Yes. Ironsi truncated our only true federalism which sank us into the shit hole we're currently in. Zik was the one who prevented the inclusion of secession clause in the constitution. So what are you saying exactly? And how many Yorubas have ruled? You dey mad!
Ironsi didn't truncate true federalism, what you half-wits don't realize is that after Ironsi's death, the regional governments still EXISTED... it was Gowon that took over and actually abrogated the existing regional government structure by further creating more states in the build up to the Nigerian civil war; thus completely destroying true federalism. Ironsi was only made a scape goat because he was accused of promoting "Igbo domination", which was the fear of the North following Ironsi's refusal to deal with the January 15 coup plotters...Gowon met the regional governments still intact when he took over, and he was the one that unilaterally dissolved it, yet every history revisionist seems to be develop selective amnesia on this one.

Zik couldn't have single-handedly inserted the clause that prevented secession, or are you trying to Imply that Zik wielded so much unquestionable power that the leaders from other regions just folded their hands as one man changed the cause of a whole nation's political destiny? Don't get me wrong Zik had his faults, and it can't be argued even among Igbos that he was too nationalistic for his own good (unlike Awo who was more pro-Western region and Balewa/Ahmadu Bellow both pro-North), it was only Zik who carried "One Nigeria" on his head to the detriment of even his own Igbo people. That's why till date, Igbos hold Ojukwu in far higher regard that Zik...

Yorubas tend do well in combat sports and have produced the likes of Adesanya and Anthony Joshua etc... Yorubas also do well in football.

Igbos largely dominate/rule football, basketball, American NFL sports and track and field.

South South people especially Delta state indigenes do very well in boxing, track and field, and football.

What are the North good at when it comes to sports?

What will Igbos do with this garbage proposal when our resolution has always been outright dissolution of this useless country? Igbos have made it clear from the onset that we want no part with Aboki savages and their duplicitous yeribanza side-kicks... anything outside of that is a pure waste of time you brainless ape. PoliticsQuestion Of The Day by mancoconut(op): 10:14am On Jul 11, 2021
And this is to the Northerners, how come the average Northerner is so bad at sports despite having quite impressive physical attributes? you will see a typical Hausa or Fulani man and he will more often than not look tall, slim and fit, yet when it comes to representation in all sporting activities globally as regards Nigeria, you will hardly see or hear of a typical Northerner making waves be it in any sporting category. The current Basketball Olympic team list for Nigeria which has players drawn from the diaspora especially American-born kids has a preponderance of Igbos in particular , some South South kids and yorubas in that order, yet there's no single Hausa/Fulani in the list. The same applies to football (except Ahmed Musa who is an Auchi boy born in Kano) and virtually every sport in Nigeria, it's as if Northerners are non-existent.

How come the Fulani boys who look so physically fit enough walk cows over hundreds and thousands of kilometers across West Africa can't channel their impressive physical attributes into sporting events like track and field where endurance comes in handy? aside from the useless Nigerian politics which has been polluted with crass mediocrity; which of course the North apparently only seem to excel in, what else are Northerners even good at?

Edo Community Protests Incessant Kidnapping, Killing along Benin-Auchi Road

Youths and motorists in Urokuosa community in Uhunmwode Local Government Area in Edo State, blocked the road yesterday to protest against incessant insecurity on the Benin-Auchi-Lokoja Road.

The protest, which was the second in less than a month‎, forced long vehicular queues on both sides of the road and left commuters stranded for several hours.

It was gathered that the protest was provoked by an alleged attack of a Toyota Sienna space bus by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Wednesday, which left many passengers injured.

The protesters claimed that a driver of a popular transport company was shot dead last week along the road and threatened not to vacate the road until the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin ‎Obaseki or the Deputy Governor, Mr. Philip Shaibu showed up.

Obaseki, however, reassured that the government would sustain its collaboration with the military, the Nigeria Police Force, members of the Edo State Community Vigilante Security Network and other security outfits in the state to tackle insecurity on the road.

He gave the assurance when the leadership of the Student Union Government (SUG) of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Benin City.

Obaseki, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the security of lives and property of Edo citizens, saying that measures had been put in place to enhance security in the axis and other parts of the state.

He said: “The issue of insecurity on the highway is not peculiar to Edo State alone. We all know about the insecurity going on in the country but the Edo State Government has been proactive by doing a lot of work in collaboration with the local vigilante and other security agencies to boost security along that Uhunmwode and Obagie axis. In the not too distant future, it will be a thing of the past.”

Meanwhile, the Edo State Police Command has announced that its operatives rescued six kidnapped victims along the same Benin-Ekpoma Road.

