To be honest I'm yet to understand the relevance of you Ijaws aside from your useless oyel which is now the personal property of the North. You guys are the poorest on the index of human resources in the whole of the Niger delta, I still can't name one single Ijaw who has made a positive landmark in the sands of time globally aside from few names like Burna boy and Finidi George... how many global icons have Ijaws actually produced to even funky? The delusions of you Ijaws is a textbook case of a local ekuke dog that thinks he is a German shepherd grin, when oyel becomes low on the global market demands as wr are now seeing an unprecedented appreciation for GAS and Solar energy... what else can Ijaws fall back on when your oyel becomes redundant? I just laugh when I see Ijaw clowns puff out their dry chest like they actually matter, una dey useless in every sense of that word. Direct your frustrations to the North who are pounding you sewage rats in the arse with no lubricant, they have developed their major cities with your oyel and own several oil wells, while the core Ijaw state of Bayelsa is POOR and POLLUTED... Igbos aren't your problem for the umpteenth time. Just for the records, all the attention you irrelevant minorities are getting comes from jobless and irresponsible IPOB miscreants who dey follow una about with no shame! But the greater Igbo nation have corrected their madness and made it clear to the daft IPOB factions that Biafra is no place for non-Igbo minorities but a nation purely built on the homogeneity of Igbo value, language, culture and civilization... so no dey hype yourselves cause Igbos DONT GIVE A F**K about the South South (with notable exceptions for our Obigbo and Enuani people) been included in Biafra, much less Ijaws of all tribes with their track record of been trouble making numbskulls with no metric of human development or value.

The only useful ethnic nation in the so called South South are the AkwaCross nation, the Urhobos and of course our Enuani people... The rest of you "we the South South" clowns in all honesty, DONT COUNT.

Get a grip on yourselves, Igbos no send una, channel your frustrations to Alhaji Danjuma in Kano who is accumulating all your OYEL wells across the Niger delta while your fathers and mothers still bath and drink from creeks polluted by oil spillage.

PoliticsBREAKING: Pandemonium In Abia Communities As Army, Gunmen Clash by mancoconut(op): 7:09pm On Jun 12, 2021
BREAKING: Pandemonium in Abia communities as Army, gunmen clash

There is ongoing heavy gun battle between soldiers of 14 Brigade, Army Headquarters, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s Barracks, Ohafia and unknown gunmen in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.

Information gathered by our reporter has it that the fierce exchange of gunfire between the gunmen and soldiers has caused an exodus of residents and indigenes of Elu, Amangwu, Ebem and Amaekpu, Ohafia LGA from their respective communities to neighbouring villages in order to avoid being caught up in the crossfire.

Unconfirmed reports have it that six soldiers and a member of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) have been reportedly killed in the melee.

The villagers are calling on Senator Orji Kalu, Senate Chief Whip and others State and National Assembly members to come to their aides.

A source who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity stated that many male youths in the community who feared being innocently whisked away by soldiers and other security agents have left their homes in the village for another place of safety in the state.

“We learnt that some boys believed to be members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) came to the popular Ebem motor park and started shooting and later left.

“Soldiers from 14 Brigade Ohafia whose command headquarters is located in the area later came and went after them.

“We learnt that the unknown gunmen killed six soldiers and since that time, it is hell on earth. There have been sporadic gunshots from all corners.

“We have suffered all manner of intimidation from soldiers. Some of our kinsmen have relocated to Uzuakoli, Umuahia, Aba and anywhere they think that is safer for them. We are in the village but our right to movement is determined by soldiers.

“Marriages ceremonies billed to take place any time soon have been shifted indefinitely. We learnt that at Elu, soldiers went to the market and started pursuing people.

“A lot of houses have been burnt at Amangwu Ohafia community. They said that members of ESN were using the houses as their hideout; that I can’t validate. You need to call anyone from Amangwu to validate such claims. But what I can tell you right now is that Ohafia is on fire,” said the source.

An indigene of Amangwu Ohafia who spoke from his hideout confirmed the invasion of his community by soldiers of 14 Brigade, Ohafia with the claim that members of ESN that killed their personnel were hiding in Amangwu community.

The source who disclosed that they later started hearing heavy gunfire in their village in the early hours of Friday, confirmed the burning of people’s houses, arrest and indiscriminate harassment of indigenes of their community the soldiers.

“I don’t know the actual number. Some reports were saying six soldiers were killed, others said four and some ESN members were killed in the heavy gunfire. But the truth is that the Amangwu community including Elu, Ebem and Amaepku are all on fire.

