This is fascinating how Nigerians are twisting words around to accommodate their hidden agenda. Even Ray Charles a blind man knows that Ribadu was demoted. The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mike Okiro, and the Police Service Commission (PSC) yesterday said that the former Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, was not demoted as being reported but his rank was reverted. The former EFCC boss had sued the Inspector General of Police, Police Service Commission and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Chief Mike Aondoakaa (SAN), before the Abuja Federal High Court challenging his demotion http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=143168 |
In all fairness Okiro is not to be blame with this masquerade parade. The ATF Aondoakaa should be held accountable and not deem to hold that highest post of law. IF we can not have transparency with this expose and prosecution of culprits, how can we trust him to be trust worthy in prosecuting criminals? |
Amazing the chief law enforcement officer of Nigeria can give this pessimistic explanation, I wonder why he has not been forced to resign. Where is the separation of government entities? Why must the president tell him who to prosecute? Where is the checks and balance? This country is doomed with this charade of characters we call government officials. |
1st let me say may their soul rest in peace. Some Nigerians continue to amuse me with their ridiculous excuses of poverty. Let’s ask the question. Was a crime committed? Yes Pipe vandalism is a felony crime in Nigeria and these lunatics as I see them have no regards for their lives or the law and they paid the ultimate price. If you can justify the kind of actions then we might as well legalize arm rubbery in Nigeria. The government is to blame for this on timely death. If the government can not enforced the law and prosecute violators. Then this attitude that poverty encourages people to steal or vandalize will continue. How many of these people will walk into a lions den to get a basket full of money? |
@presido1 How can you arrest someone when you cant even spell their name correct? IBB's first cousin was arrested this morning. that alone is a good news and new development in Nigerian. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2009/apr/01/national-01-04-2009-16.htm |
BIG APRIL FOOL ALL NIGERIANS WISH THIS MAN WILL BE ARRESTED and prosecuted one day for his crimes against humanity |
This is getting juicy. Police, Monday evening, arrested and arraigned Alhaji Dattijo Aliyu, first cousin to former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, and Commissioner for Health in Niger State under the immediate past administration of Engineer Abdukhadir Abdullahi Kure, over allegations of conspiracy, incitement and circulation of fake documents http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2009/apr/01/national-01-04-2009-16.htm |
The financial and crime commission arrested former dictator of Nigeria. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida AKA IBB http://www.efccnigeria.org/ |
Jos — The Commission of Inquiry on the Jos riots, headed by Bola Ajibola, has summoned former military President, Ibrahim Babangida, to explain why two councils were created out of old Jos during his junta. Now let the power play begins for all those who wants RIBADU to be roasted for not honouring a panel. Lets see if IBB the maradona of eluding prosecution shows up this time. http://allafrica.com/stories/200903180433.html |
Lets be clear, it's the code of conduct tribunal that is asking Ribadu to show up and not a court of law, @ BIGB1 How quick and soon do you forget that your father the toothless general never honoured any of the invitation of the OPUTA panel or OKIGBO panel so why should Ribadu honor this invitation? what a nation of idiots. I am convinced that BIGB1 is married to cre8tivity When IBB and his sons can honor an indictment, then talk to us about Ribadu. |
@Big B1 stop jumping to conclusion before you know the facts. Agagu has been the governor of Ondo state for over 5 years. So he has ample time to embezzle if he wanted. Even though he was arrested, I think it goes against the slogan of this administration of RULE of LAW. How can you arrest someone without indictment? where was EFCC while he was a governor? |
Obarimomoya’s parents came to Kansas City from Nigeria about nine years ago as refugees, said Martin Okpareke of Jewish Vocational Services. The family dealt with shock and burial arrangements Tuesday for a boy whose name translates into English as Only God Knows, he said. “In any culture, it’s not appropriate for parents to bury their child,” Okpareke said. “But when the parents — especially for someone who fled an oppressive, repressive government — have to bury their child, it’s even more painful.” Tuesday was a difficult one at school, too. SO sad |
Nope he is a three times looser and we need new mind and fresh ideas. people like Buhari and IBB should stay at home in shame and let the new generation govern and liberate Nigeria |
Obarimomoya Nkani’s ear-to-ear smile was perhaps his most famous characteristic, the first-grader’s principal recalled Tuesday at Woodland Elementary School. “He was always smiling, always happy,” Craig Rupert said. “All the good things that you mouth as platitudes about people were true of him.” Counselors spent Tuesday helping students and staff cope with the 7-year-old boy’s death Monday in a nearby crosswalk. http://www.kansascity.com/637/story/1066261.html |
@BIGB1 and ChildCris, please tell us who is the taker and who is the receiver between you 2?