The police command also added that two suspected kidnappers have also been arrested in the process.

A press statement that was issued by the Spokesman of the Police Command, Mr. Kottongs Bello, said that “on 07/07/2021 at about 18.40 hours, operatives of the Edo State Police Command, Egba Divisional Headquarters, acting on credible information from members of the public that a Toyota Sienna bus with registration number ‘EDO RRU 780 NE’ and its driver, Mr. Eric Ehiaguna, ‘m,’ belonging to a private transport company coming from Ekpoma to Benin City, was intercepted by hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers at Igue-Ozevbaru and kidnapped all the occupants in the process and forced them into the forest.

“The un-relenting DPO Egba Division, S.P. John Emmanuel, swiftly mobilised his patrol teams into the bush for immediate bush combing with a view to ensure safe rescue of the kidnapped victims.

“The police operatives’ team led by the DPO swooped on the kidnappers while leading the victims into the thick forest. The security operatives engaged the hoodlums in a gun duel around Obadan forest. The hoodlums then abandoned all the six (6) kidnapped victims, including the driver Eric Ehiaguna “m,” and fled in to the bush.”

[s]Omo Igbo, below is CIA website showing Yorubas outnumber Igbos.

Will you now apologize to the other guy and correct your post?

I personally don’t even rate CIA stats coz it always sound ridiculous sometimes and vague. How can they say Hausas are 30%. Do they mean ethnic Hausas or people speaking the language? So I doubt the stats.

But for the sake of argument, let’s use it since you already attributed heaven and earth to the CIA in your earlier false assertion.

Igbos can never be more populous than the Yorubas because we are native to not only Nigeria but other countries. I know CIA data is just about Nigeria Yoruba population but if you were to count Yoruba native to other countries, then I don’t see how Igbos will come close.

That Igbo like going to countries that doesn’t make sense doesn’t mean there are no Yorubas in their numbers in better countries.

If you check passport issuance by states also you will understand what I’m saying. Mind you I’m not talking about Lagos number here alone, talking about the figures for the states.[/s]

Fantastic nonsense, apart from UK, Benin republic, Togo and maybe Canada where else yoruba dey travel go again? Posting some recycled and garbage stats can never determine that yorubandits have a larger population than Igbos. Even the so called yorubandits that are indigenous or "native" (according to you) to other demographics outside Nigeria are merely slave exports in places like Brazil, Cuba, Togo, Benin republic and parts of South America that have more or less been acculturated into the larger and more dominant indigenous populations.

It was only a matter of time till you resorted to insults. Very predictable. You should have a better grip on your emotions.

The Yoruba Dangote is Adenuga. You can add Otedola to the mix for good measure and they're also creating thousands of jobs across the country including in Hausa Fulani land through their enterprises such as Globacom, Conoil etc.

Lagos State is engaged in a mutually beneficial, strategic alliance with Kebbi State in the "arid North" to fulfill her rice and other food needs while generating revenue and exploiting comparative advantages. That is strategy not slavery.

I cannot help if you're trapped in a slave mentality but I will surely point out obvious facts.
I think Yorubas and the North should just forge a national unity and mandate to have one country for themselves. It's obvious that the Yorubas are the only USEFUL allies to the North in the present sociopolitical and economic realities of Nigeria... don't you think so? Yorubas and Hausa/Fulani have more similarities than dissimilarities... Lots of Igbos built their wealth almost single-handedly without help from the Federal government, Yorubas on the other hand had lots of help from the Northern controlled Federal governments as applies to the likes of Alajika, Adenuga, Otedola etc so a nation of exclusively Yorubas and Hausa/Fulani should in an ideal world suffice!

NEWS: Ogun villagers flee community over fear of herdsmen attack

Residents of Olokemeji-Olowo in Odede Local Government Area of Ogun State have fled their community over fear of being attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

DAILY POST recalls that the lawmaker representing Odeda State Constituency at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Oludaisi Elemide on Monday cried out over the killing of one of his constituents by suspected herdsmen.

Our correspondent gathered that trouble started last weekend when the village vigilantes captured a suspected kidnapper and held him down.

The suspect, Fulani was said to have pleaded that he be allowed to contact his leaders on phone.

After the call, his leaders reportedly stormed the village and shot dead one vigilante, while rescuing their errand boy.

Exasperated, the villagers had applied some harmful substances on their farms, and this led to the death of many cows belonging to the Fulanis.

As they envisaged possible attack from the herdsmen, the villagers have deserted their homes in Olokemeji-Olowo, a border town between Ogun and Oyo States.
