportive guests and very much the quintessential brother's keeper.
As regards the Fulani, we in Nigeria have lived years and many more years together as neighbours without any considerable conflict.
Doesn't it ever occur to you that something has been invoked somewhere?
Nigerians should learn to appreciate each other.
Epithets and brickbats often used to deride each other can only breed more violence and regret.
The political class has successfully divided us since the last elections and many refuse to see that the losers are the common people.
Wise up.[/b] |

1. Who and what are the NDA made of ?
2. How would you define ownership of oil blocks and production?
3. How is the blowing up of oil installations, and killing of security operatives plus indirectly exposing the oil communities to enviromental hazards, economical and security hazards the most sensible way of achieving their goal (basically the same thing BH did)?

YorubaHighness: The article must be written by a Yoruba person.
Yorubas always tries to see events with a diplomatic perspective, always trying to separate the corn (event) from the cob (tribe/ethnicity).
In a country where multiple group tries to monopolize violence (Fulani herdsmen and boko haram, ND Avengers) and some deals with victim complex (Ipobs/Ibos), diplomacy won't work.
Yorubas need to stop being the only diplomatic group in Nigeria. Diplomacy doesn't work for Nigeria. Aggression does. I believe that you're using facts to reach the precisely wrong conclusion. The Yorubas are highly educated people, well travelled and experienced as well. In my experience, people who possess such qualities view life from a different perspective from the rest. There is evil in the world, and it usually persists until a greater force overwhelms it. A detribalised, sophisticated Yoruba race should be a rallying force for well meaning Nigerians in the face of all the myopia ravaging our lands. If i could, I'll donate every kobo I can to such fantastic movement. So, the diplomatic roles played by the Yoruba and Nigerians of other tribes will spur us to even greater heights. As it's often said, persistence wears out resistance, eventually! In an all-follower land, someone has got to be the leader! Think of them as caregivers to those who have lost their way. Igbiboi: Nonsense article. Do yourself a favor--always steer clear of threads beyond your comprehension! |

What manner of people do we have in this country?
What good is devaluation to the ordinary Nigerian on the street?
Someone did his best, held on for so long and threw everything at it to give the little change in your pockets some value, yet you turn around and mock him for trying so hard to defend you. It's the kind of thing that makes you think that some people deserve everything coming their way!
See them rejoicing and casting aspersions as though to imply that this butters their bread in some way. Go with it, just don't come back here later to complain about just how hard life has been for you and your folks owing to this!
As for me, I hand him a trophy for trying! |