|
This is why I continue to encourage ladies to always think of the alternate B before subjecting a nation of smart people to this two testosterone hyperactive attention deficit lunatics called chidichris and his gay boyfriend BIGB1. I am sorry I forgot to think about your toothless father IBRAHIM BARAWO BABANGIDA (AKA IBB) before posting this video. Why don’t you two take some time off and go drink more BURUKUTU and eat some TUWO and MIA COOKER before coming over hear rambling like headless chicken. |
IS Nigeria the most corrupt nation in Africa? please watch this video and share your opinion. I think Louis Farrakhan was absolutely right on this note. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpiLcxpRl1M |
Shina Rambo ko, this is all myth. the only notorious robber in Nigeria was Lawrence ANINI, and he was eradicated like a headless chicken |
Another question, what does the army or navy does so well that they deserve a better pay than the police who is confronted will tackling crime on daily basis and risking their lives to fight crime? |
One question for all the people complaining about the police. If you are not standing for what you believed in, then who will stand up for you? How long will you continue to run like cowards and submitting to extortion? we need to stop complaining and start acting. stop making excuses and be part of the solution and progress. one nation and I still love the police |
Amazing how you guys are saying police are killing people senselessly. Hear say is not a fact. We need to stop spreading this nefarious rumor about trigger happy policemen. Like I said, if you have no skeleton in your cupboard, take me to the police station, and ask to speak to the DPO or officer in charge, there are process to get this erring officers punished, but Nigerians are too scared to fight for their rights once more. So we result to complying with bribing the officers and never confront the issue head on |
Nigerians need to start engaging in more ideology discursions and not doing the blame game. We can’t continue to live in the box and pray for prosperity and change. It’s mind bugling when we are talking of events occurring in Nigeria and people are making compression to USA or Europe. @ JustGood do we have the same law and legislation in Nigeria that prohibits slavery or child abuse as they do in USA or Europe? |
Nigerians are the problem and the government confronting the police force. If your car credentials are up to state you should have no cause for alarm and refused been extorted. Most Nigerians don’t even have drivers license to operate a vehicle and are quick to condemn the police for extortion when in fact they are the one contributing to the problem. What we need in police is adequate funding, training and professionalism |
IGBO people that I know are law abiding citizens and good people. All the ethnocentric and segregationist that we have on this forum should stop promoting Biafra before we expose them |
there is no credibility to this story. under united state constitution you have to be USA citizen to be recruited to the arm forces. This legislation has to go through senate if it will be rectify. We can go back and forth on this issue, I hate silly and misleading journalism. Just because we have a black president don't mean we have no law in the USA. This is not ABIA state abeg. |
@debosky an ill-informed mind is a cripple mind. So because the poster posted a link means we should not research and do our home work to make sure we are not been misinformed with wrong information? in this day in age, with information technology any person who cares to know the truth just have to do their homework. I am asking someone to please post a link where it clearly said or has the requirements that the army is seeking IGBO KWENU. |
listed below are the fields the army is hiring for Interpreter/Translator (09L) Arabic-Modern Standard Arabic-Gulf-Iraqi Arabic-Egyptian Arabic-Levantine Arabic-Syrian Arabic-Lebanese Arabic-Yemeni Arabic-Sudanese Arabic-Maghrebi Arabic-Algerian Arabic-Libyan Arabic-Moroccan Arabic-Tunisian Pushtu/Pashto/Pachto Pushtu-Afghan Kurdish Kurdish-Behdini (Kurmanji) Kurdish-Sorani Persian-Afghan (Dari) Persian-Iranian (Farsi) Someone please provide us with a link where IGBO or IBO was specifically listed as a requirement? http://www.goarmy.com/JobDetail.do?id=155 |
1st of all, this story and the journalist who published it are misleading. The is no place through the application process where it specifically states that the DHS is looking and seeking IGBO people or translators. To go through the job applicant process you have to access this site listed below and select the department that fits your needs. http://jobsearch.usajobs.opm.gov/dhscareers/ People please reserch stories before posting and misleading people. |
Slavery 1. The practice of slaveholding 2. Work done under harsh conditions for little or no pay 3. The state of being under the control of another person Child abuse The physical, emotional or sexual mistreatment of children. If a child is abducted and is restrained and compelled to be under the control of another person, you can classify that as slavery. Neither can be justified and the current administration and the people need to cry out to abolish this inhumane act. |
Ibaka, an alleged transit point for child trafficking.
|
Another example why this administration has failed to be fruitful. What is the current administration doing to curtailed this epidemic and kidnapping? At least one million Nigerian children are sold into internal and external slavery annually, according to experts who say this has put the country on an odious list of the world’s eight worst abusers of the rights of children. http://www.234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/News/5061495-147/Slavery_is_still_alive_in_Nigeria.csp |