“While we were running away from our community just like other persons, we saw a detachment of soldiers heading towards Ohafia from Umuahia end. We don’t know the fate of our people in the village. Some of them, their phone numbers are not going. It is feared that they have been either arrested or killed by soldiers or other security agents in the state.

“We are begging Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and other federal and state lawmakers to come to our rescue.”

Army spokesman, Capt Dauda Illiya could not take calls placed to his mobile line, while the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Geoffrey Ogbonna could not confirm the report.

According to Ogbonna, he is yet to be informed of such development in Ohafia LGA.

Suspected herdsmen raid Ekiti community, kidnap farmer

Armed men suspected to be herdsmen have abducted a farmer, Alhaji Jimoh Olodan, at Iyemero Ekiti, in Ikole Local government Area of Ekiti State.

The Nation gathered that the incident occurred around 11:15 pm on Friday at Elegure farm settlement which is three kilometers to the community.

An eye-witness, Chief Ajayi Ogungbemi, who is the Babaloja of Iyemero said that the gun-wielding abductors, numbering 18, invaded the farm settlement and shot sporadically into the air before whisking away the farmer.

Ogungbemi said that the gunshots had caused panic, as residents, who had not slept when they came fled into the bush, while those sleeping woke up and took cover outside their residences.

“The manner at which they operated showed that they had a target, who was Alhaji Olodan. The kidnappers upon entering the village went straight to the farmers’ residence and forced him out. He was actually the target.

“This is not the first time Iyemero would be attacked by these evil men and we are suspecting that they are working in connivance with the Fulani herders operating in our farms.

“The herders have been the ones terrorising Elegure and Atu farmsteads in recent times, destroying farmlands and kidnapping our people,” he alleged.

The community leader appealed to the Ekiti State Police command and the Amotekun corps to expedite actions and free the victim from his captors.

When contacted, the Police Spokesman, ASP Sunday Abutu, said the police were yet to receive any report on the attack.

“We are not aware, but we will ensure that we contact all the necessary units to ascertain the veracity of the incident,” he said.

Herdsmen allegedly abduct four passengers on Ibadan-Ijebu Ode road

No fewer than four passengers in a car were, on Thursday morning, kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen along Ibadan-Ijebu Ode road, Tribune Online gathered.

Sources informed our correspondent that the incident, which occurred around 8.25 am caused panic along the road as motorists and commercial motorcycle riders hurriedly made a detour to avoid being trapped by the kidnappers.
One of the victims, who managed to escape from the scene while narrating his ordeal said the Fulani herders suddenly emerged from the bush and blocked the road.
According to the middle-aged man, who was shot in the left hand by the herdsmen, “I was driving my car on our trip to Ijebu Ode from Ibadan when these Fulani herdsmen, numbering eight suddenly came out from the bush and started shooting at us.”

“Immediately, I slowed down to reverse, but another car was already behind. While trying to drive away and escape, I was shot in the hand. But, we managed to flee the scene with my car, which was riddled by bullets.”
“But, occupants of the car behind me were not lucky as they were rounded up by the herdsmen. They were five in number, but four of them were abducted. They spared one elderly man, who is visually impaired.”

“Later, operatives of the Amotekun Security Corps came and they entered the forest to rescue those that have been kidnapped. We went to the Divisional Police station at Orita Challenge to report the incident. But, we were instructed by the policemen there to report the matter at Idi Ayunre Police station,” he remarked.
Efforts to get the reaction of the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Oyo State Police Command, Mr Adewale Osifeso, were unsuccessful as his phone rang out without a response. Neither did he reply to the text message sent to his phone.

Vanguard reliably gathered Tuesday evening that, at Faje community, there were five local hunters, otherwise called community vigilante members, on two motorcycles, that were attacked by their assailants at about 7:00 pm at a bushy path few metres away to the village.

It was also gathered that three of the five hunters were gunned down and killed by the suspected Fulani herdsmen, while two others ran back to the village to inform members of the community of the incident.

However, before people in the village could arrive at the scene of the attack, the suspected herdsmen had reportedly bolted away with the hunters’ two motorcycles, abandoning the one they took to the area

The source said that the abducted villager raised the alarm by using his phone to call his colleagues to relate to them what had happened, including the location of the attackers.

He said, “Then five of the hunters mobilized in two motorcycles to the place. But as they approached the vicinity, the Fulanis immediately opened fire on them killing three instantly on the spot who were on the first motorcycle. The deceased names are Muri, Segun and Laide.

“The other two on the other motorcycles sustained bullet wounds and one of them has been taken to the hospital for treatment while the other who was initially taken to a trado-medical home to remove the bullet later died this morning.

“The incident happened around 7 pm Tuesday night and was preceded by sporadic shooting.”
