A Federal High Court in Ibadan yesterday ordered the payment of N10 million as damages on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for embarrassing the former governor of Ekiti State, Chief Ayodele Fayose, by sealing off his two properties (buildings) without any court order that he should forfeit the buildings to the Federal Government. The building and residences of the former governor sealed off by EFCC are located at Plot 12, Block X and Plot 10, Block 1X, GRA Iyaganku, Ibadan. Fayose had approached the Federal High Court to intervene in the matter via a case he instituted against the EFCC. Ruling on the suit, Justice Jonathan Shakarho noted that the action of the EFCC officials who sealed-off the Iyaganku GRA houses of Fayose was highly condemnable, adding that it amounted to malicious embarrassment to the plantiff. Justice Shakarho, in awarding the damages against EFCC, also restrained the anti-graft agency or its officials from issuing misleading press statements, publishing photographs and procuring the release of misleading information about the Fayose’s properties in the print media. The trial judge ruled that the EFCC was being restrained from sealing-off Fayose’s property or infringing on his fundamental and constitutional rights in any manner. http://www.nigeriamasterweb.com/paperfrmes.html |
It will cost you less to buy a car and sell it on your way back. Taxi charge between #1500 to #2000 per hour in abuja. ive been told it cost about #15000 per day so do the math for 2 months |
This is why we need political debate between all aspirants. Jonathan must explain to Nigerians why his administration is not willing to prosecute the most corrupt dictator in Africa. How can we move forward as a nation when we can hold offic holders accountable for their neferious acts? |
This is a prime example why Jonathan must be defeated in the up coming election. His administration has no transparency or credibility when it comes to prosecuting corrupt politicians. How can the government that is supposed to prosecute corrupt politician, be the tool used to stop investigation. http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/front-page-news/18836-124bn-oil-windfall-fg-asks-court-to-reject-okigbo-panel-report-on-ibb |
@ddc machine, political leader of the North. What percent of northerner’s constitute Nigeria? if he is relevant or buying people in the North, Atiku’s lost should be a learning lesson for all corrupt politicians. Not all Nigerians are for sale. |
@Rhino.5dm Alam was a disgusting thief a corrupt politician. I cant blv you think Jonathan removed him from office lol |
@ Andre Uweh now that was the funniest joke of all times. If he is so relevant Atiku would have won the party nomination hands down wont you agree? IBB is old news old corrupt politician. He is lucky we haven’t mobilized to flush him out of the country. |
This is good news for Nigerians, I will rather the money be awarded to the Police than for all the corrupt senators and leaders to siphoned the money into their private accounts |
Your notion that party should be abolished defies logic. What we need is public scrutiny and transparency. Only in Nigeria can you have someone winning an election while incarcerated in jail. |
People need to forget about this evil genius ambition. IBB AKA Badamosi Babangida the greatest looter of African generation is no longer relevant in Nigerian politics. People need to stop the love fest for this disgusting atrocious dictator ruler. We live in a different time that demands different strategy and vision to liberate my beloved people of Nigerians. |
Daniel needs to be careful; did he forget IBB used Olurin to silence Dele Giwa? |
I wonder if this is politically motivated, where they have been all this time. Just complacent? |
The government of United States of America has kickstarted moves aimed at prosecuting Nigeria’s former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, for his roles in the alleged laundering of over $40 million to the country through Jennifer Atiku Abubakar, his fourth wife, between 2000 and 2008. A document obtained by the Nigerian Tribune and which was endorsed by a member of the US House of Representatives, Honourable John Conyers Jr. had confirmed that the US Attorney-General had been empowered to look into the Abubakar case. http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/news/16081-money-laundering-us-moves-to-prosecute-atiku |
Wonder shall never end in this our country I tell you http://www.dailytrust.dailytrust.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=7784:n600m-water-plant-collapses-at-test-run&catid=2:lead-stories&Itemid=8 |
What do you expect from a merciless dictator who was too busy hiding his face and his stolen wealth in DoDon Barracks fully equipped with generator 24/7. Did IBB ever step out of his fence and saw how black the streets of Obalende were after 7? |
Night Nurse wow Gregory Isaacs, the Jamaican singer who pioneered the style of reggae music known as lovers rock and became one of the genre's major stars in the 1970s, has died. He was 59. Isaacs died Monday at his home in London, the BBC reported. He had cancer. Known as the "Cool Ruler," as he styled himself in the title of a 1978 album, Isaacs cut a dapper figure in his designer suits and silk shirts -- an image suited to a style of music that emphasized romantic yearning over reggae's more traditional themes of spiritual and political transformation. http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-gregory-isaacs-20101026,0,2253575.story |
This is really getting interesting by the minute. MR EVIL genius if you cant even win the support of people in your province, then that should be the first clue to you and all the people deceiving you to come back. The presidential aspiration of homeboy, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babanida yesterday, in Minna, suffered a severe setback as the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in his home state, Niger threw its weight behind the presidential ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan. http://www.nigeriamasterweb.com/paperfrmes.html |
This is a well deserved promotion for Okonkow. She performed brilliantly in Ekiti http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/news/11738-police-get-first-female-dig |

IBB assessment is laughable. Talking about who and who can not context, or talking of the recent bomb attack. IBB it’s been over 20 years since Dele Giwa. Why don’t you help us solve this mystery? IBB was your administration not known for infringing on human rights? Closing of media outlets and mass fraud? This is the same IBB that think Blackberry is a fruit; lol Expired retired general. |
IBB will never and I repeat never rule Nigeria again, you guys can keep hoping |
Nigerians need to take a chill pill for real, this is what the media is telling and publishing. The SSS and the investigators had more evidence to work that prompted this arrest. That information is not preview to the public as it can tarnish the prosecution. Every sell phone has an IP address just like a computer that can be used to traced back text or phone records. Type ##3282# on your handsets and look at the data profile setting. Let the freaking police/sss do their job, IBB was involved in Dele Giwa’s assassination. Now the evil genius might be behind this as his illiterate ass is not up beat on technology. Lol EL Rufai said it best. Expired generals who thinks Blackberry is a fruit. |
I thought Marshal, Field Marshal are in the Airforce and Navy and not the Army |
I think the topic of this forum should be renamed to why did IBB legalized corruption and merciless killing in Nigeria during his regime. Why did he banned and prevent freedom of speech and press that he is not trying to use to apple to Nigeria for the next election |
This is nonsense. We keep putting bandage over our wounds without treating the wound. I have been saying it for years after my father retired from the force. Nigeria security issues is parasites devouring its pre and we need to address the root cause before firing and replacing people of valor and preparing them for failure. What can the new service chiefs accomplish without the necessary equipment, ammunition and transportation? I don’t care who you put at the helms of affairs at the police. They will still be ineffective as long as they don’t have the necessary tool to succeed |

Does this list include IBB the greatest thief of all time in AFRICA? |
BIGB1 you are such an idiot leaving in masquerade shell. Why didn’t IBB the greatest thief in Africa, the merciless dictator of all times did all this nonsense that you are preaching when he ruled 8 years ago. The only reason he wants to come back is to cover his tracks so no one will ever prosecute him. |
IBB The greatest thief of all times can not save his dying wife with all the stolen wealth. He will not steal this election as well and will be humiliated once again in defeat. Gone ar those days MR maradonna when you can buy your way to ASO ROCK. How did you become so rich overnight>? please tell us what happened to the $12 billion Golf oil funds or Dele Giwa and we will spear your life. |
