Amazing, Obama won the last 10 states overwhelmingly with the least close margin of 18% in Winsconsin and some people are still here saying the guy is inexperience.

Young people and even White conservatives are joining the paddy waggon.  Obama is for real.  He is for change and that is what people want.

At his rally last night in Houston, over 18,000 came to hear him speak.  The movement for change is real.

The unstoppable Obama does it again. He won 9 states consecutively. Now he is on track to banish clinton for ever.

I am proud and glad to be able to witness the slogan of change.

Now does McCain has what it takes to stop Obama?

According to the nurse attending, the patient's girlfriend found the ring in his pants pocket and she got so mad at him, she used petroleum jelly to slip the ring on his hoohoo while he was asleep.

1) Having your girl friend find out you're married.

Spraying of naira should be the last issue on the government plate.  I think we have other issues that superseed this non- existence issue.  lets focus on building better roads, better housing, and stable economy.  This is nothing but a diversion in my opinion from the real issues confronting innocent Nigerians.

Rumor mongers, I don't think our media in Nigeria is credible enough for us to draw conclusion that Duke is guilty of corruption. He has the fundamental right to defend all this allegation.

@iykrion to answer your question, Ehindero was a DIG before OBJ, in charge of administration. He was by pass by OBJ who picked Tafa whom Ehindero was a superior to in the Nigerian police force. Ehindero wrote many books for the Nigerian police force and profited tremendously from his hard work.

The Nigerian society is corrupt and some of the issues confronting the Nigerian police superseed the force. We can not expect the policeman to perform their official duties, when Military boys who broke the law by driving on the wrong side of the road can not be rectify. Nigerian culture need to be re-examine.

The issue with Nigerian police is not leadership. I’ve been saying this over and over again., Not until they are well equipped, trained and provided with better housing, we will continue to have this senseless robbery killing and lawlessness in Nigeria.

How do you expect a man to feed his family of 4 with less than #10,000 naira a month?

At least 11 persons were killed yesterday when a 10-man robbery gang stormed a new generation bank in Afikpo, Ebonyi state, carting away more than N15 million.

An eye witness said that the robbers arrived the bank about 10.30 am in two V-C land cruiser jeeps, and shot indiscriminately, apparently to scare people away.

About 20 persons were wounded in the operation that lasted till noon.

Among those wounded are students and teachers who were inside the bank, when the armed robbers came, while most of the staff escaped.

The robbery gang included, two ladies, with one of them manning the steering

What Nigerians have to say.

The Nigeria Police Force from inception has never been a bed of roses (‘Sick! Why The Nigeria Police Is Not Effective,’ TheNEWS, 4 February 2008 edition). They have never been favoured in terms of welfare by successive governments since the colonial times. It has been a story of gradual but steady slide into the present degradation.
Until they are accorded the decent treatment worthy of custodians of the law, expecting anything decent from them would be mere wishful thinking.

A visit to any of the police barracks in Nigeria is sure to evoke pity from the visitor. Even some of the worst slums in the country are far more habitable that the eyesore regarded as homes for the junior police officers.
How can we expect optimum performance from people who are treated practically as second class citizens by successive uncaring governments?

The recent jacking up of the salaries of police personnel announced by the federal government appears to be a good development. One only hopes it would be implemented as promised.
This development should check the greed of officers, and restrain them from highway extortion and other vices for which they are currently notorious. They will also be empowered to take adequate care of their welfare as well as that of their family.

Umaru Dikko laments domination of national politics by ex-military officers

Second Republic minister and frontline politician, Alhaji Umaru Dikko, on Monday lamented the domination of national politics by retired military officers.

Dikko noted with regrets that true civilians were being marginalised in political appointments in the country.

He spoke after a closed-door meeting with President Umaru Yar’Adua in the State House, Abuja.

Going down memory lane to make comparisons between his days in active politics and the current dispensation, Dikko admitted that there have been several changes.

But he remarked that the most significant change was the large presence and influence of ex-combatants who dropped their uniforms for flowing agbada apparels, to hold political positions.

Dikko said, “Of course, there must be differences, the thinking is also slightly different. Times were different; the requirements of the people were also different. Now there are more military in politics than there were at that time. There are many, many people with military background actively engaged in politics.”

There is a saying in the state "you can never beat the radio".  Nigerian police force has two helicopters in a country of over 150 Million and yet we expect magic.
